The Cinque Terre (Italian pronunciation: [ˈtʃiŋkwe ˈtɛrre]) is a rugged portion of coast on the Italian Riviera. It is in the Liguria region of Italy, to the west of the city of La Spezia. "The Five Lands" comprises five villages: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore. The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Over the centuries, people have carefully built terraces on the rugged, steep landscape right up to the cliffs that overlook the sea. Part of its charm is the lack of visible corporate development. Paths, trains and boats connect the villages, and cars cannot reach them from the outside. The Cinque Terre area is a very popular tourist destination.
The villages of the Cinque Terre were severely affected by torrential rains which caused floods and mudslides on October 25, 2011. Nine people were confirmed killed by the floods, and damage to the villages, particularly Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare, was extensive.
Corniglia is a frazione ("fraction") of the comune of Vernazza in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northern Italt. Unlike the other localities of the Cinque Terre, Corniglia is not directly adjacent to the sea. Instead, it is on the top of a promontory about 100 metres high, surrounded on three sides by vineyards and terraces and the fourth side descends steeply to the sea. To reach Corniglia, it is necessary to climb the Lardarina, a long brick flight of steps composed of 33 flights with 382 steps or, otherwise follow a vehicular road that, from the station, leads to the village. Sometimes a small bus runs up and down here.
The village stretches along the main road, Fieschi Road, and the houses have one side facing this road and the other facing the sea. Corniglia is characterised by narrow roads and a terrace obtained in the rock from which all other four Cinque Terre's villages, two on one side and two on the other, can be seen. The town planning structure presents also original characteristics compared to those of the other villages: the houses are lower set, and only more recently higher, similar to those of the villages of the hinterland.
From the Latin quinque, Cinque carries the meaning of "five" in Italian.

La Spezia (Italian: [la ˈspɛttsja]; Spèza in the local dialect of Ligurian), at the head of the Gulf of La Spezia in the Liguria region of northern Italy, is the capital city of the province of La Spezia.
In terms of population, La Spezia is the second city in the Liguria region, preceded just by Genoa. Located between Genoa and Pisa on the Ligurian Sea, it is one of the main Italian military and commercial harbours and hosts the arsenal of the Italian Navy. It is important for its museums, for the Palio del Golfo, and for the railway and boat links with Cinque Terre.
The area of La Spezia has been settled since pre-historic times. In Roman times the most important centre was Luni, now located in the vicinity of Sarzana (city near La Spezia). Being the capital of the short-lived Niccolò Fieschi Signoria in the period between 1256 and 1273, inevitably linked with the Genoese vicissitudes until the fall of the Republic of Genoa, it grew and changed to develop following the lines of the Ligurian capital. In fact, this Ligurian influence still is visible in the urban layout as well as in the types of buildings and decorations. It can be seen by going along the carrugio, the narrow street dividing the Old Town into two, called Via del Prione taking its name from a pietrone or large stone, in local dialect in fact prione, from where public announcements were read.

http://tourvideos.com/ Corniglia, is unique among the five because it's up on the hill with no direct access to the water, so there is no boat service here. The hiking trail takes about 90 minutes, or you can arrive by train in 5 minutes. Either way this little speck of a town is worth seeing because it is the smallest and most isolated, and perhaps the oldest. Yes, there are going to be more stairs -- but just a little bit of climbing will get you around.

Corniglia is the only town in Cinque Terre that is not directly on the water. Up some 280 steps from the train station, small Corniglia affords many wonder views.

Corniglia is a part of the comune of Vernazza in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northern Italy with a population less than 300. It is the only village of the Cinque Terre which is not directly adjacent to the sea. Corniglia is characterised by narrow roads and a terrace in the rock from which all other four Cinque Terre's villages, two on one side and two on the other, can be seen. A challenging access to the town is the famous staircase “Lardarina”, starting from the railway station area, with 22 flights and 377 steps. On the opposite side of the town, in the direction of Vernazza, you can see the famous pebbly beach of Guvano. Music Credit : YouTube Audio Library / Aaron Lieberman

Corniglia, in Cinque Terre, Italy is a small village on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline that makes up a part of the Cinque Terre (also know in Italian as the Five Lands). This little village was the only one I missed in my first Cinque Terre vlog because I ran out of time, so I made a point to go back the following day, and I think I may have saved the best for last! 🌺🌊✨☀️ CINQUE TERRE PART 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4VwvZWGOyY&t;=4s ✧✧✧ ✦ LET'S CONNECT ✨ ↠ Instagram: https://instagram.com/katiescanlan ↠ Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/katie_scanlan ↠ My Site: http://www.katiescanlan.com ✧✧✧ My YouTube channel features vlogs of my nomadic life, my travels, minimalism, and spirituality. Anche la più "montuosa" delle Cinque Terre ha un accesso al mare
After we arrived in Corniglia it was one setback after another. After getting injured and walking over a mile for nothing, we were ready to just get out of Corniglia. The hike from Corniglia to Vernazza was again gorgeous. We however didn't really like being back on the blue trail because it had a lot of other people on it. It kind of took away from the feeling of being in nature.

Observarte bien, cerca
Descubriéndote
Puedo encontrar, tu ser
Sin perderme esta vez
Recorriéndote, por dentro te conozco bien
Hay un secreto entre los dos
Que cada día crece más.
Quiero, que estés muy cerca
Quiero, imaginar
Quiero, historias nuestras
Quiero, ir y volver
Quiero, texturas nuevas
Quiero, junto a ti
Formas al revés
Que se funden una y otra vez
Un rojo intenso
Hoy no escaparé
Me disuelvo en ti, hasta morir
Y puedo tocar y ver
Los colores en tu imaginación
Y dibujar
Mi respiración
Y mezclarnos más, mucho más
Quiero...
