Succesful Swedish actor/director Sjöström started working in Hollywood in 1924 using the anglicised name Victor Seastrom. "The Wind" was his last silent film. Sjöström turned out to be uncomfortable directing talkies and soon returned to Sweden, where he would much later star in Igmar Bergman's "Till glädje" (To Joy) and "Smultronstället" (Wild Strawberries).

This pairing of cinematic masterpiece by director Victor Sjöström and the sounds of Jason Roberts at the organ are sure to be a winning combination. “The Wind,” starring Lillian Gish, was one of the last great silent films. Lillian Gish herself was an active member of St. Bart’s, and is buried in the memorial chapel. The silent film era lasted only a little over a decade. During this time, when recordings could not yet be synchronized to video, organists and pianists cultivated the art of silent film accompaniment. Although in large theaters scores were composed for orchestras to play, most often film accompaniments were improvised. This art is mostly lost today, but occasionally there are opportunities to experience this exciting art form. Experience the 1928 film “The Wind” as it would have been viewed originally—with live, improvised organ accompaniment. This pairing of cinematic masterpiece by director Victor Sjöström and the sounds of Jason Roberts at the organ are sure to be a winning combination. “The Wind,” starring Lillian Gish, was one of the last great silent films. Lillian Gish herself was an active member of St. Bart’s, and is buried in the memorial chapel.
The silent film era lasted only a little over a decade. During this time, when recordings could not yet be synchronized to video, organists and pianists cultivated the art of silent film accompaniment. Although in large theaters scores were composed for orchestras to play, most often film accompaniments were improvised.
This art is mostly lost today, but occasionally there are opportunities to experience this exciting art form.

Yusuf Islam (born Steven Demetre Georgiou, 21 July 1948), commonly known by his former stage name Cat Stevens, is a British singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, humanitarian, and education philanthropist. His 1967 debut album reached the top 10 in the UK, and the album's title song "Matthew and Son" charted at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. His albums Tea for the Tillerman (1970) and Teaser and the Firecat (1971) were both certified triple platinum in the US by the RIAA.
His 1972 album Catch Bull at Four spent three weeks at number one on the Billboard 200, and fifteen weeks at number one in the Australian ARIA Charts. He earned two ASCAP songwriting awards in 2005 and 2006 for "The First Cut Is the Deepest", and the song has been a hit for four different artists. His other hit songs include "Father and Son", "Wild World", "Peace Train", "Moonshadow", and "Morning Has Broken". In 2007 he received the British Academy's Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection.
In December 1977, Stevens converted to Islam and adopted the name Yusuf Islam the following year. In 1979, he auctioned all his guitars for charity and left his music career to devote himself to educational and philanthropic causes in the Muslim community. He was embroiled in a long-running controversy regarding comments he made in 1989 about the death fatwa on author Salman Rushdie. He has received two honorary doctorates and awards for promoting peace from two organisations founded by Mikhail Gorbachev.
In 2006, he returned to pop music – releasing his first album of new pop songs in 28 years, titled “An Other Cup”. With that release and for subsequent ones, he dropped the surname "Islam" from the album cover art – using the stage name "Yusuf" as a mononym. In 2009, he released the album “Roadsinger”, and in 2014, he released the album “Tell 'Em I'm Gone”, and began his first US tour since 1978. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.

What is ASMR?
In my subjective view, ASMR is 2 things: a sensation and a medium (like music for example).
The sensation itself (ASMR) stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
ASMR videos, the medium, are not only meant to help induce the sensation or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety, stress, headaches, insomnia, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more. It is quite therapeutic, for both the creator and recipient, not much different than the mediums of music and painting.
Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy the videos for their calming and sleepy affect.

Η συνέπειά του Κεν Λόουτς, να στέκεται διαρκώς και πάντα στο πλευρό της εργατικής τάξης, δε διαμόρφωσε μόνον τη θεματολογία του, αλλά και τη φόρμα του έργου του. Το σύνολο της δουλιάς του στηρίζεται στο σοσιαλιστικό ρεαλισμό: καθαρότητα, λαϊκότητα, θετικοί ήρωες, εμπιστοσύνη στο λαό, σοσιαλιστικός ουμανισμός... «Ο Ανεμος Χορεύει το Κριθάρι» είναι ένα ακόμα δείγμα, των πάγιων καλλιτεχνικών και πολιτικών προσανατολισμών του.
Ο Λόουτς, επιθυμώντας να βοηθήσει στον τομέα της συνείδησης, βάζει τον κεντρικό ήρωα της ταινίας του να απευθύνεται σε κάποιους συντρόφους του, οι οποίοι πίστεψαν στην κολοβή εθνική ανεξαρτησία, που τους πρόσφερε η Αγγλία και ήθελαν να καταθέσουν τα όπλα, λέγοντας κάτι σημαντικό που μας αφορά όλους (και εμάς που, υποτίθεται, τελειώσαμε με το ζήτημα της εθνικής ανεξαρτησίας και είμαστε ανεξάρτητο εθνικά κράτος, πια): «Συμφωνήσαμε, λέει ο κεντρικός ήρωας, να σταματήσουμε τον ένοπλο αγώνα μόνον όταν ολοκληρωθεί η εθνική ανεξαρτησία. Και η εθνική ανεξαρτησία δεν περιλαμβάνει μόνον τους ανθρώπους, αλλά και τα χωράφια και τα εργοστάσια, ολόκληρο τον πλούτο της χώρας. Η συνέπειά του Κεν Λόουτς, να στέκεται διαρκώς και πάντα στο πλευρό της εργατικής τάξης, δε διαμόρφωσε μόνον τη θεματολογία του, αλλά και τη φόρμα του έργου του. Ο Λόουτς, επιθυμώντας να βοηθήσει στον τομέα της συνείδησης, βάζει τον κεντρικό ήρωα της ταινίας του να απευθύνεται σε κάποιους συντρόφους του, οι οποίοι πίστεψαν στην κολοβή εθνική ανεξαρτησία, που τους πρόσφερε η Αγγλία και ήθελαν να καταθέσουν τα όπλα, λέγοντας κάτι σημαντικό που μας αφορά όλους (και εμάς που, υποτίθεται, τελειώσαμε με το ζήτημα της εθνικής ανεξαρτησίας και είμαστε ανεξάρτητο εθνικά κράτος, πια): «Συμφωνήσαμε, λέει ο κεντρικός ήρωας, να σταματήσουμε τον ένοπλο αγώνα μόνον όταν ολοκληρωθεί η εθνική ανεξαρτησία. Και η εθνική ανεξαρτησία δεν περιλαμβάνει μόνον τους ανθρώπους, αλλά και τα χωράφια και τα εργοστάσια, ολόκληρο τον πλούτο της χώρας.
