Can I just start by saying how much I absolutely love this character and making this video only made me love him even more? Damon Salvatore will always be my favorite. I already miss him and his humor. I included most of my favorite moments with him in this video. Although there is about a hundred more, this would be way too long. Let me know what you think! :)

"I'm not a hero, Elena. I don't do good. It's not in me."
This is the first video in a series of my character tributes for TVD. I plan on making one for every character. I'm still not sure who will the next one be about, but I wanted to start with my favorite tv character of all time - Damon. The only reasons I kept watching after Elena left, was for him. I acknowledge he's not perfect. He's done some horrible things and he knows it too. He killed people, hurt his loved ones. But he's also fiercely loyal, and ready to sacrifice himself for Elena, his family and friends (even though it takes him some time to actually care for someone). 'Damon logic' might be messed up, but I've always been able to understand him and sympathize with his story.
Damon was never a one dimensional character. He had to grow up with an abusive father, always trying to 'earn' his approval. His mother was never strong enough to leave Giuseppe, but left her sons to live with that monster while she found a new family - and then came back only to take Elena away from Damon. Every girl he's ever truly loved rejected him for Stefan, the brother who forced him to turn into a vampire. He's been pushed around throughout his entire life as a human. Hurt by his parents; after waiting for over a hundred years - hurt by Katherine, and even by Elena in season 3. He made some horrible choices, there's no denying that. He always had his reasons though, and I'm so glad that at the end - he got his happy ending! The human life he deserves, with the girl that loves him back.

Vocês me pediram para fazer a história do Damon e da Elena e eu juro que tentei fazer. O problema é que a história de "Diários de um vampiro" é muuuito complexa e muito lonja. Andrea Martin
Andrea Louise Martin (born January 15, 1947) is an American actress, singer, author and comedian. She has appeared in films such as Black Christmas, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, on stage in productions such as the 2013 revival of Pippin for which she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, My Favorite Year, for which she also won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. Early life
Martin was born in Portland, Maine, in 1947, eldest of three children born to Sybil A. (née Manoogian) and John Papazian Martin. Her paternal grandparents were Armenian immigrants who moved to the U.S. from Turkey to escape the Armenian Genocide. Her maternal grandparents were Armenians from Yerevan and Istanbul. Her father owned Martin's Foods, a grocery store chain.

Melissa De Sousa
Melissa De Sousa (born September 25, 1967) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Shelby in the 1999 romantic comedy-drama film The Best Man and its 2013 sequel The Best Man Holiday. De Sousa also starred as Gabriella Jimenez in BET's Reed Between the Lines (2011). Born in New York City, De Sousa is of Panamanian descent.
Life and career
Born in 1967, De Sousa was raised in New York by Panamanian parents. She began ballet at a very young age, studying under Joan Millin. She attended the High School of Performing Arts, and acting naturally followed.
De Sousa was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Film at the NAACP Image Awards for her performance in The Best Man. Other film credits include 30 Years to Life, Lockdown, Ride, and the short films The Fire This Time and Spark. De Sousa's starring television credits include The Street (2000), Second Time Around (2004–05), and One on One (2002–03).
She was recently seen as Lady Anne in An Evening of Shakespeare with Charles Dutton at the Hudson and Court theatres in Los Angeles. De Sousa also stars in the film The Best Man Holiday, released in November, 2013.

Damon is a US comedy television series starring Damon Wayans. The show lasted for thirteen episodes between March and July 1998. It was created by Leo Benvenuti, Steve Rudnick, and Damon Wayans and directed by John P. Whitesell.

Synopsis

Damon Wayans
Damon Kyle Wayans, Sr. (/ˈdeɪmən ˈweɪ.ənz/; born September 4, 1960) is an American actor, comedian, writer and producer, member of the Wayans family of entertainers. Wayans performed as a comedian and actor throughout the 1980s, including a yearlong stint on the sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, although his true breakthrough came as a co-creator and performer on his own sketch comedy show, In Living Color, from 1990 to 1992. Since then he has starred in a number of films and television shows, some of which he has co-produced or co-written, including The Last Boy Scout and Major Payne, and the sitcom My Wife and Kids.
Early life
Wayans was born in Harlem in New York City, the son of Elvira Alethia (Green), a homemaker, singer and social worker, and Howell Stouten Wayans, a supermarket manager. He has five sisters, Elvira, Vonnie, Nadia, Kim, Diedre, and four brothers, actors Marlon Wayans, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Dwayne Wayans. He was club footed as a child. This attribute would also be given to his character in My Wife and Kids and his character on the cartoon series Waynehead. Wayans attended Murry Bergtraum High School.

