Tayo the Little Bus

Tayo the Little Bus (Hangul: 꼬마버스 타요,; RR: Kko-ma-beo-seu Ta-yo) is a South Korean computer-animated television series created by Iconix Entertainment and Educational Broadcasting System of Seoul. The show was produced with the help of Seoul mayor Oh Se-hoon's administration. It began airing in South Korea on EBS in 2001, and an English-dubbed version of the series began airing on Disney Junior (Asia) in 2002. The latter also began airing on Disney Channel (Asia) and Disney Junior (Australia and New Zealand) in 2005. In the United States and Canada, Hulu is the exclusive distributor of the series. In 2013, a Tagalog-Dubbed version of the series was broadcast in the Philippines on Yey!.

The series is available in Korean, English and Spanish on the production company's Tayo YouTube channel.

Characters

Main characters

The series features four main characters. Tayo (Bus 120, blue) is a playful and sometimes mischievous. Rogi (Bus 1000, green) is his brother and best friend, although the two often get into fights with each other. Funny and mischievous himself, Rogi also has an interest in detective work, as can be seen in "Rogi the Detective!" and "Prank Call Madness". Both friends resemble a Hyundai Super Aero City. Lani (Bus 02, yellow) is youngest of the four. She is cheerful and kind. Possessing little tolerance for arguments, she often acts as a mediator between Tayo and Rogi. The main cast is rounded out by Gani (Bus 1339, red), who is hardworking, warm-hearted, and shy. He is the oldest of the four.

Sing-along

Sing-along, also called community singing or group singing, is an event of singing together at gatherings or parties, less formally than choir singing. One can use a songbook. Common genres are folk songs, patriotic songs, hymns and drinking songs. Children across the world usually sing nursery rhymes together. Sing-along can be based on unison singing, or on singing in harmony (different parts).

Among animals

Group vocalizing is known from several animal species. For example, a lion pride and a pack of wolves are known to vocalize together (supposedly to defend their territory), although scholars do not characterize their vocalizations as "singing". Gibbons sing in family groups (couples sing together, sometimes with their offspring)

Singing in groups is one of the universal features of human musical cultures, and group singing has been often suggested as the primary form of the early human musical activity. It has been suggested that human group singing was primarily promoting the cohesiveness within human groups, and was possibly used to defend human groups from predators and competitors

YouTube

YouTube is a video-sharing website headquartered in San Bruno, California, United States. The service was created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005. In November 2006, it was bought by Google for US$1.65 billion. YouTube now operates as one of Google's subsidiaries. The site allows users to upload, view, rate, share and comment on videos, and it makes use of WebM, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, and Adobe Flash Video technology to display a wide variety of user-generated and corporate media video. Available content includes video clips, TV clips, music videos, movie trailers and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos.

Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, but media corporations including CBS, the BBC, Vevo, Hulu, and other organizations offer some of their material via YouTube, as part of the YouTube partnership program. Unregistered users can watch videos, and registered users can upload videos to their channels. Videos considered to contain potentially offensive content are available only to registered users affirming themselves to be at least 18 years old.

Little

Little is a surname in the English language. The name is ultimately derived from the Middle English littel, and the Old English lȳtel, which mean "little". Bus

A bus (/ˈbʌs/; plural "buses", /ˈbʌsᵻz/, archaically also omnibus, multibus, motorbus, or autobus) is a road vehicle designed to carry many passengers. Buses can have a capacity as high as 300 passengers. The most common type of bus is the single-decker rigid bus, with larger loads carried by double-decker and articulated buses, and smaller loads carried by midibuses and minibuses; coaches are used for longer-distance services. Many types of buses, such as city transit buses and inter-city coaches, charge a fare. Other types, such as elementary or secondary school buses or shuttle buses within a post-secondary education campus do not charge a fare. In many jurisdictions, bus drivers require a special licence above and beyond a regular driver's licence.

Buses may be used for scheduled bus transport, scheduled coach transport, school transport, private hire, or tourism; promotional buses may be used for political campaigns and others are privately operated for a wide range of purposes, including rock and pop band tour vehicles.
