Mount Royal (French: mont Royal, IPA: [mɔ̃ ʁwajal]) is a large hill or small mountain in the city of Montreal, immediately west of downtown Montreal, Quebec, Canada, the city to which it gave its name.
The hill is part of the Monteregian Hills situated between the Laurentians and the Appalachians. It gave its Latin name, Mons Regius, to the Monteregian chain.
The hill consists of three peaks: Colline de la Croix (or Mont Royal proper) at 233 m (764 ft), Colline d'Outremont (or Mount Murray, in the borough of Outremont) at 211 m (692 ft), and Westmount Summit at 201 m (659 ft) elevation above mean sea level.
Some tourist guidebooks, such as the Michelin Guide to Montréal, state that Mount Royal is an extinct volcano. The mountain is not a traditional volcano as such. However, it is the deep extension of a vastly eroded ancient volcanic complex, which was probably active about 125 million years ago. The mountain was created when the North American Plate moved westward over the New England hotspot, along with the other mountains of the Monteregian Hills, by a process known as intrusion: The magma intruded into the sedimentary rocks underneath the area, producing at least eight igneous stocks. The main rock type is a gabbro composed of pyroxene, olivine and variable amounts of plagioclase. During and after the main stage of intrusion, the gabbros and surrounding rocks were intruded by a series of volcanic dikes and sills. Subsequently, the surrounding softer sedimentary rock was eroded, leaving behind the resistant igneous rock that forms the mountain.
Royal Park is located in the western suburbs of Adelaide. It is home to a large Polish community, as evidenced by the establishment of St Stanislaus of Cracow Catholic Church. Other ethnic groups represented include Italian, Croatian, Bosnian, Irish, Macedonian and Greek residents. It used to contain large numbers of public housing trusts but, in recent years, has seen large-scale developments that include private housing and a soon-to-be-built retirement village.

Mount Royal is a mountain in the north of the city of Montreal, Quebec. From August 12 to 14, 2009 we spent three days in Montreal, primarily to watch the Rogers Cup, one of the premier events on the ATP Tour. Given that we are ardent tennis fans and have been attending the Rogers Cup in Toronto for many years, we decided to expand our tennis horizons and travel to Montreal this year. We had a chance to see the world elite of mens tennis players competing in Montreals Uniprix Stadium which is located in Jarry Park. We spent two days at the stadium with our matinee tickets and saw all top 10 tennis players either compete or warm up on one of the side courts. Competitors included world number 1 Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Andy Roddick and many more. Attending a tennis tournament mid week is great because you see so much action, both in the main...
Tam Tam is a French word for Hand Drum. Every Sunday from May to Sept/October, at the base of Mont Royal, there is a free tam-tam event. People bring their drums, hackie sacs, dancing skills and other carnival type activities and everyone is able to participate. It has a seriously cool vibe and is definitely worth checking out!! Just walk along Rue Rachel to the base of the Mountain...you can't miss it!

Day 2 (February 19, 2011) of our Montreal trip started with a culinary walking tour of Old Montreal. Our expert guide Micheline started us off among the stately former bank buildings on Rue St-Jacques with a peak into L'Hotel, a hotel-cum-art gallery owned by one of the founders of Guess. After a visit of the World Trade Center with its fabulous fountain and its prominently displayed piece of the Berlin Wall, we walked through the atmospheric streets of Old Montreal and enjoyed some foie gras, had a cheese tasting and visited a shop that sells only maple products, a Quebec delicacy. In the afternoon we were in for a real treat: snow-shoeing on Mont Royal. Although I am real sports nut and love winter sports, I had never snow-shoed before, but our young guide Eric from Les Amis de la Mo...

Jacob Burns meets up with The Strays in their backyard of Parc du Mont Royal with the intent of speaking to them about the Patchwork Adams experiment they had conducted not all that long ago and about Daliah's recent discovery of their empty grave. The group investigate the local area, following a peculiar scent into the nearby cemetery where it leads Jacob and The Strays to a locked mausoleum with something trying to break out of a nearby coffin...
Jacob goes to meet with Tamara at The Stray's territory in Parc du Mont Royal to update her on the whole situation involving Magadon Quebec and the apparent werewolves staying at his hotel. Maurice eventually shows his face, offering his opinion on the situation and what might be the best course of action for the Sabbat of Montreal to take before Roland Jr comes rolling in with an urgent report for Daliah...
