Behold, my first video in a long time that doesn't involve Strawberry Shortcake (even though it's kind of like Strawberry Shortcake...)
Responsibility, perseverance, and ingenuity are virtues that serve a young gingerbread boy well along a journey of self-discovery. Based on the Candy Land board game, this 55-minute animated adventure begins with a young gingerbread boy named Jib setting off toward the Candy Castle with an offering of special gingerbread icing to present to the King for the "Sweet Celebration" ceremony. At the Castle, King Kandy appoints his rather irresponsible daughter Princess Lolly to appear at the ceremony, stressing that she must bring her royal scepter to ensure the continued blossoming of everything sweet in Candy Land. Jib hurries along the colorful path to the Kingdom, meeting new friends Mr. Mint and Jolly along the way, while the sneaky Licorice Bites steal Princess Lolly's scepter to further Lord Licorice's evil plan to turn Candy Land into Licorice Land. A chance meeting between Jib and Princess Lolly leads the two to join forces against Lord Licorice, but can they possibly recover the scepter and make it to the Candy Castle in time for the celebration? Five original songs add musical fun to a fanciful adventure that offers a cute story to accompany a whole new generation's journey to Candy Land.

Candy Land
Candy Land (also Candyland) is a simple racing board game. The game requires no reading and minimal counting skills, making it suitable for young children.
Due to the design of the game, there is no strategy involved—players are never required to make choices, just follow directions. The winner is predetermined by the shuffle of the cards.
Gameplay
The race is woven around a storyline about finding King Kandy, the lost king of Candy Land. The board consists of a winding, linear track made of 134 spaces, most red, green, blue, yellow, orange or purple. The remaining pink spaces are named locations such as Candy Cane Forest and Gum Drop Mountain, or characters such as Queen Frostine and Gramma Nutt.
Players take turns removing the top card from a stack, most of which show one of six colors, and then moving their marker ahead to the next space of that color. Some cards have two marks of a color, in which case the player moves the marker ahead to the second-next space of that color. The deck has one card for each named location, and drawing such a card moves a player directly to that board location. This move can be either forward or backward in the classic game; backward moves can be ignored for younger players in the 2004 version of the game.

Candy
Candy, also called sweets or lollies, is a confection that features sugar as a principal ingredient. The category, called sugar confectionery, encompasses any sweet confection, including chocolate, chewing gum, and sugar candy. Vegetables, fruit, or nuts which have been glazed and coated with sugar are said to be candied.
Physically, candy is characterized by the use of a significant amount of sugar or sugar substitutes. Unlike a cake or loaf of bread that would be shared among many people, candies are usually made in smaller pieces. However, the definition of candy also depends upon how people treat the food. Unlike sweet pastries served for a dessert course at the end of a meal, candies are normally eaten casually, often with the fingers, as a snack between meals. Each culture has its own ideas of what constitutes candy rather than dessert. The same food may be a candy in one culture and a dessert in another.

Behold, my first video in a long time that doesn't involve Strawberry Shortcake (even though it's kind of like Strawberry Shortcake...)
Responsibility, perseverance, and ingenuity are virtues that serve a young gingerbread boy well along a journey of self-discovery. Based on the Candy Land board game, this 55-minute animated adventure begins with a young gingerbread boy named Jib setting off toward the Candy Castle with an offering of special gingerbread icing to present to the King for the "Sweet Celebration" ceremony. At the Castle, King Kandy appoints his rather irresponsible daughter Princess Lolly to appear at the ceremony, stressing that she must bring her royal scepter to ensure the continued blossoming of everything sweet in Candy Land. Jib hurries along the colorful path to the Kingdom, meeting new friends Mr. Mint and Jolly along the way, while the sneaky Licorice Bites steal Princess Lolly's scepter to further Lord Licorice's evil plan to turn Candy Land into Licorice Land. A chance meeting between Jib and Princess Lolly leads the two to join forces against Lord Licorice, but can they possibly recover the scepter and make it to the Candy Castle in time for the celebration? Five original songs add musical fun to a fanciful adventure that offers a cute story to accompany a whole new generation's journey to Candy Land.