David Alan Grier
David Alan Grier (born June 30, 1956) is an American actor and comedian. He is known for his work on the sketch comedy television show In Living Color.
Early life
One of three children, Grier was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of mother Aretas Ruth (née Blaney), a school teacher, and father William Henry Grier, a psychiatrist and writer who co-wrote the book Black Rage.
Grier graduated from Detroit's magnet high school, Cass Tech, and received a B.A. from the University of Michigan, and an M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama in 1981.
When Grier was young, his family marched with Martin Luther King, Jr. in a March on Poverty in Detroit, where King gave an early version of the "I Have A Dream" speech.
Career
Immediately after graduating from Yale, Grier landed the role of Jackie Robinson in the short-lived Broadway musical The First, directed by Martin Charnin and written by Joel Siegel.
Grier got his start on the National Public Radio radio drama adaptation of Star Wars in 1981. He was the voice of a nameless X-wing fighter pilot during the Battle of Yavin.

This is the first video in a series of my character tributes for TVD. I plan on making one for every character. I'm still not sure who will the next one be about, but I wanted to start with my favorite tv character of all time - Damon. The only reasons I kept watching after Elena left, was for him. I acknowledge he's not perfect. He's done some horrible things and he knows it too. He killed people, hurt his loved ones. But he's also fiercely loyal, and ready to sacrifice himself for Elena, his family and friends (even though it takes him some time to actually care for someone). 'Damon logic' might be messed up, but I've always been able to understand him and sympathize with his story.
Damon was never a one dimensional character. He had to grow up with an abusive father, always trying to 'earn' his approval. His mother was never strong enough to leave Giuseppe, but left her sons to live with that monster while she found a new family - and then came back only to take Elena away from Damon. Every girl he's ever truly loved rejected him for Stefan, the brother who forced him to turn into a vampire. He's been pushed around throughout his entire life as a human. Hurt by his parents; after waiting for over a hundred years - hurt by Katherine, and even by Elena in season 3. He made some horrible choices, there's no denying that. He always had his reasons though, and I'm so glad that at the end - he got his happy ending! The human life he deserves, with the girl that loves him back.

This is the first video in a series of my character tributes for TVD. I plan on making one for every character. I'm still not sure who will the next one be about, but I wanted to start with my favorite tv character of all time - Damon. The only reasons I kept watching after Elena left, was for him. I acknowledge he's not perfect. He's done some horrible things and he knows it too. He killed people, hurt his loved ones. But he's also fiercely loyal, and ready to sacrifice himself for Elena, his family and friends (even though it takes him some time to actually care for someone). 'Damon logic' might be messed up, but I've always been able to understand him and sympathize with his story.
Damon was never a one dimensional character. He had to grow up with an abusive father, always trying to 'earn' his approval. His mother was never strong enough to leave Giuseppe, but left her sons to live with that monster while she found a new family - and then came back only to take Elena away from Damon. Every girl he's ever truly loved rejected him for Stefan, the brother who forced him to turn into a vampire. He's been pushed around throughout his entire life as a human. Hurt by his parents; after waiting for over a hundred years - hurt by Katherine, and even by Elena in season 3. He made some horrible choices, there's no denying that. He always had his reasons though, and I'm so glad that at the end - he got his happy ending! The human life he deserves, with the girl that loves him back.

Getting along with office colleagues can be rough, but working with your mom? That’s a whole different story, and it’s the headline for Katie Wendelson (Briga Heelan, “Ground Floor,” “Undateable Live”), a smart, ambitious news producer at “The Breakdown,” a national cable news show that shoots in Secaucus, NJ.
Katie was raised by an overly-involved mom who always told her she was destined for greatness. But now at thirty and feeling stuck in her career, Katie is starting to have some doubts. Meanwhile her mother, Carol (Andrea Martin, “SCTV,” “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” “Hairspray Live!”), is also looking for a change. After thirty years of being a stay-at-home mom, Carol decides that it’s never too late to follow your dreams and lands an internship at her daughter’s news show. This is Katie’s worst nightmare, until she comes to realize that with her biggest cheerleader at her side, she and her mom both might just make it after all.
It takes a village to deliver the news day in and day out, and “The Breakdown” team does it with their own special flair. Sitting in the co-anchor chair is Chuck Pierce (John Michael Higgins, “Pitch Perfect,” “Best in Show”), the blowhard, difficult-to-please news desk veteran. Once a well-respected network newsman, Chuck intimidates everyone on staff except for Carol, who uses her polished mom skills to deal with him. Together this odd duo forges an unlikely friendship. Alongside him is Portia (Nicole Richie, “Candidly Nicole,” “The Simple Life”), the young, very hip co-host who brings a different perspective to old-fashioned journalism. Sometimes a shrewd social media genius, other times a bit checked-out, Portia is always butting heads with Chuck.
Leading the news team is Greg (Adam Campbell, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” “Mixology”), the dashing, young executive producer. Energetic and a little uptight, Greg is constantly putting out fires and managing the co-hosts’ whims and tantrums. Katie’s closest friend at the office is Justin (Horatio Sanz, “Saturday Night Live,” “The Dictator”), the laid back video editor. Having spent years editing horrific news footage, Justin has seen it all and is always more than happy to dole out his zen-like advice. Rounding out the newsroom is Beth (Tracey Wigfield), the creepy resident meteorologist who is far from your stereotypical weather girl.
The laughs hit close to home in this new office comedy from Wigfield (“The Mindy Project,” “30 Rock”), who serves as creator and executive producer. He also discusses his character Johnny Del Bravo in The David Steinberg Show, performing in the play Not Enough Rope and his admiration of Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, John Candy and James Dean. He answers some of Brian's questions as Katharine Hepburn.
From 1974 to 2000, Canada’s Brian Linehan conducted thousands of in-depth interviews with the greatest actors and directors from over 60 years of film history. His programs City Lights and Linehan have not been seen since they first aired and are now available for the first time for licensing. Linehan, a stylishly gifted broadcaster, meticulously did all his own research and that, coupled with his knowledge and passion about film and filmmaking, puts him in a class all by himself.

