I have been looking forward to seeing a band I've loved for years play at this venue. The day before the show Waterside announced the times for the event. Inste...ad of starting at 8P the opening band will now go on at 915P and the main band not until almost 11P due to a scheduling conflict with Opera in the Park. Had I known about this prior to buying non-refundable tickets I would have skipped the show here and gone to another show outside of the state. To drastically change the time of an event because of a mistake on their part the day before a show is unprofessional and unacceptable. I am incredibly disappointed. I will not be attending another show here. See More

I'm very disappointed! I use to always go to Waterside growing up and also went when I worked downtown Norfolk. Went across the street for lunch and did some ...shopping and looked in the gift shops. We went there last night and it's nothing but a big drunk fest. No shops, not a good choice of foods to choose from. The prices are way over priced. It's not at all a family environment. The only good thing was you brought back The Fudgery and you have a Chipotle. Pathetic! I was born and raised here and have lots of wonderful memories of Waterside. Not this new place you so call Waterside. See More

We have been several times since the opening. We've been to festivals and concerts which were great just like old times down there. We've been to Blue moon and... Loved the nachos and bar food we ordered. We've been to Guys restaurant for an Anniversary dinner with guests and everyone loved the food. We've also gotten fudge and ice cream from the Fudgery . So amazing. Last night we went back with more company to the Rocky Mountain grill. Brought in Kogans pizza and enjoyed every moment of the live band playing and great views of the marina. No mosquitoes or flies. Just super laid back and totally enjoyable. No waitress trying to rush you out or someone trying to take your table . Can't wait to go back . See More

So this place is like a giant sports club now. There are a few high end dinning spots, a few middle priced spots and chipoltle. Great views, I saw a live show i...n the converted parking lot. You can walk around the whole place with adult beverages. People were nice. Good food variety and a wine bar. You can bring your drink outside and watch the sunset on the pier. Also the fudgery is there and the people there are just cool. I didn't leave the outdoor concert until 12:30 AM and the night club was hopping. See More

I absolutely love Blue Moon. Best place to eat in Waterside hands down. My biggest complaint is with the wine bar in the market. I'm a huge wine drinker and... the wine there was consistently bad wine. And not just to me. There were several of us and we all agreed... not good. Out of the four wines we tried only the Cabernet was truly drinkable. I've had better out of a two buck Chuck bottle. Really wish the wine bar would step up it's game. Otherwise, love the atmosphere and waterside as a whole. Just improve the wine bar please. See More

Waterside overall was nice, but we ate at the Bluemoon Taphouse & were very disappointed in it. They had no kid menus or cups, no tops for their to-go cups, & t...he food did not come out as ordered. The waitress was nice & offered to take back fix it, but it had taken long come originally I couldn't wait for them to redo it.
I would not eat there again.
I like the live music playing the main area & the Fudgery was good.

From start to finish my event experience with Waterside was a breeze. The Private Events Manager took care of everything and all of my guests had nothing but co...mpliments to share after the event. Everything from the food to the service was high quality. If you're looking for an all-inclusive venue for your next event, I seriously cannot recommend this location enough.

We rented the River Room in the Blue Moon Taphouse. Beautiful views and very spacious, not to mention it gave us just the right amount of privacy.

If you like beer and/or a “bar scene” vibe, you will love the new Waterside. It’s not a place that kids are gonna be amped on bc there literally is nothing at t...he new Waterside besides bar/restaurants. Wait, there’s a place that makes and sells fudge and a Chipotle. I’m not a disgruntled visitor, just someone who wishes he would have read a review like this before heading over from Portsmouth with my parents, niece, and nephew. See More

Place is awesome to walk around and the views are awesome though the food and service was not the best. Wife went to the wine bar and they're all out of moscato... on a Saturday by 5? And then went to an Asian food place and they messed up my poke bowl and by the time I finished it they had my pot stickers, very inconsistent. See More

The venue was great and the show was even better. All three bands were awesome. The only annoying part is all the merch and beer stands were cash only and it wa...s posted as being a 21+ event where all of us had wristbands but we still had to show our ID for every purchase. A trick for anyone attending in the future, buying your alcohol from the Blue Moon bar, right behind the venue, is way cheaper and they take cards See More

My first time at waterside district was for last nights Taking Back Sunday show. They changed the start times at last minute but, that didn't phase me. I bough ...my tickets months prior to the event going no matter what because I absolutely love tbs and this mama bear needed a night out. I had a freaking blast. Loved that it was outside, had great weather, and tbs rocked the stage. Thanks for a great night. I will definitely be returning! See More

Wasn't the best. Very few choices on the menu and expected it to be a lot better than what it was. For someone who travels around and tries a bunch of different food, there wasn't a big selection. I won't be going back. It was a one time try it out kind of place.

We ate at Chipotle and received a healthy portion. Plenty of choice of eateries. Nice view of the water and comfortable seating out on the deck. The remnants of Hurricane Maria made it a bit breezy but it was still nice. All staff and even the other patrons were friendly.

My husband and I really like the new waterside district!! We saw weezer there the opening week then I came up there before a concert at the norva with a girlfri...end and enjoyed it again..my only problem was staffing at the wine bar.. just think they could use a few more on a busy night and maybe a few more educated wine wise..but other than that we love it there!! Great improvements! See More

Jason and Jennifer were born in Norfolk, Virginia so this city will always be special to me. It's wonderful to return decades later and see the vision The Ente...rprise Corporation, their father, and city leaders imagined has been realized. The waterfront is now an vibrant and beautiful. Vann's children could not have selected a better place for Vann's Celebration Of Life. R.I.P. Vann Massey. See More

It's a great concept! My favorite bar is PBR because their happy hour is really good, as well as their country dance lessons. Also, I visited Blue Moon Taphouse... and really enjoyed a glass of wine outside, near the music tent and the port. Great the ambience there. I want more events please! See More

I've waited patiently for the newness to wear off before going. We went tonight, instead of going to our favorite local place for dinner. The staff, service and... view was great. The food & drinks at Blue Moon...very disappointing! Way over priced for the quality & quantity. We won't be returning. Very bummed. See More

I haven’t been back to Norfolk in many, many years and this place was a great welcome back. From the live music to the many food choices to the spectacular views ... I hope to return someday when I can spend more time exploring.

It has been renovated a variety of stores and restaurants into just one overpriced food court. Did not find anything appealing/appetizing from any of the menus.... What we had was too salty. Staff needs more training in customer service. We do not plan on returning nor do we recommend this place. See More

I had just arrived try and take the ferry across the water to go to the Beer Garden. I found out the ferry was going to be later than I had expected and I went ...inside to try and check out the Waterside market quote LOL. This place is terrible. It's like every food courts wet dream. There is no accountability for service as I noticed several people relieving looking disgruntled. I was willing to check out one of the restaurants but the prices on the menu were discouraging. There is no name in culinary headlines that will ever make me pay $30 for a half rack of ribs. Are you fucking kidding me get your life together man because this is not the way to Market to a small town LOL hashtag expecting to lose this comment in a couple minutes. See More
