WEST HAM 1-0 CHELSEA - ROB DRAPER AT THE LONDON STADIUM: Sometimes you need a marquee performance to turn around a season and even a club. Something that stamps both your personality and authority on a place. Maybe, just maybe, David Moyes got something like that from his West Ham side with his all-important first victory at the club in his fifth game. Certainly the patrons of the London Stadium haven’t seen anything this good this season, a League Cup win Tottenham notwithstanding. They roared their delight at the end and sang that song as heartily as has been heard in these parts for some time. Victory over Chelsea is almost as good as it gets.
LIVE PREMIER LEAGUE: Tottenham look to halt slide in Stoke showdown... plus all the rest of the action on a busy day in the top flight
The 16th round of Premier League fixtures on Saturday afternoon is headlined by Tottenham who entertain Stoke City at Wembley. Spurs are in search of their first win in five league games - and know they can't afford to drop points if they are to stay in the title race. You can follow all the action from that clash and the other 3pm games with Sportsmail's JAMES DUTTON.
Inside Tottenham's NFL deal: American football chiefs were stunned by Daniel Levy's bold plans... but his vision helped swing historic deal at his new £1bn stadium
When Daniel Levy watches 60,000 NFL fans stream into his shiny new stadium next year as the pitch transforms before their eyes, he can reflect on all the hard work it took to reach that very moment. Tottenham struck a 10-year deal with the NFL back in July 2015 to host at least two games per season at their new White Hart Lane stadium, which will be completed in time for the next Premier League campaign.
Hart suffers bitter blow as Moyes DROPS England's No 1 for Chelsea clash
England goalkeeper Joe Hart has been dropped for West Ham's Premier League clash with Chelsea. Hammers manager David Moyes has opted to stick with Spanish keeper Adrian, who impressed when Hart was ineligible to face his parent club Manchester City last weekend. Hart was named among the substitutes having paid the price for his unconvincing form this season.
Mourinho questions whether Guardiola should be allowed to wear yellow ribbon supporting jailed Catalan politicians
Jose Mourinho has questioned whether his old rival Pep Guardiola should be allowed to wear a yellow ribbon on the touchline in support of the Catalan politicians jailed last month over the region’s fight for independence. It comes ahead of Mourinho's Manchester United taking on Guardiola's City in a top of the table Premier League clash on Sunday.
EXCLUSIVE: 'Klopp's video nasty saved our season' - Wijnaldum on how watching horror show at Spurs sorted out Liverpool
INTERVIEW BY IAN LADYMAN: Georginio Wijnaldum is the footballer who doesn’t like watching football. He will not watch next summer’s World Cup now Holland are not in it and he has not even watched a re-run of the seven goals Liverpool buried past Spartak Moscow on Wednesday night. I find it strange seeing myself on television,’ he said with a sheepish smile. I don’t like it. I don’t really watch football much.’ Sometimes, though, the Liverpool midfielder has no choice. Modern football is built around video analysis. And it is the uncomfortable session in the dark of the Melwood TV room after October’s 4-1 drubbing at Tottenham that Wijnaldum feels may have turned around Liverpool’s season.
Is he a southpaw? Mayweather shows his love of tigers again as he poses with enormous white cat on Moscow visit
Floyd Mayweather has taken his love affair with tigers to new heights after he was pictured alongside a giant cat during a trip to Russian capital Moscow. The undefeated retired boxer is currently enjoying a trip away following his 10th-round knockout win over Conor McGregor in one of the biggest boxing spectacles in history in August. Mayweather can be seen standing alongside the intimidating white striped tiger, who is laying across a whole table, with his hand on its back.

It has been a pretty special week for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid star clinched his fifth Ballon d'Or title on Thursday night but things could get even better on Saturday. I'll always be a blue but it was lovely to wear Best's United shirt: Blue-eyed Barnes on playing for both sides of Manchester derby
EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW BY CHRIS WHEELER: The terraced house on Aycliffe Avenue in Chorlton would have looked no different from any other in the street were it not for George Best's distinctive Lotus parked outside. Manchester United's new golden boy was living in digs with his landlady Mrs Fullaway, and the local schoolboys thought nothing about knocking on his door. One of them was Peter Barnes. 'We'd ask if he was coming out,' recalls Barnes. 'George would say, "Hi lads, give me five minutes, I'm just having my tea". Then he'd play cricket with us in the street. Brilliant.'

