The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP; French: Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC), literally 'Royal Gendarmerie of Canada'; colloquially known as the Mounties, and internally as 'the Force') is both a federal and a national police force of Canada. The RCMP provides law enforcement at a federal level in Canada, and also on a contract basis to the three territories, eight of Canada's provinces (the RCMP does not provide provincial or municipal policing in either Ontario or Quebec), more than 190 municipalities, 184 aboriginal communities, and three international airports.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) was formed in 1920 by the merger of the Royal Northwest Mounted Police (RNWMP, founded in 1873) with the Dominion Police (founded 1868). The former was originally named the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP), and was given the Royal prefix by King Edward VII in 1904. Much of the present day organization's symbolism has been inherited from its days as the NWMP and RNWMP, including the distinctive Red Serge uniform, paramilitary heritage, and mythos as a frontier force. The RCMP/GRC wording is specifically protected under the Trade-marks Act.
Jacques Rougeau Jr. (born June 13, 1960) is a retired French-Canadian professional wrestler best known for his appearances in the 1980s and 1990s with the World Wrestling Federation. Rougeau began his career by wrestling under his real name, as part of a tag team with his brother Raymond Rougeau, with whom he is a former WWF Tag Team Champion (albeit unofficially). Later Rougeau began a singles career where he wrestled as The Mountie, winning the Intercontinental Championship once. Later still, he formed the tag team The Quebecers with Pierre Ouellet, and won the Tag Team Championship three more times.
The Rougeau family as a whole has been very involved in professional wrestling; Jacques is the younger brother of Raymond Rougeau, the son of Jacques Rougeau, Sr., and the nephew of Jean "Johnny" Rougeau, all of whom have worked as professional wrestlers and promoters of wrestling matches. Jacques' sister Johanne also promoted wrestling matches in Montreal, and brother Armand wrestled for smaller federations.
Epcot is the second of four theme parks built at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida, near the city of Orlando. It opened as EPCOT Center (Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow) on October 1, 1982, and spans 300 acres (120 ha), more than twice the size of the Magic Kingdom park. It is dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, namely technological innovation and international culture, and is often referred to as a "permanent World's Fair." In 2014, the park hosted approximately 11.45 million guests, ranking it the third most visited theme park in North America and the sixth most visited theme park in the world. The park is represented by Spaceship Earth, a geodesic sphere that also serves as an attraction. Epcot was known as EPCOT Center until 1994, when it was later renamed Epcot '94, then Epcot '95, now commonly known simply as Epcot.
The theme park opened on October 1, 1982. The dedication plaque near the entrance states:
Epcot Center is inspired by Walt Disney's creative genius. Here, human achievements are celebrated through imagination, the wonders of enterprise, and concepts of a future that promises new and exciting benefits for all.
Lonely Planet is the largest travel guide book publisher in the world. The company is owned by American billionaire Brad Kelley's NC2 Media, which bought it in 2013 from BBC Worldwide for US$77 million (the equivalent of £45.5 million in May 2014) after it was valued at US$250 million in 2008.
Originally called "Lonely Planet Publications", the company changed its name to "Lonely Planet" in July 2009 to reflect its broad travel industry coverage and an emphasis on digital products. After the Let's Go travel guide series that was founded in 1960, the Lonely Planet books were the second series of travel books aimed at backpackers and other low-cost travellers. As of 2011, the company had sold 120 million books since inception and by early 2014, it had sold around 11 million units of its travel apps.
As of 2014, Lonely Planet's largest office is located in Footscray, a suburb of Melbourne, Australia, but its Franklin, Tennessee, United States (U.S.) office is the company's de facto headquarters. Other Lonely Planet offices are spread throughout the world, in locations such as London, United Kingdom (U.K.); Beijing, China; and Delhi, India.

Plot: Sgt. Conniston and his alcoholic guide O'Toole are on the trail of an escaped murderer named Keith. When they catch up with him in the farthest reaches of Northern Canada, Keith turns out to be a dead ringer for Conniston. On the way back, the sled overturns, Keith grabs the gun and leaves them to die in the snow. After second thoughts he comes back and brings them to safety at an RCMP emergency cabin. Conniston dies of a frozen lung. O'Toole becomes convinced of Keith's innocence and refuses to take him in. Instead he helps Keith disguise himself as Conniston to escape. Before he can do so, he is spotted by Mounties looking for Conniston and brought back to Conniston's fort. During the time Conniston was gone, it was discovered that Keith was innocent of the charges. Still Keith can't reveal his true identity for fear the Mounties will think he killed Conniston. Keith plans to keep up the charade only long enough to escape but Miriam, who Conniston had unsuccessfully pursued, is intrigued by the 'changed' Conniston and falls for him and he for her.

EPCOT Center opened to the public on this first day of October in 1982. Thirty three years later the park’s original “permanent World’s Fair” theme has suffered a bad case of mission creep. But for RetroDisneyWorld fans the chance to step into EPCOT’s first decade is one we relish. Just such an opportunity presented itself to us when we acquired a ¾” videotape (commercially known as U-Matic) containing footage of EPCOT Center’s World Showcase. U-Matic tapes are larger than VHS (which was 1/2” tape) and were the standard video used in commercial broadcast television stations until they gave way to digital media. This particular U-Matic tape was issued by Walt Disney World for use by the media as “B-Roll” footage. B-Roll is the footage that is used during voiceovers to illustrate a stor...

The RCMP is the latest group to create a video in the "It Gets Better" theme -- aimed primarily at youth. Championed by the Surrey RCMP Youth Unit, the 20 participants taped interviews in the summer of 2012. The video was finalized, by BC RCMP Multi-media services in the fall of 2012. The video features adults who share their stories of their struggles, with the aim of building a bridge of understanding for youth undergoing similar experiences. Each of the participants tell moving and candid stories of their doubts, fears, and struggles, and their eventual joy of knowing that life, indeed, does get better. Support for the project was received from police officers and civilian employees across the Lower Mainland of British Columbia including Surrey, Burnaby, UBC, Richmond, the Integra...

Concerns are being raised on how RCMP officers are trained and equipped, following the deaths of three Mounties in Moncton. The Mounted Police Professional Association says many detachments don't have hard body armour or high-powered assault rifles.

Con el calor de una sonrisa
Y el perfume de la brisa
Llegas tú, llegas tú
Pequeña como los luceros
Y diciéndome un te quiero
Llegas tú, llegas tú
No sé si estás
Pensando en realidad
Que eres mi verdad
Que cada día más
Te quiero
Ven enseñame a soñar
Pues sabes que al marchar
No te podré abrazar (2x)
Si todo el mundo fuera mío
Las estrellas ó el rocío
Fueras tú, fueras tú
Y dando tumbos al vacío
Volaríamos unidos
Porque yo, porque yo
No sé si estás
Pensando en realidad
Que eres mi verdad
Que cada día más
