Buzz Aldrin (born Edwin Eugene Aldrin, Jr., January 20, 1930) is an American engineer and former astronaut, and the second person to walk on the Moon. He was the Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 11, the first manned lunar landing in history. He set foot on the Moon at 03:15:16 on July 21, 1969 (UTC), following mission commander Neil Armstrong. He is a former U.S. Air Force officer and a Command Pilot.
Aldrin was born January 20, 1930, in Mountainside Hospital, which straddles both Glen Ridge and Montclair, in Essex County, New Jersey. His birth certificate lists Glen Ridge as his birthplace. His parents were Edwin Eugene Aldrin Sr. (1896–1974), a career military man, and Marion (Moon) Gaddys (1903–1968), who lived in Montclair. He is of Scottish, Swedish, and German ancestry. Aldrin was a Boy Scout and earned the rank of Tenderfoot Scout. After graduating from Montclair High School in 1947, Aldrin turned down a full scholarship offer from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (which he would later attend for graduate school), and went to the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. The nickname "Buzz" originated in childhood: the younger of his two elder sisters mispronounced "brother" as "buzzer", and this was shortened to Buzz. Aldrin made it his legal first name in 1988.
Buzz may refer to:
Apollo 11 was the first spaceflight that landed humans on the Moon. Americans Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on July 20, 1969, at 20:18 UTC (46 years ago). Armstrong became the first to step onto the lunar surface six hours later on July 21 at 02:56 UTC. Armstrong spent about two and a half hours outside the spacecraft, and together with Aldrin collected 47.5 pounds (21.5 kg) of lunar material for return to Earth. The third member of the mission, Michael Collins, piloted the command spacecraft alone in lunar orbit until Armstrong and Aldrin returned to it just under a day later for the trip back to Earth.
Launched by a Saturn V rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida, on July 16, Apollo 11 was the fifth manned mission of NASA's Apollo program. The Apollo spacecraft had three parts: a Command Module (CM) with a cabin for the three astronauts, and the only part that landed back on Earth; a Service Module (SM), which supported the Command Module with propulsion, electrical power, oxygen, and water; and a Lunar Module (LM) for landing on the Moon (which itself was composed of two parts). After being sent toward the Moon by the Saturn V's upper stage, the astronauts separated the spacecraft from it and traveled for three days until they entered into lunar orbit. Armstrong and Aldrin then moved into the Lunar Module and landed in the Sea of Tranquility. They stayed a total of about 21½ hours on the lunar surface. After lifting off in the upper part of the Lunar Module and rejoining Collins in the Command Module, they returned to Earth and landed in the Pacific Ocean on July 24.
Neil Alden Armstrong (August 5, 1930 – August 25, 2012) was an American astronaut and the first person to walk on the Moon. He was also an aerospace engineer, naval aviator, test pilot, and university professor. Before becoming an astronaut, Armstrong was an officer in the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. After the war, he earned his bachelor's degree at Purdue University and served as a test pilot at the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) High-Speed Flight Station, where he logged over 900 flights. He later completed graduate studies at the University of Southern California.
A participant in the U.S. Air Force's Man in Space Soonest and X-20 Dyna-Soar human spaceflight programs, Armstrong joined the NASA Astronaut Corps in 1962. He made his first space flight as command pilot of Gemini 8 in March 1966, becoming NASA's first civilian astronaut to fly in space. He performed the first docking of two spacecraft, with pilot David Scott. This mission was aborted after Armstrong used some of his reentry control fuel to prevent a dangerous spin caused by a stuck thruster, in the first in-flight space emergency.
TMZ is a celebrity news website that debuted on November 8, 2005. It was a collaboration between AOL and Telepictures Productions, a division of Warner Bros., until Time Warner divested AOL in 2009. The name TMZ stands for thirty-mile zone, the historic "studio zone" within a 30-mile (50 km) radius centered at the intersection of West Beverly Boulevard and North La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
TMZ's managing editor is Harvey Levin, a lawyer-turned-journalist who was previously a legal expert for the Los Angeles television station KCBS-TV. The site claims that it does not pay for stories or interviews; however, Levin has admitted that TMZ does "sometimes pay sources for leads on stories". Levin has stated that "everything is researched and vetted for accuracy." A companion television series, TMZ on TV, debuted on September 10, 2007.
