Riley B. "B.B." King (September 16, 1925 – May 14, 2015) was an American blues singer, guitarist, songwriter, and record producer. King introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending and shimmering vibrato that influenced many later electric blues guitarists.
King was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, and is considered one of the most influential blues musicians of all time, earning the nickname "The King of the Blues", and one of the "Three Kings of the Blues Guitar" along with Albert King and Freddie King. King was known for performing tirelessly throughout his musical career, appearing at more than 200 concerts per year on average into his 70s. In 1956, he reportedly appeared at 342 shows.
King died at the age of 89 in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 14, 2015 from complications of Alzheimer's disease along with congestive heart failure and diabetic complications.
Riley B. King was born on September 16, 1925, on a cotton plantation called Berclair, near the town of Itta Bena, Mississippi, the son of sharecroppers Albert and Nora Ella King. He considered the nearby city of Indianola, Mississippi to be his home. When Riley was 4 years old, his mother left his father for another man, so the boy was raised by his maternal grandmother, Elnora Farr, in Kilmichael, Mississippi.
BB, Bb (or similar) may refer to:
"The Thrill Is Gone" is a slow minor-key blues song written by West coast blues musician Roy Hawkins and Rick Darnell in 1951. Hawkins' recording of the song reached number six in the Billboard R&B chart in 1951. In 1970, "The Thrill Is Gone" became a major hit for B.B. King. Subsequently, many blues and other artists have recorded their interpretations of the song.
B.B. King recorded his version of "The Thrill Is Gone" in June 1969 for his album Completely Well, released the same year. King's version is a slow twelve-bar blues notated in the key of B minor in 4/4 time. The song's polished production and use of strings marked a departure from both the original song and King's previous material. When released as a single in December 1969, the song became one of the biggest hits of King's career, appearing in the R&B chart at number three and the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart at number fifteen and became one of his signature songs.
B.B. King's recording earned him a Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 1970 and a Grammy Hall of Fame award in 1998. King's version of the song was also placed at number 183 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest songs of all time. Memorable live versions of the song were included on King's albums Live in Cook County Jail (1971), Bobby Bland and B.B. King Together Again...Live (1976), and Live at San Quentin (1991).
Royal Albert may refer to several places named in memory of Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha:
Other uses:
Royal Albert Hall is a concert hall on the northern edge of South Kensington, London, best known for holding the Proms concerts annually each summer since 1941. It has a capacity (depending on configuration of the event) of up to 5,272 seats. The Hall is a registered charity held in trust for the nation and receives no public or government funding.
Since its opening by Queen Victoria in 1871, the world's leading artists from many performance genres have appeared on its stage and it has become one of the UK's most treasured and distinctive buildings. Each year it hosts more than 390 shows in the main auditorium, including classical, rock and pop concerts, ballet, opera, film screenings with live orchestra, sports, award ceremonies, school and community events, charity performances and banquets. A further 400 events are held each year in the non-auditorium spaces.
The Hall was originally supposed to have been called the Central Hall of Arts and Sciences, but the name was changed to the Royal Albert Hall of Arts and Sciences by Queen Victoria upon laying the Hall's foundation stone in 1867, in memory of her late husband consort, Prince Albert who had died six years earlier. It forms the practical part of a national memorial to the Prince Consort – the decorative part is the Albert Memorial directly to the north in Kensington Gardens, now separated from the Hall by the road Kensington Gore.

B.B. King spoke of his great love of music making and provided sound advice for those who want to play an instrument. He smiled as he recalled buying his first guitar amplifier and spoke with a warm voice when reflecting on his greatest musical influences. BB's NAMM Oral History interview was a time for him to reflect on his early instruments and the music stores he visited during his life and career as one of the greatest blues guitarists of all time.

"I don't like to feel that I owe anything. I like to feel that I pay my own way, no free lunch." - B.B. King on September 5, 1986, as told to Joe Smith Mr. B.B. King. The blues legend says he played 300 nights a year for four-plus decades. That's just ridiculous. We're talking about nearly 15,000 shows. King turns 90 this year and you still just might be able to see him on stage. So what's his secret? We heard some keys to living life to its fullest in a 1986 interview that had been unheard until now. In this animated film created from B.B. King's interview with legendary music executive, Joe Smith, the musician explains how he approaches an audience, how a fire at a juke joint led to his naming his guitar "Lucille", why the blues isn't just being down on your luck, and why compliments ...
At 87, blues musician B.B. King is still a touring machine. If you ask one of his friends about where he lives these days, you'll get, "Well technically Las Vegas, but really he lives out on the road," as Robert Terrell explains. He's the director of entertainment at the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center in Indianola, Miss., not far from where the blues musician was born on a Delta cotton plantation.

Dick Clark interviews BB King on American Bandstand
http://jbonamassa.com/features/2015/bonamassa-remembering-bbking/ “For many of us the thought of not having BB King on this earth seemed surreal. A man larger than life who was a constant, something you can set your watch to. The sun will rise and fall and B.B. King will play the blues. Sadly, today the sun rose but the music was silent. To say that the loss of B.B. King is devastating to the blues community is an understatement. He defined the blues, he was the blues. He brought blues to an audience that would never have found the blues if B.B. was not the conduit. Never again will there be another as good, gracious or as kind as Mr. King. When Mr. King came off the road last year I couldn't believe nor wanted to accept that I would never hear his nephew Walter King introduce him again, ...
Tonight and Monday, we will pay tribute to the life and legacy of legendary blues guitarist B.B. King, who passed away last night at the age of 89. We last spoke with B.B. in 2013 for a two-part conversation about his life and extraordinary career. B.B. King interview recalls Stevie Ray Vaughan, another great fellow blues rock artist who has passed away. Iconic blues man Riley B.B. King died at age 89. The guitarist, who along with Freddie King and Albert King (no relation) constituted the Kings of Blues, died Thursday May 14, 2015 in Las Vegas, where he was receiving in-home hospice care according to CNN. Born the son of a sharecropper in Mississippi, King rose to fame on the blues scene in the ’50s and earned himself the nickname “B.B.,” which stands for “Blues Boy.” King wrote a series of hit songs throughout that decade starting with “3 O’Clock Blues” in 1952. In the late ’60s and early ’70s, the guitarist reached a wider audience when a new generation of rock ‘n’ roll bands and musicians such as Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton s...

If you want my love, baby
If you really do.
Don't be afraid, baby
Just ask and ooh, I'm gonna give it to you.
Though I do declare, I want to see you with it.
Stretch out your arms little boy,
You're gonna get it.
'Cause I love you.
Baby, baby, baby I love you.
Ain't no doubt about , I love you.
Baby, baby, baby I love you
I love you, I love you, Baby I love you.
Some day, you might wanna run away
Leave me sitting here, crying.
But if it's all the same to you baby,
I'm gonna stop you from saying goodbye.
Because I love you, baby I love you, I love you.
I love you baby.
Some day you might wanna run away
Leave me here, sitting and crying.
But if it's all the same to you baby,
I'm gonna stop you from saying goodbye.
Baby I love you, baby I need you, gotta have you baby, tell you darling.
Don't let your neighbors tell you that I don't want you.
Don't let your low down friends tell you I don't need you.
Ooh, baby I love you. I got to have you.
