The club was founded on 7 January 1977 and plays in the Chilean top flight, the Primera División, where they have played since 1978. Cobreloa is a relatively new club, having been founded on 7 January 1977. The name Cobreloa comes from combining the Spanish word for copper (Cobre), and Loa, after the province and the Loa River, the longest river in Chile, which is located near Calama and Chuquicamata, the world's largest open pit copper mining|mine.
The club was able to establish itself in Chile's top flight very quickly, earning promotion after its first season, where they have stayed ever since. Only four years after their foundation, Cobreloa reached the finals of the Copa Libertadores in 1981, losing in a third match to Brazilian club Flamengo. Cobreloa reached the Copa Libertadores final the following year, losing to Peñarol of Uruguay. The club also reached the semi-final of the Copa Libertadores in 1987.
Primera B de Chile (English: Chilean First B Division) is the second tier in the Chilean football league system, and is organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional. It was established in 1952 as Segunda División, and later renamed in 1996 to the current name. Since 1954, automatic promotion to and relegation from Campeonato Nacional has been granted, although Palestino and Rangers were promoted to the top flight in the first season.
These are the teams participating in the Chilean Primera B as of 2015-16:
Club Social y Deportivo Colo-Colo (Spanish pronunciation: [kolo ˈkolo]) is a Chilean football club based in Macul, Santiago. Founded in 1925, they play in the Primera División (top–tier), from which they have never been relegated. The team plays its home games at the 47,000 seatEstadio Monumental since 1989. Colo-Colo is regarded as the most successful club of Chilean football.
Colo-Colo has won more League titles (31) than any other Chilean club and a record ten Copa Chile titles. It was the first Chilean team to win a continental tournament conquering the 1991 Copa Libertadores (which it failed to win in 1973) after beating Olimpia 3–0 on 5 June with Mirko Jozić as manager. In 1992, the club went on to win two international titles that were Recopa Sudamericana and Copa Interamericana, completing the club´s three international honours.
The club's most-winning player is Lizardo Garrido with fifteen titles, the historic top-scorer is Francisco Valdés with 215 goals, and the player with most appearances is the former goalkeeper Misael Escuti with 417 games.
Deportes Antofagasta, is a Chilean football club based in the city of Antofagasta, that is a current member of the Campeonato Nacional. The club's home stadium is the Estadio Bicentenario Calvo y Bascuñán, that has a 21,178 spectators capacity.
The club was founded on May 14, 1966 when the amateur clubs Unión Bellavista and Portuario Atacama merged. The team's original name was Club de Deportes Antofagasta Portuario.
The team's first head coach was the 1980s Chilean National manager Luis Santibañez. The team finished 10th in their first league season.
Under coach Francisco Hormazábal, Antofagasta was crowned champions of the second division in 1968. The final was played on January 19, 1969 against San Luis. The only goal of the match was scored by the Paraguayan player Juan Pelayo Ayala. The team was promoted to first division after that game.
On July 21, 1974 the team changed its name to Club Regional Antofagasta.
In 1977, the team finished 18th in the table and returned to the second level.
The Copa Chile (Chile Cup) is an annual cup competition for Chilean football teams. Due to time constraints and club pressure, the trophy was cancelled in 2000, but returned in 2008. Its precursor was the Campeonato de Apertura (Opening Championship), played from 1933 to 1950.
The cup is now open to every member club of the Chilean football league system, from professional teams; (Primera División and Primera B), down to teams from the ANFA; Tercera A and Tercera B, as well as Regional Amateur champions teams from around the country. And since the season 2009, the winners obtains a direct Copa Sudamericana spot for the next season.
In the history of the tournament, the Primera División teams have dominated the competition; but, because this is contested in a knockout tournament format, the opportunity for lower level teams upsetting a top level squad is a real possibility. That was the case in the seasons 1960, 1962, 2009 & 2010, when the winners were clubs from the second level: La Serena, Luis Cruz, Unión San Felipe and Municipal Iquique. A major upset almost occurred in the 2008 competition, when Ovalle (from the third level league) became finalist, losing 1-2 to Universidad de Concepción at the final, in a very close match.

She turned the key, opened the door
Was he there she wasn't sure
She didn't want to fight no more
She had good intentions
In that moment face to face
She saw the look upon his face
She held him in a tight embrace
There was warm affection
Took a while before she spoke
There were things she had to know
Compose herself and she said
Baby
Tell me what you dream, what you see
Tell me how you feel, oh yeah
Tell me what you dream
Will you share it all with me
What you dream
Baby you can talk to me
They agreed to meet halfway
They would take it day by day
He didn't want to lose her twice
That would cut him like a knife
He decided then and there to reveal his inner fears
He'd always loved her from the start
It was time to give his heart
Took a while before he spoke
There were things he had to know
Compose himself and he said
Baby
Tell me what you dream
What you see
