Udhayanidhi Stalin

Udhayanidhi Stalin is an Indian film actor and producer, who has worked on Tamil language films. The grandson of politician M. Karunanidhi, Udhayanidhi Stalin entered the film industry as a film producer and distributor with his production studio, Red Giant Movies, and made films including Kuruvi (2008), Aadhavan (2009) and Manmadan Ambu (2010). He subsequently made his debut as an actor through the romantic comedy, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi (2012), and has since continued producing and starring in his own films.

Career

Udhayanidhi Stalin's first film as a producer with Red Giant Movies was Kuruvi (2008) starring Vijay and Trisha, while he also produced two films directed by K. S. Ravikumar - Aadhavan (2009) starring Suriya and Kamal Haasan's Manmadan Ambu (2010). He also produced AR Murugadoss's science fiction film 7aum Arivu (2011), while he also worked as a distributor, gaining success through his four releases in 2010 such as Gautham Menon's Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Vijay's Madrasapattinam, Rajesh's Boss Engira Bhaskaran and Prabhu Solomon's Mynaa.

Harris Jayaraj

Harris Jayaraj (born 8 January 1975) is an Indian film composer from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He composes scores and soundtracks predominantly for Tamil films, while also having composed for a few films in Telugu and Hindi languages.

Early life

Harris Jayaraj was brought up in Chennai, He was born into a middle class Tamil Christian Nadar family . He studied at Krishnaswamy Matric School, K. K. Nagar. His father, S. M. Jayakumar, was a noted film guitarist and an assistant to Malayalam music director Shyam and later became a noted musician and film composer. At age six, Harris began his formal training in carnatic music. His father wanted him to become a guitarist and made him learn classical guitar from Mr.A.Abdul Sattar. Harris scored the highest mark in Asia on his 4th grade exam of Trinity College of Music, London.

He started his music career as a guitarist in 1987 at age twelve. After befitting as a guitar player, he started playing keyboard and developed interest over synthesizers. He then started programming with his Roland MC-500 and went on to work as a programmer under more than twenty five music directors in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam, working in more than 600 projects till the year 2000. He worked under noted composers including Raj-Koti, A. R. Rahman, Mani Sharma, Karthik Raja, Vidyasagar. While working as an additional programmer under Rahman, he composed music for various television commercials including a Coca-Cola commercial featuring actor Vijay. In his early years, he admired music composers M. S. Viswanathan, percussionist Aruljothi Balagopal, A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

Amy Jackson

Amy Louise Jackson (born 31 January 1992 ) is a British model and actress, who appears in Indian films, primarily Tamil cinema. After college, she began modelling at age 16, going on to win the 2009 Miss Teen World competition and the 2010 Miss Liverpool title. Subsequently Tamil film director A. L. Vijay spotted her and introduced Jackson as an actress in the 2010 Tamil period-drama Madrasapattinam. While further pursuing her modelling career in the UK, Jackson continued working in India and went on to debut in other film industries in the next years. She had her first Bollywood release in 2012, the romantic drama Ekk Deewana Tha, while 2012 saw the release of her first Telugu film Yevadu. She later starred in Shankar's romantic thriller I, which as of 2015 is the costliest and highest-grossing film featuring her.

Early life

Jackson was born in Isle of Man to English parents, Alan Jackson and Marguerita Jackson. She has an elder sister, Alicia Jackson. The family returned to their parents' home of Woolton, Liverpool, two years after Jackson's birth so that her father, who works as a producer for BBC Radio Merseyside, could continue his media career. Jackson attended St. Edward's College, gaining ten GCSEs, and then went to sixth form to study English language, English literature, and philosophy and ethics.

Gethu

Gethu (English: Super) is a 2016 Tamil crime thriller film written and directed by Thirukumaran. Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin, the film features himself in the lead role along with Amy Jackson, while Sathyaraj and Vikranth portray supporting roles. Featuring music composed by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by Sukumar, the film was released on 14 January 2016 It received mixed reviews

In July 2014, Udhayanidhi Stalin revealed that he would collaborate with director Thirukumaran of Maan Karate (2014) fame for his next production.Gethu was revealed to be the title in September 2014, with Harris Jayaraj and Sukumar signed on as music composer and cinematographer respectively. Actor Vikranth, previously only seen in leading roles, signed on to appear in the film as an antagonist.Sathyaraj was chosen to play the father of Udhayanidhi's character and was given top billing in the credits. The film was revealed to be half complete by April 2015, and a first look poster was released to the public. The team began a second schedule in Kodaikanal later that month.Gethu also marks the first major appearance of Udhayanidhi in a non-comedy film.

Joseph Stalin

Joseph Stalin (/ˈstɑːlɪn/; birth surname: Jughashvili; 18 December 1878 – 5 March 1953) was the leader of the Soviet Union from the mid-1920s until his death in 1953. Holding the post of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, he was effectively the dictator of the state.

Stalin was one of the seven members of the first Politburo, founded in 1917 in order to manage the Bolshevik Revolution, alongside Lenin, Zinoviev, Kamenev, Trotsky, Sokolnikov and Bubnov. Among the Bolshevik revolutionaries who took part in the Russian Revolution of 1917, Stalin was appointed General Secretary of the party's Central Committee in 1922. He subsequently managed to consolidate power following the 1924 death of Vladimir Lenin by suppressing Lenin's criticisms (in the postscript of his testament) and expanding the functions of his role, all the while eliminating any opposition. He remained general secretary until the post was abolished in 1952, concurrently serving as the Premier of the Soviet Union from 1941 onward.
