Family reunion of the Meyer Family in the summer of 1953 at the Menzel family farm (Glendale mink farm) in Petersburg, Michigan. Family members from Detroit, Monroe, Northville, Michigan and Toledo, Ohio are present. Reunion scenes begin about 1:05 into the video following brief scenes from a vacation Bible school and church picnic of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Toledo, Ohio. 8 mm movie mostly filmed by Rev. A Multimedia Performance Art Production at the Broach Theater featuring live music. On October 8th & 9th , 2010, between 8 and 10 pm at the Broach Theater in Greensboro NC, Crystal Bright and local photographer, Rusty McDonald (DividingMe Photography,) presented a unique musical interpretive movement theater production entitled "Illuminating & Transcending the Shadow." The script (written by Crystal Bright with the help of Rusty McDonald for conceptual ideas) was inspired by myths and folk tales from around the world. The theme of the story is about overcoming our self imposed oppression that holds us back in so many ways. There was a cast of 16 characters aside from the band, professional lighting, and a beautiful stage set!
The show was sponsored by At the Ritz Costumes, Hot Topic, and Elsewhere Artist Collective. This was a very low budget production. The people who were involved were mostly amazing volunteers that were there for the love of something new and interesting.