Lingard urges United to 'make Manchester red' as he poses with Rashford in matching £1,500 jackets ahead of derby
Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford are usually inseparable on and off the pitch but they have now taken their bromance to a new level. The Manchester United duo wore matching jackets on Thursday as they laughed and joked on social media. Lingard took to Instagram to state his fury at his younger team-mate Rashford copying his stylish Givenchy jacket, which is priced in the region of £1,500.
Andrei Kanchelskis interview: On why Mourinho has only one or two good players, rating Pep above Jose... and the rows with Fergie that led him to leaving
INTERVIEW BY IAN HERBERT: Andrei Kanchelskis’s last Manchester experience is the one he considers the most extraordinary and it reveals so much about why the red half of the city was so dominant for so long. Six years after his departure from Old Trafford sent him on a nomadic journey through the game, he pitched up in 2001 on loan at Joe Royle’s Manchester City, then marooned near the foot of a Premier League which Manchester United were about to win. And in their wisdom, the club decided a winter trip to Marbella would be a bright idea. Marbella!’ Kanchelskis says, still not sure whether to laugh or cry about it. Marbella! Bottom of the league and we go to Marbella! We needed more concentration, more training, more tactics. Mamma mia! That was very bad. Marbella! That was City at that time.’
PETER CROUCH COLUMN: Never forget derbies are the days legends can be made... things couldn't have gone better the first time I played for Liverpool against Everton
How can I best explain the feeling of playing in a derby? Given the huge clashes in Merseyside and Manchester this weekend, it’s got me thinking about the battles I’ve been involved in. The Premier League is becoming increasingly cosmopolitan and globally focused but these are the games that define English football. We should never lose sight of that fact. These occasions are incomparable; they are the ones you dream of playing in when you are starting out.
Bristol City's goal GIFs get a Christmas twist as Paterson and Flint strike in win at Sheffield United
RICHARD GIBSON AT BRAMALL LANE: Aden Flint scored a late winner as Bristol City edged Sheffield United 2-1 at Bramall Lane in the Championship on Friday night. Jamie Paterson opened the scoring for Bristol City just three minutes before half-time as he fired a rasping shot from outside the box into the far corner, leaving Simon Moore helpless in the Blades' goal. Leon Clarke replied instantly after half-time for the hosts as he burst into the box, shifted the ball to his right foot and fizzed a shot into the far corner to claim his 14th goal of the season.
'I need £30m to live': Snarling DeGale prices up the cost of funding his luxury lifestyle... But he won't cash in by starring on Strictly
James DeGale calculates he will need to earn another £30million if his life after boxing is to be lived as luxuriously as it is today. Even so, he refuses to top up his current income by accepting offers to follow fellow prize-fighters Amir Khan into the I'm A Celebrity jungle and Joe Calzaghe into the Strictly ballroom. 'I've turned down both of those,' says the world super-middleweight champion. 'I've said no to going into the Big Brother house, too.'
Chelsea pin rising star Musonda down to new contract until 2022 to ward off interest from Arsenal
Chelsea have secured the services of highly rated youngster Charley Musonda after committing the attacking midfielder to a new five-year deal. Musonda has put pen to paper on a contract extension which will see him play his football at Stamford Bridge until at least 2022. The Blues announced the news of Musonda's new deal on Friday, with the move set to put to bed any lingering interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
Big chill for the red-hot derby: Klopp feels the cold as he puts Liverpool stars through paces ahead of clash with Everton
Jurgen Klopp watched on as Liverpool put in their final stages of their Merseyside derby preparation on Friday, with the air of a man determined to triumph. The Reds host Everton at Anfield on Sunday, in what is the first meeting of the two sides this season. Under Klopp Liverpool are unbeaten in their last six Premier League games, in what has been a perfect response to their demolition by Tottenham in October.

Newcastle owner Ashley and prospective buyer Staveley pictured leaving London curry house after £300m takeover talks
It might be thought that two of Britain's wealthiest people, meeting to discuss the multi-million pound purchase of a Premier League football club over dinner, would choose an exclusive and expensive restaurant in Soho or Mayfair. However, Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley and prospective buyer Amanda Staveley instead discussed a deal over a curry which could have cost as little as £6.45. The pair were pictured leaving Paradise Indian restaurant in Hampstead, north west London, on Wednesday night, having talked over Staveley's £300m bid for Ashley's United.Â
Whoops! Sheffield United misspell club's OWN NAME on official calendar
A humiliating typo led to Sheffield United misspelling the club's name on their official 2018 calendar. The proofreading oversight saw the calendar hit the shops with 'SHEFIELD UNITED FC' written in large font on the back.

JONNY BAIRSTOW: Yes I’ve been sledged, but I’ve not lost any friends
JONNY BAIRSTOW: Well, it’s been an interesting couple of weeks. Firstly, let’s clear up the business I became caught up in at the end of the first Test. A headbutt, to me, is something that has malicious intent. I think that’s the dictionary definition. And that’s certainly not what happened between me and Cameron Bancroft when we met at the very start of the tour. The reality is that it was nothing. Our security were there and happy nothing happened. Sorry, if I had headbutted someone I think they would have known all about it and damage would have been done. How can I describe it? Boys being boys, I guess. But there was minimal contact, I can tell you that.

Stuttgart lost at home for the first time in 2017 as Bayer Leverkusen maintained their record of scoring in every Bundesliga game this season with a 2-0 victory. From champagne with Sven to the wacky ways of Shinawatra... the incredible story of Man City in 2007 - a year that changed it all
IAN LADYMAN - FOOTBALL EDITOR: Eriksson picked up the tab when an excitable lady from ticketing ordered a bottle of Cristal champagne for her birthday. It set the Swede back £600. But this was Manchester City 2007 and this was the mood. After years on the periphery of English football, an £80million takeover by former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra had placed City front and centre.
