Jackie Congedo is a reporter for WLEX-TV, the NBC affiliate and first place news station in Lexington, Kentucky . She joined the team in December of '08, and was quickly promoted to report for the station's number-one rated 11 p.m. newscast. While in college, Jackie spent a summer as an International Radio and Television Society summer fellow, interning at CBS Network News in New York.
After graduating from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism, Jackie went on to report in Washington D.C. for the area's only 24- hour cable news station, NewsChannel 8. She also appeared regularly on NewsChannel 8′s sister station, WJLA ABC 7 News. While in the nation's capitol, she covered everything from Pope Benedict XVI's visit to D.C. to the recent 2008 presidential race.
But Jackie's passion for reporting stems from the stories that are not as high-profile. Her coverage of a community college student's enduring struggle for equal access at his school brought enough attention to the issue that school officials eventually made additional accommodations for him. Her ongoing coverage of a string of brutal murders in D.C.'s southeast neighborhood shed light on the need for checkpoints on the streets.
In 2009, Jackie was nominated "Best TV Reporter" by the Kentucky Associated Press. Her coverage of a Nicholas County train derailment was also nominated in the "Best Spot News" category.
When she's not storytelling, you can find Jackie volunteering at Shriner's Hospital for Children. She loves to sing, and has developed a gym habit that works to offset her affection for food.

Lexington, Kentucky
Lexington, consolidated with Fayette County, is the second-largest city in Kentucky and the 61st largest in the United States. Known as the "Horse Capital of the World", it is the heart of the state's Bluegrass region. With a mayor-alderman form of government, it is one of two cities in Kentucky designated by the state as first-class; the other is the state's largest city of Louisville. In the 2014 U.S. Census Estimate, the city's population was 310,797, anchoring a metropolitan area of 489,435 people and a combined statistical area of 708,677 people.
Lexington ranks tenth among US cities in college education rate, with 39.5% of residents having at least a bachelor's degree. It is the location of the Kentucky Horse Park, The Red Mile and Keeneland race courses, Rupp Arena, the world's largest basketball-specific arena, Transylvania University, the University of Kentucky and Bluegrass Community & Technical College.
History
This area of fertile soil and abundant wildlife was long occupied by varying tribes of Native Americans. European explorers began to trade with them but settlers did not come in force until the late 18th century.

Plot: In 994 A.D., Goliath and the few remaining gargoyles help defend the Scottish castle where they live. Jackie Congedo is a reporter for WLEX-TV, the NBC affiliate and first place news station in Lexington, Kentucky . She joined the team in December of '08, and was quickly promoted to report for the station's number-one rated 11 p.m. newscast. Often, you'll see Jackie covering breaking news during early evening news shows. If you stick around 'till 11, you'll catch her weaving sound, video, and words into an artfully told, compelling story.
While in college, Jackie spent a summer as an International Radio and Television Society summer fellow, interning at CBS Network News in New York.
After graduating from the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism, Jackie went on to report in Washington D.C. for the area's only 24- hour cable news station, NewsChannel 8. She also appeared regularly on NewsChannel 8′s sister station, WJLA ABC 7 News. While in the nation's capitol, she covered everything from Pope Benedict XVI's visit to D.C. to the recent 2008 presidential race.
But Jackie's passion for reporting stems from the stories that are not as high-profile. Her coverage of a community college student's enduring struggle for equal access at his school brought enough attention to the issue that school officials eventually made additional accommodations for him. Her ongoing coverage of a string of brutal murders in D.C.'s southeast neighborhood shed light on the need for checkpoints on the streets.
In 2009, Jackie was nominated "Best TV Reporter" by the Kentucky Associated Press. Her coverage of a Nicholas County train derailment was also nominated in the "Best Spot News" category.
When she's not storytelling, you can find Jackie volunteering at Shriner's Hospital for Children. She loves to sing, and has developed a gym habit that works to offset her affection for food.

At 162,000 drivers, Uber’s employee base is triple that of Delta Airlines. So where does Uber lag in the algorithm? It does not have a maternal attitude towards employees, as it has access to the cheapest source of on-demand labor without unions or health insurance. While that is good for users and the company, Scott Galloway questions its benefits for society.

