Jovan Ajduković

Jovan Ajduković (Јован Ајдуковић; 10 January 1968, Novi Sad, Serbia) is a Serbian linguist.

Jovan Ajduković graduated from the University of Belgrade, Serbia in 1991. His main research intereset is contact linguistics and Russian linguistics, in particular, study of Russianisms in Slavic languages, which was the topic of his Master and Ph.D. theses.

From 2003 to 2012 he has been an editor of the international online journal Balkan Rusistics (University of Sofia). Currently he is a member of the Advisory Board of The International Journal of Russian Studies (Ankara University, Turkey).

In April 2005 Jovan Ajduković gave three public lectures at the University of Vienna and the University of Graz, Austria. In October 2006 he gave a special lectures on Contact Linguistics and Russian Internet Resources at the Institut of Western and Southern Slavic Studies, Warsaw University, Poland.

Jovan Ajduković is best known for his contribution to the so-called "Theory of Contacteme" (Ajduković 2004) and for his A Contactological Dictionary of Slavic Languages: The Contactological Dictionary of Adaptation of Bulgarian Contact-Lexemes under Russian Influence (Ajduković 2010, 2011), which formally describes the adaptation of Contact-Lexemes under Russian Influence on each level of language - orthographic, prosodic, phonetic-phonological, derivational, morphological, semantic, stylistic, syntactic and conceptual. According to Ajduković 2004 a contacteme, or the general unit of linguistic contactology "is a quantum of structured knowledge about the dominant language influence."

The Voice of Croatia (season 1)

The Voice – Najljepši glas Hrvatske is a Croatian television music competition to find new singing talent. The first series began on 17 January 2015 and ended on 25 April 2015. The show was co-presented by Ivan Vukušić and Iva Šulentić on HRT. The series was won by Nina Kraljić, who was on Jacques Houdek's team.

Six artists from each team progressed to the live shows. Each coach pitted two of their twelve artists together as they performed a song of the coach's choice at the same time in a boxing ring-styled stage. After the two artists completed the song, one progressed to the live shows and one was eliminated from the competition. Once the coaches had completed this process, they each had five artists for the live shows.

The battle advisors for these episodes were: Marija Husar and Boris Đurđević working with Indira Levak, Aljoša Šerić and Maja Posavec working with Ivan Dečak, Miro Buljan and Djordija Palić working with Tony Cetinski, and Tihomir Preradović and Marina Đurović Čelić working with Jacques Houdek.

Voice of Croatia

The International programme of Croatian Radio "Voice of Croatia" (Croatian: Međunarodni program Hrvatskoga radija "Glas Hrvatske") is the international service of Croatian state radio via satellite and Internet.

The programme is for Croatians living abroad, Croatia's minority groups and the international community. While mostly in the Croatian language, news and segments of up to 15 minutes duration are broadcast in English, German, Italian, Hungarian, and Spanish at different times of the day.

The station is no longer available on shortwave, and also stopped transmitting from Zadar on AM (1134 kHz, covering Europe) on January 1, 2014. Prior to leaving shortwave, transmitters in Germany were rented to reach audiences in the Americas, while the Pacific region was covered for four hours daily via the relay station in Singapore.
