Speech

Speech is the vocalized form of human communication. It is based upon the syntactic combination of lexicals and names that are drawn from very large (usually about 1,000 different words) vocabularies. Each spoken word is created out of the phonetic combination of a limited set of vowel and consonant speech sound units. These vocabularies, the syntax which structures them, and their set of speech sound units differ, creating the existence of many thousands of different types of mutually unintelligible human languages. Most human speakers are able to communicate in two or more of them, hence being polyglots. The vocal abilities that enable humans to produce speech also provide humans with the ability to sing.

A gestural form of human communication exists for the deaf in the form of sign language. Speech in some cultures has become the basis of a written language, often one that differs in its vocabulary, syntax and phonetics from its associated spoken one, a situation called diglossia. Speech in addition to its use in communication, it is suggested by some psychologists such as Vygotsky is internally used by mental processes to enhance and organize cognition in the form of an interior monologue.

Akhil Akkineni

Akhil Akkineni (born 8 April 1994) is an Indian film actor who works in the Telugu film industry. The son of actors Nagarjuna and Amala, Akhil made his acting debut as a baby who leaves his home in the comedy film Sisindri (1994), aged one. Born into a film family on 8 April 1994 in San Jose, California, Akhil is the younger son of Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala (née Mukherjee); his elder half-brother Naga Chaitanya is also an actor. He is the grandson of actor and film producer Akkineni Nageswara Rao. He is of Telugu descent on his father's side, and on his mother's side he is of Bengali and Irish descent.

Akhil started his education at Chaitanya Vidyalaya, before heading to study in Australia for two years and returned to complete his studies at Oakridge International School, Hyderabad. Akhil revealed that he chose to pursue acting as a career aged 16, and thus turned down his father's request for him to study business management and instead enrolled in an acting course at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. He is also the captain of the CCL cricket team, Telugu Warriors

Annapurna Studios

Annapurna Studios (Telugu: అన్నపూర్ణ స్టూడియోస్) is a leading Film & Television studio and production house located in Hyderabad, India. It was established in 1975 by the late Telugu actor Nageswara Rao Akkineni[నాగేశ్వరరావు అక్కినేని]. It provides various production facilities, including sound stages for set construction, outdoor sets, editing, dubbing and Digital Intermediate suites. The non-profit Annapurna International School of Film and Media is also situated in the premises of Annapurna Studios.

Foundation

Actor Nageswara Rao Akkineni always wished to move the Telugu film industry from Madras to Hyderabad (now in Telangana) as this is where its audience predominantly was. With the support of the government, he started the studio primarily to encourage this migration. The studio was inaugurated by the then President of India Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed on 14 January, 1976.

Studio floors and backlots

The first Studio floor at Annapurna was built in 1976 and spans an area of 11,000 sq ft. The second studio was built in 1978 and was dedicated to the workers who had made the construction of the studio possible. This was followed by the construction of two more studios spanning 10,000 sft each and several outdoor locations, including a Manduva house (village house), police station, hospital, the Manam house, and several other landscaped areas which were commonly used in many films and television shoots.

Aditya Music

Aditya Music India Private Limited is music company in India. It owns a music label Aditya Music. Aditya Music has its presence in Tollywood, the Telugu Film Industry. It is headquartered at Hyderabad, India. Aditya Music is the record label preferred by most filmmakers in Tollywood and they eventually became a household name in the film industry of Andhra Pradesh Telangana.

Overview

Aditya Music was established in late 1990s by Umesh Gupta who now serves as Managing Director of the company. Aditya Music was primarily into distribution and marketing of music of other music labels for the state of Andhra Pradesh. Later they started acquiring their own music rights. For the manufacture of audio cassettes, they started a plant in 2000.

Aditya Music owns music rights for majority of films in Tollywood. It recently acquired few labels such as Shiva Musicals, Leo, Maruti Music, Echo, Sohan Music, Supreme, Pyramid Audio and accounts to the largest player in Telugu film music. It is member of PPL India and IPRS.

Akkineni Nagarjuna

Akkineni Nagarjuna (born 29 August 1959) is an Indian film actor, producer and television presenter who works primarily in the Telugu Cinema, and Television. He has acted in over ninety films as an actor in a lead, supporting and cameo roles, including Bollywood and Tamil films. He has received two National Film Awards, nine state Nandi Awards and three Filmfare Awards South. He received critical reception for his performance in biographical and historical films.

He enacted the role of 15th century composer Annamacharya in the 1997 film Annamayya; as Yavakri (the son of the ascetic Bharadwaja) in the 2002 film Agni Varsha; as Major Padmapani Acharya in the 2003 war film, LOC Kargil; as 17th-century composer Kancherla Gopanna in the 2006 film Sri Ramadasu; as Sai Baba of Shirdi in the 2012 film Shirdi Sai; and as Chandaludu (Lord Siva in disguise) in the 2013 film Jagadguru Adi Sankara.

In 1989, he was starred in the Maniratnam directed Romantic drama film, Geetanjali, which won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. In the same year, he acted in Siva, an action blockbuster directed by Ram Gopal Varma, premiered at the 13th International Film Festival of India. In 1990, he subsequently made his Bollywood debut with the Hindi remake of the same film titled Shiva, and tasted success. In 1997, he received the National Film Award for producing Ninne Pelladata. In 1998, He received the National Film Award-Special Mention for his performance in the historical film Annamayya.
