Plot: The Wakefield Variation is an international independent short film loosely inspired by Nathaniel Hawthorne's 'Wakefield'. Using non-linear narration, the story is about this guy, Wakefield, who decided to vanish into thin air: he didn't leave any trace behind, and keeps spying on his former girlfriend using bugs and hidden cameras, in a sort of twisted social experiment. The short film spawned an upcoming web-series by the same title.
