October Political Prisoner Birthday Cake

Hello Friends and Comrades,

  1. Here is the political prisoner birthday poster for October.(11″x17″ PDF, 3.7MB) It is also available in color!(11″x17″ PDF, 3.6MB) Print it out and plaster your community, both in commemoration of these freedom fighters and to advertise locally for a political prisoner letter writing night. Get together with some friends in your town to send birthday cards to these fighters in our struggle. It’s an easy way to help remind them that they aren’t forgotten. If you make one, remember—don’t use anything like white-out, stickers, tape or glitter on it. We also recommend that you put a return name and address and their name and prisoner number on the card, lest the authorities “lose” the envelope and forget where it is going. If you would like to add a birthday or sign up for our poster mailing list (not a listserv, one email per month), or if you would like to contribute in another way to increasing the profile of US political prisoners, email us at ppbirthday@riseup.net.

As Anarchist Radio Berlin we present an interview about the "flower holiday" in Azerbaijan and the imprisoned anarchists.

From Kansas City ABC

Comrades,

I realize it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. That’s my fault. Hopefully, you’ll forgive me.

In my last post, I made a plea for Anarchists in Space. Since then, I’ve received letters from people who support the concept and even some just speaking about the concept. I think this is good. It’s a start. However, it’s not an end. I want to develop a means to an end to transform my and others’ dream into a reality.

Open letter to compañerxs.

Note: The use of the word prison in this text refers to all artificial environments that domesticate us so as to insert us by force into the capitalist system of production; this is a contribution to deepen the reflection of all living beings in the hands of economic powers and the technological project…

Compas, I greet you with insurrectionary love, that these words of war may reach you; greeting as well the coming days of insurrection, as ideas bloom in the fields like flowers we should not stop tending. We do not know if there will be a victory, but what we do know is that they will not occupy our dreams and our lives…

The only truly free moment is when we fight for freedom, because we prefer to die rather than accept this way of life, and without realizing it we are already free, because nothing occupies our minds except the sole desire to set fire to reality…

Anarchists in Space Patch Inspired by Casey Brezik

Anarchist prisoner Casey Brezik is currently being held in the hole and is in need of support. He has been held there since July 17th for reasons that are as of yet unknown to his supporters.

As of August 23, his case managers are still saying they have no idea how long he will be held in segregation.

Casey does not have access to his property at this time; therefore, he may not have access to his friends and supporters' addresses and maybe unable to write. If you haven't heard from Casey in a while, please consider writing him so he has your address.

A Challenge: Spread the Strike to Every Jail, Juvie, and Prison!

This is a challenge to anyone who is supportive of the September 9th prisoners' strike but who has remained on the sidelines until now.

In order for this strike to not be snuffed out by a handful of prison censors and violent guards, it needs to spread uncontrollably beyond their reach. And because prisons strictly forbid communication between prisoners, it is our responsibility on the outside to facilitate this contagion.
