This is one of the best songs ever written.
Chris released this song as the first single from his newest record "From A Room: Volume 1" and I was really excited for it to hit radio and change country music. Chris recorded it with only a single acoustic guitar and his vocals, so it was very different from what normally ends p being a smash hit on country radio, but he gave an incredible performance and I wanted to believe that a song this good couldn't possibly be brushed aside by mainstream radio. Sadly, though, the single didn't do well and was pulled and replaced by a different song from Stapleton's new album.
I first heard this song as track two of Lee Ann Womack's 2008 album Call Me Crazy (an incredible album), and Either Way is my favorite song from it. It's heartbreaking when Lee Ann sings it, and Chris kills it on the harmony vocals. You can imagine my excitement when Sea Gayle Publishing posted on instagram that Either Way was going to be the single from Chris' new album.
So with the song still in relative obscurity despite having been recorded 100% perfectly twice, I decided to take a crack at it myself. Lee Ann did the laid back organ-and-fiddle-heavy version, Chris did the stripped down acoustic version, so I figured I'd omit organ, fiddle, and acoustic from my recording entirely and combine the styles of bluegrass (like Chris Stapleton's former band The Steeldrivers), Brad Paisley (who cut Chris' song "The Best Thing That I Had Goin" on his Mud On The Tires album) and Dierks Bentley (who, like Chris, had a ton of music recorded and mixed at Station West Studios and also had Chris sing on his Up On The Ridge album). I figured this was the best way to be different from the two perfect versions out there, tip my hat to Chris, and also be myself.
Thanks to Ethan Dubois for manning the camera. Everything else is me.
This whole thing was done between 1pm Saturday July 1 and 9pm Sunday July 2.

Chris Stapleton
Christopher Alvin "Chris" Stapleton (born April 15, 1978) is an American country and bluegrass musician. He is an established songwriter with six number-one songs including the five-week number-one "Never Wanted Nothing More" recorded by Kenny Chesney, "Love's Gonna Make It Alright" recorded by George Strait, and "Come Back Song" recorded by Darius Rucker. As a songwriter, over 150 of Stapleton's songs have appeared on albums by such artists as Adele, Luke Bryan, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley. He has co-written with notable artists like Vince Gill, Peter Frampton and Sheryl Crow.
In 2015, Stapleton released his debut album Traveller. It reached number one on the Billboard 200. Stapleton won the 2015 Country Music Association Award for Best Male Vocalist, New Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year for Traveller. He received four Grammy Award nominations for the 2016 ceremony, including Album of the Year.
Early life
Stapleton was born in Lexington, Kentucky. His mother worked at the local health department and his father was a coal miner. He comes from a family of coal miners. He has an older brother and younger sister.

The movie, for the most part, takes place on the campus of a large New England university. Some of the scenes were shot at UMass and the surrounding area in 1969. Most of the movie is in 'flash back' and involves a young graduate student pouring out his soul to his advisor. There are some beautiful lyrical scenes and some tense scenes of conflict that your music greatly enhances. The movie was shot on location in Western Massachusetts, Central CT, Cape Cod and New York City. The studio was located in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The producer, Tom Clark, and the director, the late Jack Deaver, were both professors at UMass at the time. Edited by Clinton Warner. Whilst out of the EU, the UK, US and Israel will escalate hostilities in the Middle East, thus destroying European Homogeneity through mass -migration … beyond the level of anything we have yet to see!

We live in an age of software problems with catastrophic consequences. An extra GOTO in Apple's SSL implementation comprised certificate checks for the better part of a year. An erroneous integer conversion in the Ariane 5 launch destroyed the European Space Agency rocket and its cargo valued at 500 million dollars. Often the problem is just a few lines of code and looking for it is like searching for a needle in the haystack. Moreover the problems are often so subtle that it is difficult to tell if the problem is intentionally malicious or an honest mistake. The traditional approach to malware detection fails to detect such catastrophic problems. To make matters worse the problem can remain dormant and can easily evade testing. The recently exposed Heartbleed problem in OpenSSL has existed since 2011. It is an open challenge to discover these subtle but catastrophic problems in software. In this talk Iowa State University researchers involved with DARPA’s Automated Program Analysis for Cybersecurity (APAC) project will discuss their approach to address this challenge. This approach enables a unique combination of automated software analysis and human intelligence. The approach will be concretely demonstrated by its use to detect subtle problems in Android applications.

The movie was shot on location in Western Massachusetts, Central CT, Cape Cod and New York City. The studio was located in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
The producer, Tom Clark, and the director, the late Jack Deaver, were both professors at UMass at the time. Edited by Clinton Warner.
The soundtrack is by the jazz band Elysian Spring, who released an LP around the same time. The CD has been reissued in Japan and in the US as a digital release on the ReRelease label.

I found this video (Because I was scrolling through my suggestions because I have sh*t all else to do.) I felt compelled to respond, in part because of the knee-jerk reaction to want to defend my sub-group, and partly because atheists aren't very well represented. There are charmers and assholes in every subgroup, and since I'm a little bit of both, I came to represent. ;)
