Michael Bradley "Mike" Enzi (born February 1, 1944) is an American politician who is the senior United States Senator from Wyoming, serving since 1997. He is a member of the Republican Party.
Raised in Thermopolis, Wyoming, Enzi attended George Washington University and the University of Denver. He expanded his father's shoe store business in Gillette before being elected mayor of Gillette in 1974. In the late 1970s he worked in the United States Department of the Interior. He served as a state legislator in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1987 to 1991 and the Wyoming Senate from 1991 to 1997. During the 1980s and 1990s he worked as an accountant and executive director in the energy industry.
Enzi won a tight primary for election to the U.S. Senate in 1996 and was re-elected by large margins in 2002 and 2008. Since his election, he has consistently been ranked as one of the most conservative members of the Senate. He is the Chairman of the Senate Budget Committee. He was a member of the 2009 Gang of Six which attempted to negotiate health care reform.
Mike is an abbreviation or shorthand for Michael.
The name Mike may refer to:
The United States Senate is a legislative chamber in the bicameral legislature of the United States, and together with the House of Representatives makes up the U.S. Congress.
First convened in 1789, the composition and powers of the Senate are established in Article One of the U.S. Constitution. Each state is represented by two senators, regardless of population, who serve staggered six-year terms. The Senate chamber is located in the north wing of the Capitol, in Washington, D.C. The House of Representatives convenes in the south wing of the same building.
The Senate has several exclusive powers not granted to the House, including consenting to treaties as a precondition to their ratification and consenting to or confirming appointments of Cabinet secretaries, federal judges, other federal executive officials, military officers, regulatory officials, ambassadors, and other federal uniformed officers, as well as trial of federal officials impeached by the House. The Senate is widely considered both a more deliberative and more prestigious body than the House of Representatives, due to its longer terms, smaller size, and statewide constituencies, which historically led to a more collegial and less partisan atmosphere. The Senate is sometimes called the "world's greatest deliberative body", sometimes pejoratively.

Since 1965, millions of people have come to this country from Latin America and the Caribbean. Now accounting for more than 16 percent of the population, His¬panics have emerged as a decisive voting bloc that overwhelmingly skews liberal as they influence pivotal electoral races. But it doesn’t have to be that way forever. In A Race for the Future, Mike Gonzalez describes what the term Hispanic means, correcting the erroneous assumption that it is a homogenous group and presenting a look at the challenges each nationality – Mexican, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and many others – faces in America.
Senate Budget Committee Chairman Mike Enzi’s (R-WY) called for bipartisan solutions to fix America’s broken budget process today during a forum focused on budget process reform. Earlier this year, Chairman Enzi proposed implementing new rules to make it easier for Congress to consider and pass its annual budget and appropriations measures, and update federal budget concepts that determine how the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) estimate the cost of legislation so lawmakers can fully understand the economic effects of any new laws. Enzi said that America’s mammoth debt is expected to skyrocket to more than $28 trillion in the next decade.

I left my gal in Kansas City
Left the crying in the rain
I told her that I made my mind up
I didn?t want to see her again
What makes the night so lonely
What makes the night so long
why I guess its just because I am a man
That?s done a good women wrong
I can?t eat
I can?t sleep
All I can do is cry
All I can do is cry
I told her that she was a driver
Told her that she played around
But I was just a lying man
Tryin? to hide the tracks she had found
Gonna catch my self a flier
One was Kansas City bound
I'm goin' looking for my baby
Good Lord, I hope she?s still around
I can?t eat
I can?t sleep
All I can do is cry
All I can do is cry
I can?t eat
I can?t sleep
All I can do is cry
