Huddersfield 1-2 Manchester City: Raheem Sterling winner

A late Raheem Sterling goal proved to be the winner as the England winger bundled in to break Huddersfield hearts. Huddersfield took a shock lead on the brink of half-time as a corner was flicked on and then deflected in off the shoulder of Nicolas Otamendi. It didn't take long for the visitors to reply as Sergio Aguero scored from the spot after Raheem Sterling was felled in the area. Raheem Sterling bundled in the winner six minutes from time but it didn't look like he knew much about it as the save ricocheted off his thigh.

Huddersfield 1-2 Manchester City: Five things you missed

Raheem Sterling claimed a lucky late winner as Manchester City came from behind to restore their eight-point Premier League lead with a 2-1 win at Huddersfield. Sterling was the beneficiary as the ball rebounded off him into the net six minutes from time to break the resistance of the determined Terriers at the John Smith's Stadium. Huddersfield had claimed the lead courtesy of a Nicolas Otamendi own goal just before the break but City responded with a Sergio Aguero penalty. The visitors then went on to dominate the second period but appeared to be running out of ideas when Sterling accepted a late gift for his 12th goal of the season. With the engrossing onfield action you may have overlooked the game's finer points. Do not worry, Sportsmail brings you a round-up of all the things you may have missed from the clash at John Smith's Stadium.

A huge stroke of luck handed Manchester City a late 2-1 win at Huddersfield Town on Sunday to maintain their eight point lead at the top of the Premier League. Pep Guardiola's men were forced to come from behind after a Nicolas Otamendi own goal put the visitors ahead on the stroke of half time. Southampton 4-1 Everton: Austin seals win with a brace

RAITH AL-SAMARRAI AT ST MARY'S: For all his ambition and loyalty, for all the words he has spoken about leading this rabble permanently, there was a look on David Unsworth's face after Southampton's third of four goals that suggested he might just be better off when the job goes elsewhere. He looked tortured, utterly despondent at the sheer ineptness of this side, shaking his head and too angry to even bother leaving his seat for the usual shouts and waves. And why wouldn't he be? There was no surprise about what happened here because it is happening all the time.

Hazard, the one who stayed, dominated the first half,, bewitching Liverpool. Only on the 86th minute did Willian, who had been on the pitch for just three minutes, rescue them. Cutting inside he lifted what looked to be a cross goal-wards.