Seven months prior to the official launch of TMZ, America Online (AOL) had hinted that it was planning to launch a Hollywood and entertainment-centric news site that would be produced in conjunction with Telepictures Productions and had shown interest in launching a website featuring a focus mainly on celebrities. At the time of the launch, AOL confirmed that the site would primarily feature and consist of Hollywood gossip, including interviews, photos and video footage of celebrities and information pertaining to industry news on movies, television shows, etc. The site was described as "an effort to further feed the current American obsession with celebrities". Mike Shields of MediaWeek.com wrote, "the site also boasts of an expansive collection of archived star photos and videos", allowing fans to "trace changing hairlines and waistlines of their favorites performers over the years".

Buzz Aldrin's body language is very interesting to watch. He has seen much in his life. He is dying to tell us what he knows. That while he was on the moon with Neil Armstrong they were not alone. They were being watched by extraterrestrials from a distance. This is why the original moon landing videos have completely disappeared. And also whey there was a two minutes of silence during the live broadcast from the moon. Buzz Aldrin will be 85 years old on January 20, 2015. Will he go to his grave with the greatest secret in history? In Buzz Aldrin, What Happened to You in All the Confusion?, viewers follow Mattias, a man who wished not to be followed, a man who, after a series of personal and professional disasters, finds himself lying on a rain-soaked road in the desolate, treeless Faroe Islands, population only a few thousand, a wad of money in his pocket and no memory of how he had come to be there. Mattias is a thirty-something gardener living in Stavanger, Norway, whose idol is Buzz Aldrin: the man who was willing to stand in Neil Armstrong’s shadow in order to work, diligently and humbly, for the success of the Apollo 11 mission. Based on the novel with the same title by the Norwegian author Johan Harstad, published in 2005.
Dr. Buzz Aldrin, one of the first two men to step on the moon in the first Lunar landing during the Apollo 11 mission, and Dr. Andrew Aldrin, Director of the Buzz Aldrin Space Institute, delivered a joint talk regarding “Humanity’s Future on Mars: Why the Red Planet is the next destination for Mankind” at the Aspen Abu Dhabi Ideas Forum. In this video Dr. Buzz Aldrin goes over his expectations regarding a conceivable timeline for permanent habitation in Mars, describing that if there is true commitment, this could be done in the next two decades. For humankind to succeed, he stresses that it cannot be done overnight, but that we should build up to that, and that we should start immediately, mimicking the example of countries such as UAE and its Mission to Mars Program. In March 2017, th...

Buzz Aldrin – the moonwalker gave opening keynote at the 2017 IAA me Convention. Subscribe to the channel so you get notified for the next me Convention here: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=MercedesBenzTV. Buzz Aldrin entered the stage with a moonwalk and a ›Get Your Ass to Mars‹ t-shirt from his own collection: Buzz Aldrin, the 87 year old American astronaut who became a living legend as the second man to ever set foot on the moon. A man who has seen #newrealities before anyone else, he also took the first selfie in space – with a camera attached to the Apollo 11 spacecraft, ›the most expensive selfie stick ever invented.‹ Aldrin's efforts today reach much farther than the moon: He wants to get humankind to Mars in the next two decades. ›Don't visit and go back. I need a bit of orbit now so beam me up
I have to cover vast distances oh, never to stop
I'll be ground into a poor old limping crawling thing
Can you take me up way up, deep deep beyond the stratosphere
Step inside our sleep efficient space machine
We got all the spacious things you'll ever need
Comfort guaranteed, just leave your earthliness be
Won't you dance with us, dance with us
Chorus:
You'll never have to touch the ground (when I'm walking)
Music makes a softer sound (space talking)
Everything is upside down (and it's lasting)
Still, we're connecting encounters (Buzz Aldrin)
Where did you go? (4x)
You're bound to get the swing of things now, but stay close to me
And get into a nice straight trajectory without gravity
In the end you'll find you're made of stellular stuff
Barely hanging on by a thin thread was never good enough
Find yourself united with the space machine
Nothing between you and celestial gear
Mission complete, you've left your earthliness be,
Won't you dance with us, d-d-dance with us
Chorus:
You'll never have to touch the ground (when I'm walking)
Music makes a softer sound (space talking)
Everything is upside down (and it's lasting)
Still, we're connecting encounters (Buzz Aldrin)
