Debrecen (Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈdɛbrɛt͡sɛn], known by alternative names) is the second largest city in Hungary after Budapest. Debrecen is the regional centre of the Northern Great Plain region and the seat of Hajdú-Bihar county. It was the largest Hungarian city in the 18th century and it is one of the most important cultural centres of the Hungarians. Debrecen was also the capital city of Hungary during the revolution in 1848-1849 and by the end of the World War II in 1944-1945.
The city was first mentioned by the name "Debrezun" in 1235. The name derived from the Turkic word "debresin", which means "live" or "move" and it is also a male given name. Other theory says the name is of Slavic origin meaning well-esteemed (Polish: Dobrze cenione). In other languages, the name of the city varies more in spelling than in pronunciation: Romanian Debreţin, German Debrezin, Serbian Debrecin, Czech and Slovak Debrecín.
Debrecen, typical of Central Europe, has a climate on the boundaries of oceanic (Köppen Cfb) and humid continental (Dfb).
The University of Debrecen (Hungarian: Debreceni Egyetem) is a university located in Debrecen, Hungary. It is the oldest continuously operating institution of higher education in Hungary (since 1538). The university has a well established programme in the English language for international students, particularly in the Medical field, which first established education in English in 1986. There are nearly 4000 international students studying at the university. Until 2014 technical Academy Awards (Oscars) have been awarded to five former students.
The university also has a Basic Medicine campus in Geochang County, South Korea.
Higher education began in Debrecen with the Calvinist College of Debrecen, which was founded in 1538. Over centuries of its existence it was one of the key institutions of higher education in Hungary. In the beginning of the 20th century the College was transformed into a university, and has a strong link and cooperation with the present Calvinist College's Debrecen Reformed Theological University.

10 Best Places to Visit in Hungary While Hungary is famous for its goulash and paprika (which, by the way, originated in the New World), it’s known for much more than that, including world-class fine wines and its pear liqueur, an orange-colored sweet dessert treat, sometimes known as palinka. Visitors to Hungary quickly learn it is a land of many cultures, having been ruled over by the Romans, Ottomans, Mongols, Magyars, Czechs and the Soviets. Remains of Roman fortifications can be found as can utterly spectacular buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. Depression - Klammer um meinen Kopf
Depression - hast nicht mal angeklopft
Depression - Ungebetener Gast
Depression - Produzierst in mir Haß
Depression, Depression
Depression - Meine Seele tut weh, so weh
Depression - Will keinen Menschen mehr seh'n
Depression - Im Meer von Alkohol
Depression - Hab' meine Achtung verlor'n
Depression, Depression
Depression, Depression
Depression, Depression
Depression, Depression
Ich sitz' in einer Wattekugel
Und tue mir so leid
Ich habe keine Hoffnung mehr
Daß mich noch jemand befreit
Depression - Hab' keine Tränen mehr
Depression - Und die Häuser sind leer, so leer
Depression - Du bist so unsagbar stumm
Depression - Bitte bring mich nicht um
Depression, Depression
Depression, Depression, Depression, Depression...
