SYNOPSIS
Danny is a Mod. He lives,drinks and eats Mod just like his Dad. After his Dads mysterious disappearance Danny takes over his Dads business,a scooter dealership and The Punchbowl a successful night club. Unfortunately for Danny he also takes on his Dads dodgy past with Mad Mike,an underworld mobster and total psychopathic lunatic.
Mad Mike threatens Danny's family and coerces him into bringing back a large quantity of drugs from the Isle Of Wight. With help from Danny's mum Judy ( Leslie Ash ) and some of his dads mates,Tommy ( Mark Wingett ), Bunny ( Toyah Wilcox ), Charlie ( Gary Shail ) and Rudy ( Trevor Laird ) they come up with a plan to use The Isle Of Wight scooter rally as a cover to bring the drugs back.
Having successfully retrieved the drugs from an old deserted mansion they arrange a handover to Mad Mike and his right hand man,Dickson,a corrupt police detective who's been on Mikes payroll for years. The scene is set to hand the drugs over at some old wasteland,but it all goes horribly wrong and they all get arrested !
However… a very strange and unexpected twist saves the day.

ROSLA stood for Raising Of The School Leaving Age, when the age at which kids could legally leave school in Britain was raised from 15 to 16 in the 1970's. Most of the kids on You Must Be Joking! were caught by this and had to stay at school an extra year. Elvis Payne didn't mind. Ray Burdis wrote this song to express his anger at being locked up in school for an extra year..
Ray Burdis wrote and directed The Wee Man a soon to be released movie. Watch for it.
You Must Be Joking! was a British TV series of the mid 1970's which somewhat resembled and inspired the later North American TV series You Can't Do That On Television! However the British version was much more outspoken..

Ray Burdis
Ray Burdis (born October 1959 in London) is an English actor, screenwriter, director and film producer.
Burdis started acting at eleven years old when he trained at the Anna Scher Theatre in Islington. He appeared in an episode of the classic BBC sitcom Steptoe and Son when he was fifteen, but his first major role was at the age of sixteen, in the Thames Television series You Must Be Joking! , which he also co-created and wrote. He also starred with Phil Daniels in Four Idle Hands.
In 1978 Burdis auditioned for a presenting job on the BBC children's programme Blue Peter as a replacement for John Noakes. Richard Marson's book celebrating the show's fiftieth anniversary records this fact and film of the audition was shown at a BAFTA celebration in October 2008.
Burdis played the part of cowardly inmate Eckersley in the controversial movie Scum in 1979. He had played the same role two years earlier in a BBC television version of the story, although this was not transmitted for many years due to its graphic nature, hence the cinematic re-make. Burdis appeared in the Minder episodes "Not a Bad Lad, Dad" and "Hypnotising Rita", and played Joe in the musical drama The Music Machine (1979). He later had a small role alongside Daniel Day-Lewis in the film Gandhi (1982).