ANDREA MARTIN is currently appearing on Broadway as Berthe in the Tony Award winning new production of Pippin, for which she earned 2013 Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards.
Ms. Martin began her career as a singing chicken on the "Captain Kangaroo" television show. She was then cast in the US Touring Company of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, in which she played Lucy. It was during that tour that she visited Toronto, Canada, fell in love with the city, later moved there and within a month got cast in the Toronto production of Godspell. That show also featured the now legendary cast of Victor Garber, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Gilda Radner, Jayne Eastwood and Paul Shaffer, their musical director. Ms. Martin went on to appear in Leonard Bernstein's Candide as well as Private Lives with Maggie Smith and Brian Bedford at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival Theatre.
She has appeared in numerous theatre and television productions in Canada, the most notable being Toronto's Second City stage show for five years which led to the critically claimed "SCTV." She has hosted every televised award program in the country and is the recipient of both the Canada Walk of Fame and Women in Television and Film awards. For her work in the recent Toronto production of Love, Loss and What I Wore, as well as her one woman show Final Days! Everything Must Go!!, she received BroadwayWorld.com's 2010 Best Actress and Best Theatrical Event Awards.
Ms Martin has also received four ACTRA awards for her involvement in "SCTV," two GEMINI nominations for hosting the 2007 Winnipeg Comedy Festival and for the CBC miniseries, "St. Urban's Horseman."
Her film credits include Breaking Upwards, My Big Fat Greek Wedding (SAG award nomination and People's Choice Award for Best Ensemble), Hedwig and the Angry Inch, All Over the Guy, Mary Walsh's Young Triffie's Been Made Away With, Stepping Out, Bogus, Wag the Dog, New York Minute, both the original and remake of Black Christmas, and Cannibal Girls (co-starring Eugene Levy) for which she won the Best Actress Award at SITGES, the international horror film festival of Spain.
For her work on "SCTV" Ms. Martin won 2 Emmy Awards for writing and received an Emmy nomination for Best Actress in a Variety series. Her additional television credits include "My Big Fat Greek Life," "Little Mosque on the Prairie," and "Nurse Jackie." She is the recipient of 3 American Comedy Award nominations for several cable specials including her own "Andrea Martin Together Again" for Showtime, which also received a Cable Ace Award nomination for writing.
She has lent her voice to an impressive list of animated projects including Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, The Rugrats Movie, "The Simpsons," Superman, Anastasia, "George and Martha," and "Sesame Street" for which she received a special Emmy Award.
Ms. Martin has received more Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations as a Featured Actress in a Musical than any other actress. She received her first Tony and Drama Desk Awards, as well as a Theatre World Award, for her Broadway debut as Alice Miller in My Favorite Year. She went on to receive nominations for her performances as Juliette in Exit the King opposite Geoffrey Rush and Susan Sarandon, Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein, Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! and the Old Lady in Candide. She also appeared on Broadway as Golde in Fiddler on the Roof opposite Harvey Fierstein. Her off-Broadway theater credits include her one-woman show Nude, Nude, Totally Nude (Drama Desk Award nomination), On the Town (City Center Encores!), The Exonerated, The Vagina Monologues and The Merry Wives of Windsor. She has appeared regionally in The Torch-Bearers, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Matchmaker, The Royal Family (all at Williamstown Theatre Festival). She also starred in the Huntington Theatre Company productions of The Rose Tattoo and Betty's Summer Vacation, for which she won the IRNE and the Elliot Norton Award for Best Actress.
She divides her time between New York City and Toronto, when she is not interfering in the lives of her grown sons, Jack and Joe, who reside in LA.