Scott is a Clinical Professor at the NYU Stern School of Business where he teaches brand strategy and digital marketing, and is the Founder of L2, a member-based business intelligence and education firm. In 2012, Scott was named “One of The World’s 50 Best Business School Professors” (Poets & Quants). He appears regularly on Bloomberg News as a Contributing Editor.
Scott is also the founder of Firebrand Partners, a firm that has invested more than $1 billion in U.S. consumer and media companies; Red Envelope, an Internet-based consumer gift retailer (2007 revenues: $100 million); and Prophet, a brand strategy consultancy that employs 400 professionals across the United States, Europe and Asia. Scott was elected to the World Economic Forum’s “Global Leaders of Tomorrow,” which recognizes individuals “whose accomplishments have had impact on a global level.”

Summary:
Bob Marley had gone from "critic's darling" and "buzz-driven roots rocker" to bona fide reggae superstar by the time he arrived in Oakland, California in the fall of 1979 to perform this show with his band, The Wailers. Record executive Chris Blackwell might have discovered Marley in his native Jamaica and exposed him to a massive global audience, but it was rock icons like Eric Clapton, who were singing both his praises and his songs, that helped forward Marley's popularity in America.
This Marley show, recorded less than two years before his untimely death from cancer, is similar to the extended performance found on 1978's Babylon by Bus double live album. Marley lived for the stage, and this show is ample proof that he was one of the most electrifying performers ever to emerge from the international music scene. Like another falling star from an earlier era, Jimi Hendrix, Marley shot across the pop culture landscape like a flaming comet - and before he could be fully recognized for his artistic brilliance - was gone. That's at least one reason why his legacy has elevated him to near mythical proportions.
Opening with "Positive Vibration," this show contains 19 classic Marley songs, including "Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)," "I Shot The Sheriff," "No Woman No Cry," "Exodus," "Is This Love?," "Jammin'" and "Get Up Stand Up." The Wailers, though none of its original members except Marley remained by 1979, play rock solid reggae rhythms behind his impassioned vocals. Keyboardists Tyrone Downie and Earl Lindo have incredible chops, and are only outdone by longtime Wailers guitarist Al Anderson. Enhancing this stellar show is a fantastic guest performance by guitarist Ron Wood of The Rolling Stones for the six-song encore.
More than a quarter century after his death, Bob Marley's popularity with outsiders and rebels, coupled with his legacy as a musical genius and status as a pop culture icon, only grows and grows with each passing year. This show is a great example of why Marley's enduring musical catalog remains one of the most exciting and influential in the history of popular recordings.

Summary:
Bob Marley had gone from "critic's darling" and "buzz-driven roots rocker" to bona fide reggae superstar by the time he arrived in Oakland, California in the fall of 1979 to perform this show with his band, The Wailers. Record executive Chris Blackwell might have discovered Marley in his native Jamaica and exposed him to a massive global audience, but it was rock icons like Eric Clapton, who were singing both his praises and his songs, that helped forward Marley's popularity in America.
This Marley show, recorded less than two years before his untimely death from cancer, is similar to the extended performance found on 1978's Babylon by Bus double live album. Marley lived for the stage, and this show is ample proof that he was one of the most electrifying performers ever to emerge from the international music scene. Like another falling star from an earlier era, Jimi Hendrix, Marley shot across the pop culture landscape like a flaming comet - and before he could be fully recognized for his artistic brilliance - was gone. That's at least one reason why his legacy has elevated him to near mythical proportions.
Opening with "Positive Vibration," this show contains 19 classic Marley songs, including "Them Belly Full (But We Hungry)," "I Shot The Sheriff," "No Woman No Cry," "Exodus," "Is This Love?," "Jammin'" and "Get Up Stand Up." The Wailers, though none of its original members except Marley remained by 1979, play rock solid reggae rhythms behind his impassioned vocals. Keyboardists Tyrone Downie and Earl Lindo have incredible chops, and are only outdone by longtime Wailers guitarist Al Anderson. Enhancing this stellar show is a fantastic guest performance by guitarist Ron Wood of The Rolling Stones for the six-song encore.
More than a quarter century after his death, Bob Marley's popularity with outsiders and rebels, coupled with his legacy as a musical genius and status as a pop culture icon, only grows and grows with each passing year. This show is a great example of why Marley's enduring musical catalog remains one of the most exciting and influential in the history of popular recordings.

