The Government of Armenia and the United Nations have set up the world’s first National SDG Innovation Lab to accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Armenia.
The project aims to increase income-generation opportunities and support rural infrastructure in borderline communities of Tavush region.
These initiatives are part of the five-year “Integrated Support to Rural Development: Building Resilient Communities” project, financed by the Government of the Russian Federation.
On 7 November the official opening ceremony of Tavush Tourism Research and Development Center took place in Ijevan branch of the Yerevan State University.
UNDP is moving towards adopting social entrepreneurship and impact investment principles in the development work.
Simplified procedures, reduced waiting times, modern infrastructure and equipment, and improved security are the advantages of the new BCP.
