Artist Biography: Following the release of the first installment of their debut three-part EP, ‘The Sky Burial EPs’ in February 2013, Voros immediately set about establishing themselves on the local Adelaide scene. After just a few months and a handful of shows, the band’s crushing songs and high energy live performances had built them a decent following and helped them to get publicity on several websites, including Metal Underground, Sludge Factory and Metal As Fvck.
The release of the second Sky Burial EP brought the group further attention: Blunt magazine, one of Australia’s leading alternative music publications, made Voros their ‘Fresh Fruit’ of the month in their October addition and the track ‘Pollaxe’ from the EP reached No. 4 on Triple J’s national Unearthed metal charts.
‘The Sky Burial EPs: Part III’ was released on November 6 and once again brought Voros international press. Moreover, it helped the group to land a support slot on Canadian death metal heavyweights Kataklysm’s December 2013, ‘Northern Hyperblasting Over Australia’ tour with Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu.
Voros launched the physical edition of the ‘Sky Burial EPs’, featuring all six tracks from parts I, I and III of the EP, in January 2014. Off the back of this release they have shared the stage with such notable bands as Kataklysm (Can), Gotsu Totsu Kotsu (Jap), 8 Foot Sativa (NZ), Frankenbok, Voyager, King Parrot, Lynchmada, Caligula’s Horse, Lord and Vanishing Point to name a few.
The band released a new single with a music video on Jan 15 2015 with shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Bendigo planned for early 2015.
A full length album has also been written with recording to commence in early-mid 2015.
‘The Sky Burial EPs’ were recorded by Andy Kite at Against The Grain Studios and mixed and mastered by Darren Jenkins (Mortal Sin, Daysend, DepriVation).

Sky Burial
Sky Burial is a 2004 novel by Xue Xinran, her second. Xue is a British-Chinese journalist who writes for The Guardian. Sky Burial was listed in the Los Angeles Times as one of their favorite non-fiction books of 2005.
Plot summary
The novel involves a Chinese woman, Shu Wen, retelling her life in Tibet to Xinran in a tea shop in Suzhou.
In the 1950s, as China revels in its unification under Communism, Shu Wen, a doctor, marries a military doctor who gets orders to go into Tibet to subdue the Tibetan people and bring them under Chinese rule. The reputation of the Tibetans from the Chinese government paints them as sympathetic and welcoming, but gradually she learns of their resistance to subjugation. She is informed that her husband has gone missing, and against the wishes of her family and friends, she leaves her comfortable life in Suzhou to join the Army and search for him in Tibet.
Her unit encounters a Tibetan woman near death in the highlands, and Shu Wen decides to treat the woman and take her away from her soldiers, who suspect she is a scout or a resistance fighter. The two women are soon separated from the regiment. Without supplies and knowledge of the language, she wanders, trying to find her way until, on the brink of death, she is rescued by a family of nomads under whose protection she moves from place to place with the seasons. During these 30 years she learns the Tibetan way of life and gradually loses her sense of Chinese identity, while quietly hoping for news of her husband's fate.

The release of the second Sky Burial EP brought the group further attention: Blunt magazine, one of Australia’s leading alternative music publications, made Voros their ‘Fresh Fruit’ of the month in their October addition and the track ‘Pollaxe’ from the EP reached No. 4 on Triple J’s national Unearthed metal charts.
‘The Sky Burial EPs: Part III’ was released on November 6 and once again brought Voros international press. Moreover, it helped the group to land a support slot on Canadian death metal heavyweights Kataklysm’s December 2013, ‘Northern Hyperblasting Over Australia’ tour with Gotsu-Totsu-Kotsu.
Voros launched the physical edition of the ‘Sky Burial EPs’, featuring all six tracks from parts I, I and III of the EP, in January 2014. Off the back of this release they have shared the stage with such notable bands as Kataklysm (Can), Gotsu Totsu Kotsu (Jap), 8 Foot Sativa (NZ), Frankenbok, Voyager, King Parrot, Lynchmada, Caligula’s Horse, Lord and Vanishing Point to name a few.
The band released a new single with a music video on Jan 15 2015 with shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Bendigo planned for early 2015.
A full length album has also been written with recording to commence in early-mid 2015.
‘The Sky Burial EPs’ were recorded by Andy Kite at Against The Grain Studios and mixed and mastered by Darren Jenkins (Mortal Sin, Daysend, DepriVation).

Jerusalem, located on a plateau in the Judean Mountains between the Mediterranean and the Dead Sea, is one of the oldest cities in the world. It is considered holy to the three major Abrahamic religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
During its long history, Jerusalem has been destroyed twice, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times, and captured and recaptured 44 times.
The oldest part of the city was settled in the 4th millennium BCE. In 1538, walls were built around Jerusalem under Suleiman the Magnificent. Today those walls define the Old City, which has been traditionally divided into four quarters - known since the early 19th century as the Armenian, Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Quarters.
The Old City became a World Heritage site in 1981. Modern Jerusalem has grown far beyond the Old City's boundaries.
Simply wandering the streets of the Old City while capturing the ambiance, historical sites, smells and different people will leave you with unforgettable experiences and a lifetime of amazing memories.
