Time for something a little bit different, the 576bhp Vauxhall VXR8 GTS; the least expensive way to enter the 500bhp+ club. Starting out as the Holden GEN-F GTS in Australia, the car finds its way to the UK under the Vauxhall name.
Following my trip to Le Mans with Corvette, part of the GM group, I started talking to the team from Vauxhall who invited me along to give the VXR8 GTS a drive. Sitting in a category alongside the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 AMG, but priced at £20k less, it's certainly an interesting prospect and when you consider the price tag... well... it's nearly 600hp, has an amazing sounding V8, and it's under £60k!
I introduce the car, take it for a quick test drive and offer some early driving impressions, before showing you around in a little more detail.

The latest Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport may not be as fashionable as an SUV or as desirable as a BMW. But in objective terms it’s easily the equal of the majority of cars at this price point, trumping the Ford Mondeo for driver involvement and the Volkswagen Passat for practicality. Vauxhall (/ˈvɒks.ɔːl/) is a mixed commercial and residential district of central London in the London Borough of Lambeth. Vauxhall formed part of Surrey until 1889 when the County of London was created.
It has also given its name to the Vauxhall Parliamentary Constituency, which extends to include all of Stockwell and parts of Brixton and Clapham all to the south, and to the Vauxhall Motors car manufacturer, which originated in the area, and possibly also to the Russian word for a large railway station (see below).
Its economy was for more than a century until the late 20th century predominantly manual workers' homes and business premises such as works for the local railway, a former water supply works heavily contrasting with the mixed and frequently higher professional occupations of neighbouring districts, particularly Kennington and Westminster. Similar to neighbouring Battersea a riverside redevelopment conversion into residential property, three acres of parkland and an iconic government building have re-characterized its architecture and altered its economy to resemble adjoining districts, retaining affordable and social housing particularly south-west of its station close to the South Western Main Line on land which was once heavy industrial and overcrowded terraces. Since 1998, the categorical part of Vauxhall closest to its railway station has in planning policy been designated part of the Lambeth Borough's north borough town centre housing many types of office, leisure and retail buildings.

Opel Insignia
The Opel Insignia (from Latin insigne = the emblem/coat of arms) is a large family car engineered and produced by the German automaker Opel. Production of the Insignia began in 2008 as a replacement for the Vectra and Signum. The vehicle is sold under the Vauxhall marque in the United Kingdom, and known as the Buick Regal in China and North America. It was launched in Australia and New Zealand under the Holden marque in 2015.
In Chile, the vehicle was originally due to be marketed as the Chevrolet Vectra, but is now sold as the Opel Insignia. The Insignia made its debut in Australia in 2012, badged as an Opel. but was dropped a year later after the brand was withdrawn from the market. The Insignia is produced in Opel's plant in Rüsselsheim, Germany. Also at Ellesmere Port, England.
2003 Insignia Concept
The Opel Insignia Concept is a full-size luxury car (F-segment in Europe) presented by the German automaker Opel at the 2003 Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany. The car has a V8 engine from the Corvette with 344 PS.

James Batchelor
James William Frank Batchelor (1890–1951) was an English professional association football player of the 1920s. Born in Hoo St Werburgh, he joined Gillingham from Chatham Town in 1922 and went on to make three appearances for the club in The Football League. He left to join Brentford in 1923.

Time for something a little bit different, the 576bhp Vauxhall VXR8 GTS; the least expensive way to enter the 500bhp+ club. Starting out as the Holden GEN-F GTS in Australia, the car finds its way to the UK under the Vauxhall name. Following my trip to Le Mans with Corvette, part of the GM group, I started talking to the team from Vauxhall who invited me along to give the VXR8 GTS a drive. Sitting in a category alongside the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 AMG, but priced at £20k less, it's certainly an interesting prospect and when you consider the price tag... well... it's nearly 600hp, has an amazing sounding V8, and it's under £60k! Vauxhall lent us a Wi-Fi enabled car for the day and we took a road trip to drop Marc to Bath, from our London office, to test how good the WiFi is on a long journey. The Wi-Fi allows up to 7 devices connected to it at anyone time - we try a speed test, streaming, downloading and finally day to day techradar website work from the car itself.

Time for something a little bit different, the 576bhp Vauxhall VXR8 GTS; the least expensive way to enter the 500bhp+ club. Starting out as the Holden GEN-F GTS in Australia, the car finds its way to the UK under the Vauxhall name. Following my trip to Le Mans with Corvette, part of the GM group, I started talking to the team from Vauxhall who invited me along to give the VXR8 GTS a drive. Sitting in a category alongside the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 AMG, but priced at £20k less, it's certainly an interesting prospect and when you consider the price tag... well... it's nearly 600hp, has an amazing sounding V8, and it's under £60k! Time for something a little bit different, the 576bhp Vauxhall VXR8 GTS; the least expensive way to enter the 500bhp+ club. Starting out as the Holden GEN-F GTS in Australia, the car finds its way to the UK under the Vauxhall name.
Following my trip to Le Mans with Corvette, part of the GM group, I started talking to the team from Vauxhall who invited me along to give the VXR8 GTS a drive. Sitting in a category alongside the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 AMG, but priced at £20k less, it's certainly an interesting prospect and when you consider the price tag... well... it's nearly 600hp, has an amazing sounding V8, and it's under £60k!
I introduce the car, take it for a quick test drive and offer some early driving impressions, before showing you around in a little more detail.

Vauxhall VXR8 GTS - Test Drive, In-Depth Tour and Impressions
Time for something a little bit different, the 576bhp Vauxhall VXR8 GTS; the least expensive way to enter the 500bhp+ club. Starting out as the Holden GEN-F GTS in Australia, the car finds its way to the UK under the Vauxhall name. Following my trip to Le Mans with Corvette, part of the GM group, I started talking to the team from Vauxhall who invited me along to give the VXR8 GTS a drive. Sitting in a category alongside the BMW M5 or Mercedes E63 AMG, but priced at £20k less, it's certainly an interesting prospect and when you consider the price tag... well... it's nearly 600hp, has an amazing sounding V8, and it's under £60k! Vauxhall Corsa front end theft - Kelham Island Sheffield
CCTV footage of Theft of parts from 2015 Vauxhall Corsa limited edition. The car was parked on Dun Fields opposite the ship inn at Kelham island, Sheffield. The theft took place between 23:10 & 23:45 Sunday 16th October. The guy arrives in a black Audi A3, can anyone with CCTV in the area check to see if you can spot the registration. At 17 minutes 14 seconds he removes his hood as a taxi approaches. The bonnet, front bumper and headlights were stolen, the drivers side widow was also smashed.

CCTV footage of Theft of parts from 2015 Vauxhall Corsa limited edition. The car was parked on Dun Fields opposite the ship inn at Kelham island, Sheffield. The theft took place between 23:10 & 23:45 Sunday 16th October. The guy arrives in a black Audi A3, can anyone with CCTV in the area check to see if you can spot the registration. At 17 minutes 14 seconds he removes his hood as a taxi approaches. The bonnet, front bumper and headlights were stolen, the drivers side widow was also smashed.
