Barney may refer to:
Barneys New York is an American chain of luxury department stores founded and headquartered in New York, New York.
Barneys New York primarily competes with luxury department stores Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, as well as Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom, and Lord & Taylor.
The chain operates 27 flagship, boutique, and outlet stores in the United States. In addition, eleven stores in Japan are licensed and operated by a third party.
The company began in 1923, when Barney Pressman opened his first store in Manhattan with $500 raised by pawning his wife's engagement ring in order to lease a 500-square-foot (46 m2) space at Seventh Avenue and West 17th Street in Manhattan with 20 ft (6 m) of frontage. Barney's Clothes was stocked with 40 brand name suits and a big sign with a slogan, "No Bunk, No Junk, No Imitations." Barney's sold clothing at discounted prices by purchasing showroom samples, retail overstocks, and manufacturers' closeouts at auctions and bankruptcy sales. It also offered free alterations and free parking to attract customers.
The role of an Assistant Director on a film includes tracking daily progress against the filming production schedule, arranging logistics, preparing daily call sheets, checking cast and crew, and maintaining order on the set. They also have to take care of the health and safety of the crew. The role of an Assistant to the Director is often confused with Assistant Director but the responsibilities are entirely different. The Assistant to the Director manages all of the Director's in development, pre-production, while on set, through post-production and is often involved in both personal management as well as creative aspects of the production process. Historically, Assistant to Director was a stepping stone to directing work; Alfred Hitchcock was an AD, as was James McTeigue. This transition into film directing is no longer common in feature films. It is more common now for an Assistant to the Director to transition to a production management or producer role than to directing. In America, an Assistant to the Director is not a unionized role, but Assistant Directors of every level require membership to the Director's Guild of America. The DGA strictly monitors and regulates employment frequency and duration, salary, and promotions of Directors and are usually completely different from the requirements of filmmaking and should not be confused.
The Wheels were a 60s R&B and blues-influenced rock band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, who came from the same music scene that produced the better-known band, Them, led by Van Morrison. Their best-known membership consisted of Brian Rossi (keyboards and vocals), Rod Demick (rhythm guitar and vocals), Herbie Armstrong (lead guitar), Tito Tinsley (bass guitar), and Victor Catling (drums). Morrison was a member of the band, briefly, before they became known as the Wheels. They are best remembered for writing and recording the original version of "Bad Little Woman", later covered in America by The Shadows of Knight.
The band began in 1964, initially known as the Golden Eagles and, for a time, were the house band for the Plaza, a popular local venue. It was during this time that Van Morrison did a brief stint on vocals and saxophone with the band. Later in 1964, not long after changing their name to the Wheels, they were fired from the Plaza, so, in September of that year, they moved to Blackpool in northern England, where they were able to find another club residency and built a strong local following. In 1965, their original rhythm guitarist, Kit Carson, left to and was replaced by Rod Demick, formerly of Tony and the Telstars. They were signed to a record deal with EMI Columbia in 1965. Tommy Scott, who had previously worked with Them, would produce their records for the label. at Regent Sound in London, they recorded and released a cover of the Van Morrison-penned "Gloria" in September '65, which had already been recorded by Them, and would later become a big hit in the USA for the blues-based Chicago garage rock band, the Shadows of Knight.

Barney brings out his Game Machine for an afternoon full of fun and games. But when the machine is empty; Barney and his friends look for games to fill it up so they can play a big game. After the machine is filled with games, the kids turn the crank and out comes one big gameboard filled with fun and surprises! Another favorite of mine. One of the few Barney videos I had as a child Look forward to seeing the other home videos that are in Barney Home Video canon.

Low and behold the first Barney Home Video. (Please ignore the wear in the video.)
On a road trip to their Grandparents' farm, Abby and her friend Marcella are content playing with a stuffed Barney doll, while Cody believes Barney's "kids stuff." At the farm house, Cody takes Barney from the girls and hides him in the shower, where he comes to life. Barney tries to convince Cody that it was his imagination that made him real, but fails to do so. Instead he points out that real dinosaurs don't laugh or talk or laugh- there aren't any real dinosaurs anymore! Cody plays a trick for Barney to disappear, because he doesn't believe in him. For revenge, Barney reappears because he believes in Cody. Wishing to do something no one's done before, an egg shoots down from the sky into the barn. The next day, Barney, Abby and Marcella went to have fun on the farm and Cody steps in co...

Inherently, the video explores how to get a foothold in this present time: restoring the importance of femininity in men, and the importance to women in a society governed by the largest patriarchy, the Catholic Church. The apple brings to mind "Adam and Eve". Rather than Satan's temptation for knowledge, this symbol for me has a special meaning of purity. The woman, or the female side, emerges victorious at the end of the video, because she can "mix" with this purity. While the man, becau...

Eye know... I'm not gonna sleep 2nite
Cuz u're not by my side and that ain't right
Eye thought that we bought this bed 4 2
What good is it if eye'm not with you
[Chorus]
Gimme a page on my 2-way
Eye'll hit you back with no delay
When you hear all eye've got 2 say
U're gonna c me
Whether in person or the phone
I've got 2 get you all alone
And when eye do, baby, it's on
U're gonna c me
U're gonna c me
There's never a minute that eye find
That you don't ever cross my mind
If you could just hold me tight u'd c
There is nothing harder 4 you than me
[Chorus]
U're the reason I took a rope
& lassoed the moon
2 prove that when it comes 2 you
There's nothing that eye won't do
Eye would stare in2 the sun
If you would be mine
It's not so great a leap
Since 2 all others eye am blind
Eye know eye'm not gonna sleep 2nite
Cuz ur not by my side and that ain't right
[Chorus]
