Dhar
Dhār (Hindi: धार) is located in the Malwa region of western Madhya Pradesh state in central India, and was a Maratha Princely state ruled by the Puars (or Pawars), entitled to 15 Gun Salutes. It is the administrative headquarters of Dhar District. The town is located 33 miles (53 km) west of Mhow, 559 m (1,834 ft) above sea level. It is picturesquely situated among lakes and trees surrounded by barren hills, and possesses, besides its old ramparts, many interesting buildings, some of them containing records of cultural, historical and national importance.
Political Representation and Royal Legacy
Bhartiya Janata Party politician Neena Vikram Verma serves as a Member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly for Dhar Vidhan Sabha Constituency.
Maharaja Shrimant Hemendra Singh Rao Pawar is present titular head of the Kshatriya Maratha-Rajput Pawar(Puar/Parmar) dynasty of Dhar State.
Historic Places and Monuments
The most ancient parts of Dhār visible are the massive earthen ramparts which are best preserved on the western and southern sides of the town. These were probably built beginning in the ninth century and show that the city was circular in plan and surrounded by a series of tanks and moats. The layout is similar to the circular city of Warangal in the Deccan. The circular ramparts of Dhār, unique in north India and an important legacy of the Paramāras, is being destroyed by brick-makers and others using the material for construction purposes. On the north-east side of the town, the rampart and moat have disappeared beneath modern homes and other buildings.

Pankaj Udhas
Pankaj Udhas is a ghazal singer, hailing from Gujarat in India. He started his career with a release of a ghazal album titled Aahat in 1980 and subsequently recorded many hits like Mukarar in 1981, Tarrannum in 1982, Mehfil in 1983, Pankaj Udhas Live at Royal Albert Hall in 1984, Nayaab in 1985 and Aafreen in 1986. After his success as a ghazal singer, he was invited to appear and sing for a film by Mahesh Bhatt, Naam. Udhas rose to further fame for singing in the 1986 film Naam, in which his song "Chitthi Aayee Hai" became an instant hit. He did playback singing for many Hindi films after that. Albums and live concerts around the globe brought him fame as a singer. In 2006, Pankaj Udhas was awarded the coveted Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award.
His brothers Manhar Udhas and Nirmal Udhas are also singers.
Early life
Pankaj Udhas was born in Jetpur in Gujarat to a Gujarati family and is the youngest of the three brothers. He hails from Charakhdi, a small village near Rajkot in Gujarat. His parents are Keshubhai Udhas and Jituben Udhas. His eldest brother Manhar Udhas achieved some success as a Hindi playback singer in Bollywood films. His second elder brother Nirmal Udhas is also a well-known Ghazal Singer and was the first of the three brothers to start singing in the family. He had studied in Sir BPTI Bhavanagar. His family moved to Mumbai and Pankaj attended St. Xavier's College in Mumbai.

At that time, Yemen was divided into two different countries : North Yemen (Sanaa) and South Yemen (Aden).. I downloaded a new release (same footages but with new soundtrack) in which the music has been changed for Yemeni music.

Located 40 km from Dhar and 98 km from Indore, Mandu is situated at an altitude of 634 m. It extends for 13 km (8 miles) along the crest of the Vindhya Range. Mandu gained eminence only near the end of the 10th century when the Paramaras formed an independent kingdom here. Mandu is also famous for its special kind of tamarind known as Mandu ki Imli. The fruit looks like a papaya; it is a fruit of boabab tree. Mandu is the city of love and delight. After all, one of its most famous legends is the love story of Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati. A movie made with a small super 8 camera more than 41 years ago. It was in North Yemen. Coming from Djibouti, we landed in Taiz, and we travelled by car from Taiz to Sanaa, via Jibla. Scenes of the countryside are very interesting.
At that time, Yemen was divided into two different countries : North Yemen (Sanaa) and South Yemen (Aden)..
I downloaded a new release (same footages but with new soundtrack) in which the music has been changed for Yemeni music.

Its major attraction is a waterfall known as Dhuandhar, which looks like smoke coming out of the river and therefore it got its name as “Dhuan(smoke)-dhar(flow of water)”. Another major attraction is ‘Bandar Kodini’, when one travels in between the marble rocks in a boat, the mountains at both the sides at one point come so close that the monkeys are able to jump across them, hence the name “Bandar Kodini”. In a moonlit night, the travel between the marble rock mountains in a boat on the river Narmada is one of the popular tourist attractions here.
