RUGBY WORLD CUP 2019
The 2019 Rugby World Cup will be held in Japan from September 20 to November 2.
Hosted once every four years, the Rugby World Cup is rugby’s centrepiece event. It is the big stage that rugby players from all over the world dream of reaching. Held over the course of seven weeks, it is the 3rd largest sports event in the world after the summer olympics and the Football World Cup.
Twenty teams will participate for the right to be crowned World Champions. A total of forty-eight matches will be played out accordingly:
1 Pool stages: 4 pools of 5 teams
2 Finals: Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, Bronze Final, Final
The opening match will be played on 20 September, 2019, at Tokyo Stadium, with the Final taking place on 2 November at Yokohama Stadium, Kanagawa. All matches will be played across 12 venues across Japan.
