As of September 30th, 2017, Digits has been shut down because we have migrated its main features to Firebase phone authentication - as announced back at Google I/O. Firebase phone authentication is the next evolution Digits with the following additional benefits:

• Faster user growth: Android SDK features instant, 1 touch verification for users in your apps
• More reliability: powered by the same telephony infrastructure that supports all Google products
• More power: direct API access joins our SDKs with increased flexibility
• Completely white-labeled: fully customizable phone authentication UI through our headless API

If your app still has the Digits SDK installed, your users won’t be able to authenticate their devices anymore if they try to sign in with Digits. To keep the identities of users who’ve signed in with Digits, you need to migrate to Firebase phone authentication.
