As many as 70 persons were hurt when eight of the 19 bogies of Padmavat Express train derailed near Hapur in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday night. Nobody was critically injured. According to initial reports, the accident took place due to coach decoupling. The train was heading from Old Delhi to Faizabad. The Delhi-Muradabad rail route has been badly hit due to the mishap. Eight trains have been cancelled and 29 trains diverted after the accident. An NDRF team was dispatched to the spot for relief operation.

Hapur
Hapur (known earlier as Haripur) is a city in, as well as the headquarters of, Hapur district, in western Uttar Pradesh, India. Located about 60 kilometres (37 mi) east of New Delhi, the city is part of the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR). National Highway 24, connecting Delhi-Lucknow, passes through the city. Hapur is known as a manufacturing center for stainless steel pipes, sewing machines, and wood and paper products.
History
Hapur is said to have been founded in the 10th century. It was granted by Daulat Scindia to his French general Pierre Cuillier-Perron at the end of the 18th century. Under the British Raj, Hapur was within Meerut District, was surrounded by several fine groves, and carried on considerable trade in sugar, grain, cotton, timber, bamboo, and brass utensils. The important cavalry remount depot and farm of Babugarh adjoined the town.
Geography
Hapur (Haripur) is located at 28°43′N 77°47′E / 28.72°N 77.78°E / 28.72; 77.78. It has an average elevation of 213 meters (699 feet). It is bound on the north by Meerut, in the south by Bulandshahr, while Ghaziabad forms the southern and western limits. Amroha District (formerly Jyotiba Phule Agar) lies to the east. The river Ganges forms the eastern boundary and home to the sacred place known as 'Garhmukteshwar' where lakhs of people come every year for pilgrimage. The ground is not rocky and there are no mountains. Hapur is part of the Indus-Gangetic Plain, the soil composed of pleistocene and more recent alluvial sediments transported and deposited by river action from the Himalayan region. These alluvial deposits are unconsolidated. Lithologically, sediments consist of clay, silt and fine to coarse sand. Land is very fertile for growing crops, especially wheat, sugarcane and vegetables. Also, the river 'kali nadi' issues from the outskirts of the city.

Going beyond the drama of police action in a crime situation, the show also aims to look into the "why" behind a crime. Police action on one hand gives the show the edge of how the law keepers bring the culprits to book or stop a crime from being committed. On the other hand, the show will also be looking at the sociological aspect behind a crime- both from the victim as well as the criminal's side. The cases would be driven by cameras moving along with the police force from the time a crime is reported or when the police receive a call till the point the case is brought to a logical conclusion in the police records for further movement in the court of law.

Në ambjentet e Sh.L.P "Vitrina" u zhvillua një seminar i hapur nga përfaqësues të Universitetit "Toulon" në Francë Prof. Dr. Alain Guillatin, Drejtor i Institutit të së Drejtës, Ing. Zef Pnishi, Teknolog dhe Dr. Idriz Hasaj nga Kosova. Ato shoqëroheshin nga miqtë nga Kosova, Z. Tom Pnishi dhe Biznesmeni Z. Agim Dedaj. Për të shoqëruar të ftuarit ishin Rektori i Universitetit "Vitrina" Prof. Dr. Mario Kedhi, Zv. Rektore Dr. proc. Anisa Subashi, Zv. Rektori i Universiteti Prof. As. Dr. Teki Kurti i cili moderoi dhe takimin. Si fillim Profesori Teki Kurti bëri një përshkrim të rreth degëve të studimit, nivelet Master dhe Barchelor në Universitetin tone si dhe një prezantim të shkurtër të ftuarve tanë. Prof. Dr. Alain Guillatin theksoi se do të vendosen bashkëpunime midis Universitetit "Vitrina" dhe Universitetit "Toulon", ku tha se kemi politika ndërkomtare dhe në këtë kuadër jemi të gatshëm të presim student të shteteve të ndryshme. Ai shtoi se në Universitetin e "Toulon" ka shumë student shqiptarë që ndjekin studimet atje dhe që kanë patur shumë sukses. Në kuadër të këtij bashkëpunimi nxjerrim 3 konkluzione:
1- Të pranojmë student dhe ti integrojmë ato në platformat franceze si dhe e anasjelltas
2- Dërgimin e profesorëve që të punojnë në Universitetin "Toulon" si dhe ardhjen e porfesorëve francez që të ndajnë eksperiencat e tyre në Universitetin "Vitrina".
3- Mundësi e organizimit të studentëve Master dhe Bachelor që të zhvillojnë praktikat e tyre atje.

Ky aktivitet, i cili organizohet për çdo vit, është shndërruar në një aktivitet tradicional dhe me bujë të madhe në shoqërinë kosovare në sajë të përkrahjes së madhe nga komunat partnere, të përkrahësve dhe sponsorëve ndërkombëtarë e lokalë, e veçanërisht nga pjesëmarrësit e aktivitetit përmes pasionit dhe entuziazmit të tyre.
Tour de Culture është iniciativë e Trashëgimisë Kulturore pa Kufij (CHwB) dhe i Programit të Mbështetjes së Planifikimit Hapësinor Komunal (MuSPP) i UN- HABITAT-it, që të dyja të financuara nga Suedia. Ky është një aktivitet unik në Kosovë dhe përbëhet nga sinergji parimesh që rrjedhin nga Ditët e Trashëgimisë Evropiane (DTE), Java Evropiane e Mobilitetit (JEM) dhe nga programet përkatëse të CHwB-së dhe UN-HABITAT-it.*
Këtë vit, për edicionin e gjashtë, tour-i u organizua në rajonin e Ferizajit me relacion Ferizaj(Mulliri i Nikës) - Kaçanik(Kalaja e Kaçanikut) ku morrën pjesë afërsisht 1000 persona nga të gjitha moshat dhe komunat. Pjesëmarrja e madhe është tregues që dëshira e popullatës për përdorimin e mjeteve levizëse jo-motorrike po rritet. Për më shumë, ky numër i madh tregon edhe vullnetin e popullatës për organizime të tilla të fushatave promovuese për lëvizje jo-motorike. Krahas kësaj, gjatë tour-it pjesëmarrësit patën rastin të shohin një ndër fenomenet e rralla natyrore siq është Bifurkacioni i lumit Nerodime, gjithashtu parakaluan përrreth kishës ortodokse dhe xhamise (këto të dyja ndajn nje oborr sëbashku) ne komunen e Ferizajit qe simbolizon bashkjetesën në harmoni të këtyre dy besimeve fetare në kohërat e mëherëshme dhe tani. Si përfundim, të gjithë pjesëmarrësit shijuan bukurite natyrore te malit Lybeten me freskinë e tij dhe rrugën përgjat lumit Lepenc që drejton në Komunen e Kaçanikut. Shpresojmë që përveq knaqësisë që sjell aktiviteti Tour de Culture të bëhet edhe vetëdijsimi popullatës për mbajtjen e ambientit paster, ruajtjen e monumenteve historike dhe përdorimin sa më të vogël të mjeteve lëvizëse që shkaktojnë dëme Natyrës.
