Violet Gray is a fictional character featured in the long-running syndicated daily and Sunday comic strip Peanuts, created by Charles M. Schulz. She was initially a major character, until she began to fade into the background.
Violet is best known as a snobby upper-class girl who likes bragging and, tagged along by her friends Patty (her best friend) and Lucy, often teases and torments Charlie Brown.
In addition to the comic strip, Violet has appeared alongside other Peanuts characters in numerous Peanuts television specials, cinematic movies, theatrical plays, and video games.
Violet was first featured in the February 7, 1951 Peanuts strip. From there on, Violet's character changed and developed until she began to become less prominent than the other major characters, with her forthcoming appearances reduced to mere cameos. Her last comic strip appearance, discounting the reruns of the strip, was on the November 27, 1997 Peanuts strip.
Violet is a work of interactive fiction by Jeremy Freese. It is a one-room puzzle game. It took first place in the 2008 Interactive Fiction Competition with an average score of 8.53. That score is the highest of any Interactive Fiction Competition entry from 1999 through 2012.Violet was selected as the best interactive fiction game for 2008 by both the Jay Is Games staff and audience.Violet took 35.1% of the vote in the Jay Is Games audience award, compared to 18.7% for the second place winner, Lost Pig.Violet won four awards in the 2008 XYZZY Awards: Best game, writing, individual puzzle ("Disconnecting the Internet in Violet/Getting rid of the key in Violet"), and individual NPC (Violet, the eponymous character).
The protagonist of Violet is a graduate student trying to write 1,000 words for his dissertation. The protagonist's girlfriend, Violet, threatens to leave otherwise. The protagonist faces a stream of distractions, including a window with a view of the campus, and a computer with access to blogs and webcomics. In the course of the game, the protagonist must "reconsider—and risk wrecking—" his career and relationship.
Fake? is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in 2001 by Ken Lloyd and Inoran. Their music has been described as alternative mixed with electronic sounds. Their sound has also been called "Mixture Rock" as well as an "alternative punk rock mix." Lyrics are mainly in English and sometimes in Japanese.
In late 2001 Oblivion Dust vocalist Ken Lloyd joined up with Luna Sea guitarist Inoran and formed Fake?. They didn't go public until early 2002, though, where the two of them held a secret two-day "Show Case" event at Liquidroom Shinjuku. A short time later they released their first single "Taste Maximum." They released another single "Someday" and their first album "Breathe In..." which reached the top 30 in the Oricon charts despite a lack of promotion, major magazine interviews, or photo-sessions. Their respective musical influences can be heard throughout the album: slightly more trip hop songs were composed by Inoran, slightly more Punk rock songs composed by Ken. Then, they took part at the Summer Sonic Festival 2002 in Tokyo, Osaka, and Hong Kong. They also played in gigs at Nagoya Diamond Hall, Osaka Namba Hatch and the Akasaka BLITZ. On November 2, the band started its Live Tour, doing 7 concerts in 5 towns. The final concert of this tour on November 24 at Zepp Tokyo, was later broadcast in Japan by WOWOW.
"Fake" is a song written and recorded by British soft rock group Simply Red. It was released in July 2003 as the second single from the album, Home. It was the next single after their international smash hit "Sunrise". It reached number-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play for the week of 14 February 2004.
The music video was filmed at a nightclub in Watford, England and was directed by Andy Morahan. It features Mick Hucknall walking around in the nightclub and talking to people who look like famous artists and celebrities. Among them are doubles of Eminem, Ozzy Osbourne, Naomi Campbell, Kylie Minogue, Diana Ross, Robert De Niro, Madonna, Pamela Anderson, Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, Halle Berry, Michael Jackson, Joan Collins, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham. Hucknall also meets his own double. It also features Hucknall in a library when the line "I read a book and it's your face" is said.
"Fake" (stylized as "FAKE") is Japanese R&B singer Ai's 20th single, featuring pop/R&B musician Namie Amuro. It was released on March 31, 2010.
This single is the first of Ai's to be released since her greatest hits collection, Best Ai, in the third term 2009. It is one of many releases intended to celebrate Ai's 10th anniversary since her debut, with many further collaborations planned.
Ai and Amuro have worked together twice in the past. Once in 2003 as part of the Suite Chic project on the song "Uh Uh......" feat. AI, and once again in 2006 on Zeebra's song "Do What U Gotta Do" feat. AI, Namie Amuro & Mummy-D.
Before the release of the physical single, the track had been downloaded 30,000 times as a cellphone full-length download, and the music video viewed over 50,000 times on YouTube. In May 2010, the RIAJ certified the song as being a gold chaku-uta full download, selling over 100,000 downloads.

Poor little Charlie Brown. Scene from "You're In Love, Charlie Brown" - I find that to be the most pathos centric Peanuts special. I suggest you watch it, it's excellent.

In a rare moment, we see Violet Gray being kind to Charlie Brown. Even in the beginning, Violet is trying to save Charlie from embarrassing himself, but Charlie turns out to win the spelling bee. It goes to show that there is a heart even in the crabbiest of people. Violet can be nice at times. We should all try to be nice. Kindness is SO much better for everyone.
