[from trailer]::Mrs. Fox: You know, you really are... fantastic.::Mr. Fox: I try.
[from trailer]::Mr. Fox: [looking at an electric fence] Huh. This could be difficult.::Squirrel: It's fatal for humans, but we got enough fur to keep the voltage from getting to us. Let's go!
Mr. Fox: [in a cellar with many of the other animal characters] Allright, let's start planning. Who knows shorthand? [Linda raises her hand] Great! Linda! Lutra Lutra - you got some dry paper? [she holds up some paper] Here we go. Mole! Talpa Europea! What d'you got?::Mole: I can see in the dark.::Mr. Fox: That's incredible! We can use that! Linda?::Linda Otter: Got it.::Mr. Fox: Rabbit! I didn't see you sitting in the dark over there.::[grins sheepishly]::Mr. Fox: Yeah! No actually, there's a fire. I just got the call; they said maybe it's arson. I've got to interview the marshal and see if it's...::Mrs. Fox: Kylie,::[turns on the light]::Mrs. Fox: is he telling the truth?::Kylie: [turns to Mr. Fox] I... I don't want to be put into the middle of this!::Mr. Fox: Thanks, Kylie.::Mrs. Fox: [notices something off to her right] Why is he wearing that bandit hat? [points to Kris, who is halfway out the door leading to the kitchen from the starwell leading upstairs; Kris pulls his bandit hat up to unobscure his face]::Mr. Fox: His ears were cold. He's not with us. [to Kris] Go back to bed. [Kris leaves and closes the door]::Mrs. Fox: If what I think is happening is happening - it better not be.
Ash: You should probably put your bandit hat on now. Personally, I- I don't have one, but I modified this tube sock.::[they put on their 'hats']::Kristofferson: We look good.::Ash: Yeah, we do.
Mr. Fox: [sighs] Who am I, Kylie?::Kylie: Who how? What now?::Mr. Fox: Why a fox? Why not a horse, or a beetle, or a bald eagle? I'm saying this more as, like, existentialism, you know? Who am I? And how can a fox ever be happy without, you'll forgive the expression, a chicken in its teeth?::Kylie: I don't know what you're talking about, but it sounds illegal.
[from trailer]::Mr. Fox: Honey, I am seven fox years old. My father died at seven and a half. I don't want to live in a hole anymore, and I'm going to do something about it. [tears into his toast in an animalistic manner]
Badger: In summation, I think you just got to not do it, man. That's all.::Mr. Fox: I understand what you're saying, and your comments are valuable, but I'm gonna ignore your advice.::Badger: The cuss you are.::Mr. Fox: The cuss am I? Are you cussing with me?::Badger: No, you cussing with me?::Mr. Fox: Don't cussing point at me!::Badger: If you're gonna cuss with somebody, you're not gonna cuss with me, you little cuss!::Mr. Fox: You're not gonna cuss with me!::[Both start snarling at each other, and then settle down]::Mr. Fox: Just buy the tree.::Badger: Okay.
Mr. Fox: [Mr. Fox, Ash, Kris, and Kylie are on a motorcycle, and Mr. Fox refers to a quadruped wolf at the edge of a snowy forest] I don't think he speaks English or Latin.::Mr. Fox: [loudly, to the wolf] Pensez-vous que l'hiver sera rude?::Mr. Fox: [aside] I'm asking if he thinks we're in for a hard winter.
[Coach Skip is teaching Kristofferson the rules of Whackbat]::Coach Skip: Basically, there's three grabbers, three taggers, five twig runners, and a player at Whackbat. Center tagger lights a pine cone and chucks it over the basket and the whack-batter tries to hit the cedar stick off the cross rock. Then the twig runners dash back and forth until the pine cone burns out and the umpire calls hotbox. Finally, you count up however many score-downs it adds up to and divide that by nine.::Kristofferson: Got it.

Plot: Mama hen takes her chicks out to breakfast, but little Wilbur can't get any worms. Finally, a big worm escapes, and he runs after it; meanwhile, the rest of the family has gone inside to escape a thunderstorm. Mama realizes Wilbur's missing and goes after him, just before the weasel (hidden behind a tree) gets him. He's caught a cold and is put straight to bed. Mama runs for the doctor; the weasel disguises himself as doctor Quack and the chicks open the door for him. Wilbur sneezes off the disguise and they recognize Willy the Weasel. The chicks prepare for war: bottle-cap helmets, popcorn ammo. The weasel corners Wilbur, who sneezes in his face and gives the weasel a sneezing fit. His powerful sneezes, among other things, blow the pages out of a book, which closes to reveal the title Gone with the Wind. Wilbur finally beans the weasel. Mama returns home with the real doctor, whose castor oil scares a revived Willy off.

