Uncharted

Uncharted is an action-adventure third-person shooter platform video game series developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation consoles. The series follows treasure hunter Nathan "Nate" Drake, senior treasure hunter and mentor Victor "Sully" Sullivan, journalist Elena Fisher, and numerous secondary companions whom they will come to meet and recruit as they travel around the world to uncover various historical mysteries.

The series includes Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, its sequels Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, as well as the prequel Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which was released for Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld system, as was the card game spin-off Uncharted: Fight for Fortune. The second game in the Uncharted series: Among Thieves is the highest rated title of the series so far, currently standing as the third highest rated PlayStation 3 title on Metacritic, and won numerous Game of the Year awards. The fourth and final installment of the series, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, will be released on the PlayStation 4 on April 26, 2016. The series trilogy has sold over 21 million copies worldwide as of June 2015.

Lost Legacy

Lost Legacy (1941) is a novella by science fiction writer Robert A. Heinlein. Originally published in the November, 1941 issue of Super Science Stories, it was collected in the book Assignment in Eternity (1953).

The novella is an exploration of the possibilities that humans, with the proper training, have the potential to make use of a wide range of telepathic and telekinetic abilities. It is based on the presumption that most, if not all, humans have innate psychic abilities, but simply don't know it and therefore do not make use of them. This ignorance is encouraged by a mysterious and powerful cabal which benefits from keeping people unaware of their abilities.

Plot summary

No date is given for the events, but they are in a near future America where Ambrose Bierce (born 1842) is said to be over 100 years old. Europe and Asia have suffered a "collapse" and the only significant technological advances mentioned are Picturephones and a "pocketphone". The story relates the rediscovery of psychic powers by a trio from a California university (a woman student, and two male friends, an MD/instructor at the medical college and a Psychology professor), and the attempts of a corrupt elite to silence them.

GameWeek Magazine

GameWeek Magazine was a weekly video game magazine that was made by Cyberactive Media Group, Inc., a publishing company which specialized in business-to-business products serving the computer and video game industry. GameWeek was the leading trade publication of its time, and to this day remains the last printed trade publication which served the North American market.

History

It was published initially under the name Video Game Advisor (VGA) beginning in 1995 and changed names twice, to GameWeek, as it is best known, and later to Interactive Entertainment. "Interactive entertainment" was a phrase that is attributed to the magazine, but became part of the industry's vernacular and was popularized by Hal Halpin, founder and publisher - representing the convergence of the console, online and computer games sectors.

GameWeek was a glossy tabloid-sized newspaper-style magazine which included interviews with the game industry’s leading personalities, feature stories on the latest trends and reviews and previews of products from a salability perspective (as opposed to enthusiast media, which covered games from their playability or fun-factor). A significant portion of the magazine’s advertising revenue came from game publisher ads promoting upcoming titles to the leading retail buyers – who comprised the bulk of the 63,000 subscribers.
