Duluth i/dəˈluːθ/ is a seaport city in the U.S. state of Minnesota and the county seat of Saint Louis County. Duluth has a population of 86,238 and is the second-largest city on Lake Superior's shores, after Thunder Bay, Ontario, on the lake's Canadian border; it does, however, have the largest metropolitan area on the lake. The Duluth MSA had a population of 279,771 in 2010, the second-largest in Minnesota. The combined urban population of Duluth and its adjacent communities – including Proctor, Hermantown, and Superior, Wisconsin – totals over 131,000, based on 2010 census figures.
Situated at the westernmost point of the Great Lakes on the north shore of Lake Superior, Duluth is accessible to oceangoing vessels from the Atlantic Ocean 2,300 miles (3,700 km) away via the Great Lakes Waterway and the Saint Lawrence Seaway. Lake Superior is the world's largest freshwater lake by surface area.
Duluth forms a metropolitan area with Superior called the Twin Ports. The cities share the Duluth–Superior harbor and together are the Great Lakes' largest port transporting coal, iron ore (taconite), and grain.
Canal Park may refer to a place in the United States:
Lake Superior (French: Lac Supérieur) is the largest of the Great Lakes of North America. The lake is shared by Canada's Ontario to the north, the United States' Minnesota to the west, and the United States' Wisconsin and Michigan to the south. It is generally considered the largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area. It is the world's third-largest freshwater lake by volume and the largest by volume in North America.
The Ojibwe call the lake gichi-gami (pronounced as gitchi-gami and kitchi-gami in other dialects), meaning "be a great sea." Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the name as "Gitche Gumee" in The Song of Hiawatha, as did Gordon Lightfoot in his song, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". According to other sources the actual Ojibwe name is Ojibwe Gichigami ("Ojibwe's Great Sea") or Anishinaabe Gichigami ("Anishinaabe's Great Sea"). The 1878 dictionary by Father Frederic Baraga, the first one written for the Ojibway language, gives the Ojibwe name as Otchipwe-kitchi-gami (reflecting Ojibwe Gichigami). The first French explorers approaching the great inland sea by way of the Ottawa River and Lake Huron during the 17th century referred to their discovery as le lac supérieur. Properly translated, the expression means "Upper Lake," that is, the lake above Lake Huron. The lake was also called Lac Tracy (named for Alexandre de Prouville de Tracy) by 17th century Jesuit missionaries. The British, upon taking control of the region from the French in the 1760s following the French and Indian War, anglicized the lake's name to Superior, "on account of its being superior in magnitude to any of the lakes on that vast continent."
Spirit Mountain can be one of the following places:
A television advertisement (variously called a television commercial, commercial or ad in American English, and known in British English as an advert) is a span of television programming produced and paid for by an organization, which conveys a message, typically to market a product or service. Advertising revenue provides a significant portion of the funding for most privately owned television networks. The vast majority of television advertisements today consist of brief advertising spots, ranging in length from a few seconds to several minutes (as well as program-length infomercials). Advertisements of this sort have been used to promote a wide variety of goods, services and ideas since the beginning of television.
The effects of television advertising upon the viewing public (and the effects of mass media in general) have been the subject of philosophical discourse by such luminaries as Marshall McLuhan. The viewership of television programming, as measured by companies such as Nielsen Media Research, is often used as a metric for television advertisement placement, and consequently, for the rates charged to advertisers to air within a given network, television program, or time of day (called a "daypart").

This is the story of people and places lost to history; of mysterious ruins, forgotten markers and outdated industries; of what was back then. This is the story of "Lost Duluth." The roots of Duluth began at an Ojibwe settlement along the St. Louis River and with the arrival of European settlers grew to eleven townships in all; they stretched from Fond du Lac to Lester Park. From Duluth's humble beginnings sprang industry after industry, including a harbor busier than any other in the United States, including the port of New York.

From M&H; to 10th Ave E along Superior St. I filmed a lot more, including First St, Lake Ave, and Canal Park, but the glare from one of my vents in the shot made it all basically unusable. Unfortunately I didn't notice it until editing.. Also, I sort of mangled the video quality while messing around with some different editing programs. Instead of undoing all the mistakes, I just posted what I had. It's my first one, so they'll get better, hopefully. I'll probably make others soon of the Twin Ports, the Twin Cities, and points in between once I find a better place to mount my camera.

Lake Superior's fury damages Duluth Lake Walk in Canal Park. Massive waves, record snow fall for Friday Oct 10 /27 /17 Natures Show of Force began around 2am.
This was some footage of a mediocre dive we did at a dive site called the Railroad Graveyard near the Fitgers Brewery in Duluth, MN. The old wood timbers were part of a pier that ran out into Lake Superior. The pier had train tracks on it for unloading ships and the story is that there are a lot of train parts scattered on the bottom near this pier from back in the day. There is a lot of topside video for filler material as the actual dive was kinda boring. The wind was 25 MPH and we were in a 14' jonboat so our primary dive site on a wreck called the Wilson about 1 mile straight out from the lift bridge was blown out... This dive was plan B.

James Holst and In-Depth Outdoors Pro Staffer Pat McSharry fish Lake Superior for hard-fighting lake trout. Ice conditions on Lake Superior rarely allow for more than very brief periods of fish-able ice. The frigid temps experienced in 2014 did come with a benefit as it provided anglers with access to a hot lake trout bite that was easily accessible on foot with only the most basic gear. Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world, is well-known for its winter storms - sinking many a ship through the past 150 years. There's even a large shipwreck museum located next to the famous Duluth "Lift Bridge". To do something different, I decided to take a trip with two of my three sons to Duluth from December 24 - 26, 2016. It was a trip filled with lots of fun and relaxation, since they were only home from College for a short time. We toured the Bentleyville Christmas light show on the 24th, and drove up the North Shore of Minnesota to Split Rock lighthouse to take in the sights on Christmas. We then returned to Duluth and ate dinner at the top of the Radisson in the famous revolving restaurant located there. The storm really began to worsen that afternoon, an...
Nobody says the things he says
Nobody moves like he moves
Nobody makes me feel this way
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy
Oh my mother said to me
Girl you better watch yourself
'cause a railroad man is an absent man
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy
We'll live in a little town
North of duluth
Where my grandmother
Lived in her youth
When he comes home at night
He'll call to me
My sweet darling girl
Come lay with me
And oh mother nothing compares
Nothing even comes close
To the way he comes up under me
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy
Marry him in his easter clothes
Marry me in white
Beneath a canopy
Of unearthly light
And our friends and family
Will all come to say
God bless this union
God bless this day
Soon his burdens will be mine
Soon this love will set us free
All my hope lies with him now
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
I'm going to marry that boy
I'm going to marry that boy, oh lord
