"Paid Killer" was released in 1978 on Moon Martin's debut album, Shots From A Cold Nightmare. I bought the record after hearing a couple of cuts playing in my favorite record store of the day and after one spin I became a huge fan. Moon Martin's music is very unique....stylish, cool and moody. His voice is a perfect match for the style, his unique vocals made him one of my favorite singers during the period. Most of his lyrics and imagery seem the aural match of the film noir classics of the '40s and '50s.
I remain a huge fan of his first 4 albums and hopefully I'll get some more of my planned vid efforts finished for more of my favorite tracks from these records.
Early one morning many months ago I had started 3 video efforts for my favorite tracks off of Shots From A Cold Nightmare ("Paid Killer", "Nite Thoughts", and "Victim Of Romance"), "Victim Of Romance" was first one finished but this will be the first one uploaded. It's nothing special....just some pics of Eliza Dushku pics and a couple of images from the Hitman video game series...but hey, what else do you need besides Eliza Dushku? ;-)

Martin (film)
Martin is a 1977 American horror film written and directed by George A. Romero.
Romero claims that Martin is the favorite of all his films. The film is also notable as the first collaboration between George Romero and special effects artist Tom Savini.
Plot
As the film opens, a young man (John Amplas), travelling on an overnight train from Indianapolis to Pittsburgh, sedates a young woman with a syringe full of narcotics, slices her wrist with a razor blade, and drinks her blood. The next morning, he is met at the Pittsburgh train station by a mysterious man in white (Lincoln Maazel) who escorts him away, whereupon the pair board a local train destined for Braddock.
The young man is Martin, who has romantic monochrome visions of vampiric seductions and torch-lit mobs, but it is impossible to tell if these visions are real or imagined.
The mysterious man in white is Martin's suspicious, old granduncle, Tateh Cuda. Due to the death of Martin's immediate family in Indianapolis, Cuda has reluctantly agreed to give Martin room and board as he is the closest living relative and Martin will share the house with him and cousin Christine in the dying town of Braddock.

The film was a direct spinoff from National Lampoon magazine. It is about a misfit group of fraternity members who challenge the dean of Faber College. Plot: Martin takes away Magdalena, his girlfriend, from her home to live with him. There, Magdalena will take care of Martin's father, who's in bed very sick. But Magdalena's relatives are very upset with Martin. Cristino, her brother, looks for revenge in the bar, but Martin defeats him in front of the governor of the town. Martin's brother, on the contrary, is a good man with a prosper corn business, and soon he will marry with his girlfriend. But one night occurs a tragedy. Martin's father dies in a fire while he was sleeping, and he's blaming Magdalena about the accident. Martin leaves Magdalena, after seriously beating her up. Martin's brother fiancée tries to convince him about coming back with Magdalena, but he says that never loves the girl, and she's the one that he loves instead. The day of Martin's brother weeding has come and there will be Martin, demanding to his fiancée to come with him by the force.

"Paid Killer" was released in 1978 on Moon Martin's debut album, Shots From A Cold Nightmare. I bought the record after hearing a couple of cuts playing in my favorite record store of the day and after one spin I became a huge fan. Moon Martin's music is very unique....stylish, cool and moody. His voice is a perfect match for the style, his unique vocals made him one of my favorite singers during the period. Most of his lyrics and imagery seem the aural match of the film noir classics of the '40s and '50s. I remain a huge fan of his first 4 albums and hopefully I'll get some more of my planned vid efforts finished for more of my favorite tracks from these records. Early one morning many months ago I had started 3 video efforts for my favorite tracks off of Shots From A Cold Nightmar...

I bought the record after hearing a couple of cuts playing in my favorite record store of the day and after one spin I became a huge fan. Most of his lyrics and imagery seem the aural match of the film noir classics of the '40s and '50s.

Early one morning many months ago I had started 3 video efforts for my favorite tracks off of Shots From A Cold Nightmare ("Paid Killer", "Nite Thoughts", and "Victim Of Romance"), "Victim Of Romance" was first one finished but this will be the first one uploaded. Not only is the F-16 the most popular fighter of the present era, it remains technically state-of-the-art. At the end of the 1970s it was the most agile jet fighter in the world and the pioneer of several technical innovations such as the fly-by-wire control system. Even today it continues to set the standard for modern military aircraft.

National Lampoon's Animal House is a 1978 American comedy film directed by John Landis. The film was a direct spinoff from National Lampoon magazine. It is about a misfit group of fraternity members who challenge the dean of Faber College.
The screenplay was adapted by Douglas Kenney, Chris Miller, and Harold Ramis from stories written by Miller and published in National Lampoon magazine. The stories were based on Miller's experiences in the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity at Dartmouth College. Other influences on the film came from Ramis's experiences in the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity at Washington University in St. Louis, and producer Ivan Reitman's experiences at Delta Upsilon at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Of the younger lead actors, only John Belushi was an established star, but even he had not yet appeared in a film, having gained fame mainly from his Saturday Night Live television appearances. Several of the actors who were cast as college students, including Karen Allen, Tom Hulce, and Kevin Bacon, were just beginning their film careers, although Tim Matheson was coming off a large role as one of the assassin motorcycle cops in the second Dirty Harry film, Magnum Force.