About 200 athletes from all 22 sports were represented including our talented cheer and dance teams. Our goal is to provide an education in the theoretical and technical aspects of neurological surgery so that the resident will be equipped for either clinical practice or academic neurosurgery.
The Neurosurgery residency training program seeks to bring out the best in our trainees and provide the skills necessary for a successful career as a neurosurgeon. The Department of Neurosurgery provides care through the UK Chandler Hospital, UK Children’s Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, and the Cooper Drive VA Medical Center of Lexington, KY.
Our objective is to provide an educational experience that will enable our graduates to have the skills required to perform the full range of neurosurgical procedures. We expect our graduates to make sound clinical decision, be familiar with what is ongoing in the field and to act responsibly and capably as they care for patients.
The University of Kentucky basic science departments are ranked in the top 20 percent of NIH funded programs and offer opportunities for research experience. Our residents have the opportunity to learn teaching skills by participating in the neuroanatomy course their second year and conferences throughout their training.
There are research opportunities available for up to one year for neurosurgery residents. Those offering guidance and technical support for residents involved in research include neurosurgery research personnel in SCoBIRC , The University of Kentucky Morris K. Udall Parkinson’s Disease Center of Excellence, Neuroanatomy/Neurobiology Departments, and the Neurosurgery Department research faculty. The PGY-4 resident will ordinarily acquire up to 6 months of research experience by either working in a basic laboratory or completing a clinical research project.
Inpatient neurosurgical training occurs at both the UK and VA Medical Centers. The UK Medical Center has a 10 bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. Residents learn the concepts of Neurocritical care during their rotations through the unit. Dedicated neuro-intensivists are involved in the management of all of the patients in the unit and the Critical Care Service. Both the University and VA have resident staffed outpatient clinics.
In addition to ward rotations, the residents spend time on rotations in pathology, radiology, anatomy, neuro critical-care, and research. Residents may choose additional elective time in research or a subspecialty outside rotation such as pediatric neurosurgery at the University of Alabama.
Regularly scheduled teaching conferences allow the residents to participate in the process of assessing and diagnosing neurologic diseases. Monthly conferences include Grand Rounds, topic review, and case discussions. In addition, faculty-run review sessions provide the background information needed for a successful neurosurgical practice as well as succeeding on the yearly in-service examinations and the American Board of Neurological Surgery examination held in March.

Lexington, KY is located in the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. As the second largest city in the state, the city has quite a lot to offer from a great downtown area; a visitor's center with a sculpture of "Big Lex", a legendary blue horse from the area; and the University of Kentucky. I check out the downtown area as well as a small part of the University of Kentucky. Although I do not cover it in this video, I would like to check out the Kentucky Horse Park someday which is located north of I-64/I-75 north of Lexington. That is some potent stuff.
After our whiskey adventure we continue towards Louisville, crossing through beautiful rural Kentucky and Bardstown, self-proclaimed the Whisky Capital of the World.
We are staying at the Louisville Metro KOA, which is actually on the Indiana side of the Ohio River in the city of Clarksville. Here we get to spend some time with my cousin Juan and his wife Thelma. Cousin Juan has lived here most of his life in Louisville and Thelma was born and raised here so they know the town pretty well. On the ride around the city they share a lifetime of memories with us, going back to the 1960’s.
No visit to Louisville is complete without going to Churchill Downs, home of the Kentucky Derby, and although we skip the museum this time, we enter the building and go into some of the gardens. We also have breakfast at Wagner’s Pharmacy, which is actually a diner, very popular with horsemen since the 1920’s. The walls are covered with pictures of horses from the many years of horse racing tradition.
We also tour Old Louisville Historic District, particularly the St. James Court Area. It has the largest contiguous collection of Victorian era homes in the United States. We also drive on Bardstown road, in the Highlands neighborhood, which is famous for the numerous bars, night clubs and restaurant in the area. After an afternoon nap to recharge batteries we are joined by Juan’s sister, cousin María for dinner at Louisville’s best Cuban restaurant called Havana Rumba.