WEASEL RIDES WOODPECKER
Weasel Flying on a Woodpecker. In what must have been a surreal moment, Martin Le-May witnessed a weasel flying on the back of a woodpecker. Although an event like this is almost unheard of it can kind of be explained considering the relationship both animals share in the wild. I’ll leave it to you to guess why or how the weasel ended up on the woodpecker’s back.

Ozzy the Weasel's War Dance.
The weasel war dance is a colloquial term for a behavior of excited ferrets and weasels. In wild animals, it is speculated that this dance is used to confuse or disorient prey. In domestic animals, the war dance usually follows play or the successful capture of a toy or a stolen object and is commonly held to mean that the weasel is thoroughly enjoying itself.

Weasel Flying on a Woodpecker. In what must have been a surreal moment,
Martin Le-May witnessed a weasel flying on the back of a woodpecker. Although an event like this is almost unheard of it can kind of be explained considering the relationship both animals share in the wild.
I’ll leave it to you to guess why or how the weasel ended up on the woodpecker’s back.

More Info:
Females reach sexual maturity at about 3 months of age.
Mating typically occurs in late spring and summer and gestation periods vary with the species.
The weasel’s bloodlust is instinctual and triggered by movement. Even on a full belly, a weasel will kill anything that moves and looks like prey. And to the tenacious weasel, pretty much everything looks like prey.
Tiny weasels have been seen killing and carrying off animals twice, four times, and even 10 times their size.
Aside from when they are mating or weaning young, weasels are solitary animals that fend for themselves in the wild. They are known to be territorial, defending their home ranges when invaded
Weasels sometimes kill more food than they can eat.
Weasels raid chicken coops and eat eggs.
Owls, snakes and dogs and cats all hunt weasels.
The long-tailed weasel is larger in size with males ranging anywhere from 14 to 16 inches long and weighing 3 to 7 ounces.
Least weasel males range from 8 to 9 inches long and weigh about 2 ounces.
Males of both species are larger than the females.
Some weasel species have fur that changes color; in the winter, their fur will turn white to blend in with the snow. This is often referred to as the “ermine” phase.
A group of weasels may be referred to as a “boogle”, “confusion”, “gang” or “pack”.
Weasels will often hunt during the day, but are most active at night. They are agile enough to climb trees to take eggs from nests, and are small enough to enter narrow passageways leading down to the burrows of mice and voles.
The species can also be differentiated by their tail; the long-tailed weasel has a black tipped tail, while the tip of least weasel's tail is brown in summer.
Weasels are widespread and common throughout
England, Scotland and Wales but absent from
Ireland, the
Isle of Man and most smaller islands. Like the stoat, it is still persecuted by gamekeepers. Weasels look very similar to Stoats, the only noticeable
difference being, that unlike stoats, weasels do not have a black tip to the tail.

Watch my superstar weasel complete an assault course in my studio.
First up the maze, then slip into perspex hamster tubing, over a bicycle wheel through a slalom, sheering up a wall then down a slide and into his comfort sock, where he usually likes to take a nap!
Read my blog to find out why I built him this assault course.

World’s Deadliest
Predators is a new series that looks at most riveting moments of animal predation, breaking down the struggle for survival and supremacy into five action-packed episodes. Top
Hunters focuses on the most feared animals in their class: animals at the top of their food chain; the hunters who are prey to no other animal.
Killer Packs illustrates when predators multiply their advantage over prey by banding with others of their species to hunt.
Lethal Weapons shows that the physical attributes and built-in concealed weapons have the ability to make an animal a top predator. Our Superpowers episode focuses on the animals that see, hear, and smell better than any others…and that relative to their size on are the fastest and strongest creatures on the planet. And whether it is over food, territory or sex, animals go to war within their species and against other species…
Battles dissects these conflicts, from the strategy to the play-by-play. These five episodes bring together dozens of species, which are extraordinary, savage, and the World’s Deadliest Predators.

The least weasel (
Mustela nivalis) is the smallest member of the Mustelidae (as well as the smallest of the Carnivora), native to
Eurasia,
North America and
North Africa, though it has been introduced elsewhere. It is classed as
Least Concern by the
IUCN, due to its wide distribution and presumably large population.[1]
Despite its small size, the least weasel is a fierce hunter, capable of killing a rabbit 5-10 times its own weight
