In this weeks tutorial, I am giving you my top tip for NEW EDM PRODUCERS. If you are looking for a top tip to get your productions to that next level, or your first step to making a track then this first EDM lesson will be able to help. These are top tips for producers!
In my opinion, the best bit of advice for new EDM producers is to focus on getting your drums correct. Learning how to make a great drum beat will kick start your track and make your first few tracks much more interesting.
There are two types of drum beat that I believe all different types of EDM fall into. There is the classic "four on the floor", and then there is the classic hip-hop beat. All other types of EDM music will fall into those two categories.
The program I am using is Ableton. In this video, I run you through the two different types of drum beat and the stages you should go through when you begin every single track.

The Beat Generation course exposes kids to the creative art of music production using Ableton Live, one of the most advanced yet most intuitive production tools available. At the conclusion of the course, students will come away with their own original song and one remix, produced in Ableton.

Over the past few years, no hip-hop producer has become a bigger star than Metro Boomin. From releasing entire collaborative projects with 21 Savage, Offset, and Big Sean to working on singles with some of the biggest names in the game, Metro has boosted his profile considerably. It also doesn’t hurt that his beats are easily identifiable by his voice tags. One of his tags has Young Thug uttering “Metro Boomin want some more,” which you can hear on hits like Offset’s “Ric Flair Drip.” Meanwhile his “If young Metro don’t trust you, I’m gon' shoot you” tag is best exemplified on the intro of Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s 2016 hit “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.” The tag is ingeniously woven into the song, serving as a crucial component of the opening drop despite previously appearing on Drake and Future’s “Jumpman” and (originally) the bridge of Uncle Murda’s “Right Now.”

Track (rail transport)
The track on a railway or railroad, also known as the permanent way, is the structure consisting of the rails, fasteners, railroad ties (sleepers, British English) and ballast (or slab track), plus the underlying subgrade. It enables trains to move by providing a dependable surface for their wheels to roll. For clarity it is often referred to as railway track (British English and UIC terminology) or railroad track (predominantly in the United States). Tracks where electric trains or electric trams run are equipped with an electrification system such as an overhead electrical power line or an additional electrified rail.
The term permanent way also refers to the track in addition to lineside structures such as fences etc.

Fidelipac
The Fidelipac, commonly known as a "NAB cartridge" or simply "cart", is a magnetic tape sound recording format, used for radio broadcasting for playback of material over the air such as radio commercials, jingles, station identifications, and music. Fidelipac is the official name of this industry standard audio tape cartridge. It was developed in 1954 by inventor George Eash (although the invention of the Fidelipac cartridge has also been credited to Vern Nolte of the Automatic Tape Company), and commercially introduced in 1959 by Collins Radio at the 1959 NAB Convention. The cartridge was widely used at radio stations until the late 1990s, when such formats as MiniDisc and computerized broadcast automation made the Fidelipac cartridge obsolete.
History
The Fidelipac cartridge was the first audio tape cartridge available commercially, based on the endless-loop tape cartridge design developed by Bernard Cousino in 1952, while Eash shared space in Cousino's electronics shop in the early 1950s. Instead of manufacturing the Fidelipac format himself after developing it, Eash decided to license it for manufacture to Telepro Industries, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Telepro then manufactured and marketed the format under the Fidelipac brand name.

The Producers (TV series)
The Producers (Hangul: 프로듀사; RR: Peurodyusa; lit. "Producer") is a 2015 South Korean television series starring Kim Soo-hyun, Cha Tae-hyun, Gong Hyo-jin and IU. It aired on KBS2 from 15 May 2015 to 20 June 2015 on Fridays and Saturdays at 21:15 for 12 episodes.

Hip hop production
Hip hop production is the creation of hip hop music. While the term encompasses all aspects of hip hop music, it is most commonly used to refer to the instrumental, non-lyrical aspects of hip hop. This means that hip hop producers are the instrumentalists involved in a work. Modern hip hop production uses samplers, sequencers, drum machines, synthesizers, turntables, and live instrumentation. A hip hop instrumental is casually referred to as a beat, and its composer is casually referred to as a producer or beatmaker. In the studio, however, a hip hop producer also functions as a traditional record producer, being the person who is ultimately responsible for the final sound of a recording.

In this weeks tutorial, I am giving you my top tip for NEW EDM PRODUCERS. If you are looking for a top tip to get your productions to that next level, or your first step to making a track then this first EDM lesson will be able to help. These are top tips for producers!
In my opinion, the best bit of advice for new EDM producers is to focus on getting your drums correct. Learning how to make a great drum beat will kick start your track and make your first few tracks much more interesting.
There are two types of drum beat that I believe all different types of EDM fall into. There is the classic "four on the floor", and then there is the classic hip-hop beat. All other types of EDM music will fall into those two categories.
The program I am using is Ableton. In this video, I run you through the two different types of drum beat and the stages you should go through when you begin every single track.

In this weeks tutorial, I am giving you my top tip for NEW EDM PRODUCERS. If you are looking for a top tip to get your productions to that next level, or your first step to making a track then this first EDM lesson will be able to help. These are top tips for producers!
In my opinion, the best bit of advice for new EDM producers is to focus on getting your drums correct. Learning how to make a great drum beat will kick start your track and make your first few tracks much more interesting.
There are two types of drum beat that I believe all different types of EDM fall into. There is the classic "four on the floor", and then there is the classic hip-hop beat. All other types of EDM music will fall into those two categories.
The program I am using is Ableton. In this video, I run you through the two different types of drum beat and the stages you should go through when you begin every single track.

Our Kids DJ / Producer Program is a fun educational program in which students learn about music by studying DJing and electronic music production. By mixing records with Serato and producing their own beats and sounds with Ableton Live, young students learn the fundamentals of modern performance and composition and are encouraged to express their creativity through music.
In this video, Dubspot instructors DJ Reborn and JP Solis take us through the specific courses that make up the Kids DJ / Producer Program:
Hit the Decks: DJing for Kids is where kids get to learn the basics of DJing, mixing and scratching vinyl records as well as digital DJing with a computer. At the end of this class, students will come away with their own recorded mix and fuller understanding of the fundamentals involved in DJing.
The Beat Generation course exposes kids to the creative art of music production using Ableton Live, one of the most advanced yet most intuitive production tools available. At the conclusion of the course, students will come away with their own original song and one remix, produced in Ableton.

Track (rail transport)
The track on a railway or railroad, also known as the permanent way, is the structure consisting of the rails, fasteners, railroad ties (sleepers, British English) and ballast (or slab track), plus the underlying subgrade. It enables trains to move by providing a dependable surface for their wheels to roll. For clarity it is often referred to as railway track (British English and UIC terminology) or railroad track (predominantly in the United States). Tracks where electric trains or electric trams run are equipped with an electrification system such as an overhead electrical power line or an additional electrified rail.
The term permanent way also refers to the track in addition to lineside structures such as fences etc.
