International Film Festival of Kerala is a film festival conducted every year. It was launched in the year 1996 by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy under the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. This is the 20th year of this great film festival. Several national and international films have their premiers shown at the IFFK each year. Competition section is restricted to 14 films from Asia, Africa or Latin America. International Documentary & Short Film Festival of Kerala is also being organised by the Chalachitra Academy in connection with the IFFK.
International Film Festival of Kerala 2015 is being held in Thiruvananthapuram from 04th of December 2015 to 11 of December. IFFK 2015 remains a great platform for the movie lovers to watch and experience some of the world-class movies made in world languages. Though there are world movies, a Malayalam cinema gets a special dedication at this film festival.
