Filip Krajinović

Filip Krajinović (Serbian Cyrillic: Филип Крајиновић; born 27 February 1992) is a Serbian professional tennis player, who achieved a career-high singles ranking of World No. 86 in April 2015. He made his ATP World Tour debut at the Serbian Open, losing in the first round, while he reached his first ATP Tour semifinals at the 2010 Serbia Open. In this tournament, Krajinović achieved a victory over the World No. 2 after Novak Djokovic retired, trailing 4–6.

Career

Junior career

Krajinović started playing tennis in local tennis clinic TK Žak. In 2006, he reached the fourth round of 2006 Orange Bowl, losing to Bernard Tomic Soon after, in 2007, he signed a contract with prestigious Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in Bradenton, Florida. The same year, Krajinović won four junior singles titles — Pančevo, Atlanta, Texas and Boca Raton.

In 2008 Krajinović won a junior title in Loverval. He reached the 3rd round of 2008 French Open, losing to Evgeny Donskoy. At the 2008 Wimbledon Championships, he reached his first junior grand slam semifinals, losing to eventual champion Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets. Krajinović also lost to Devin Britton (after winning the first set 1–6) in the semifinals of 2008 US Open.

Paris Masters

The Paris Masters is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players held in Paris, France. It is played indoors at the AccorHotels Arena. The event is part of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour. Prior to 1990 it was a premier tournament of the Grand Prix Tour and part of the Grand Prix Super Series. The event is usually the final tournament on the tour before the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals. Because of its sponsorship, the event is officially known as the BNP Paribas Masters. Prior to the Tennis Masters Series replacing the ATP Super 9 in 2000, the event was known as the Paris Open. It is also often referred to as the Paris Indoor event.

Ilie Năstase, Andre Agassi and Roger Federer are the only players to have ever won both Parisian tournaments (Bercy and the French Open). Federer won the French Open in 2009 and Bercy in 2011, Andre Agassi won both in 1999 like Ilie Năstase in 1973. In 2015, Marcelo Melo and Ivan Dodig won the doubles events at both tournaments. Novak Djokovic is the only player to successfully defend his title in Paris (2013-15).

Niggas in Paris

"Niggas in Paris" (edited for radio as "In Paris" or simply "Paris", edited for album as "Ni**as in Paris") is a song by American rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z from their collaboration album Watch the Throne (2011).

The song contains samples from "Baptizing Scene" by Reverend W.A. Donaldson and also samples dialogue from DreamWorks Pictures' 2007 film Blades of Glory. It debuted at number 75 on the US Billboard Hot 100 on the week of the album's release. The song has since peaked at number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Kanye West's 14th top-10 single and Jay-Z's 18th making Jay-Z the rapper with the most top-10 hits. As of November 2012, it has sold 3 million digital units in the United States.

"Niggas in Paris" won Best Rap Performance at the 55th Grammy Awards.

In an interview, Kanye West revealed that the song was inspired by his travels in Paris:

The song's production was originally offered to rapper Pusha T by Hit-Boy. However, Pusha turned it down, saying "It sounds like a video game. Get that shit out of here!"

John Isner

John Robert Isner (born 26 April 1985) is an American professional tennis player. Considered one of the best servers of the ATP World Tour, Isner achieved his career-high singles ranking of world no. 9 in April 2012, and is currently the highest ranked male American tennis player at world No. 12, as of 8 February 2016. In 2013, he became the 18th player to serve more than 5,000 aces on the ATP World Tour. He currently has 10th most aces in the history of ATP, having served more than 7,300 aces. At the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, he played the longest professional tennis match in history, defeating Nicolas Mahut in a total of 11 hours and 5 minutes of play over the course of three days. He also played the then 10th longest singles match, a 5-hour 41-minute encounter in the second round of the 2012 French Open.

Isner began his professional career in earnest in the summer of 2007. With a world ranking of no. 839, he needed wildcard entries into the main draws of every tournament, even at the Futures level.

ATP World Tour Masters 1000

The ATP World Tour Masters 1000 is a series of nine tennis tournaments that are part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tour, held annually throughout the year in Europe, North America and Asia. The series constitutes the most prestigious tournaments in men's tennis after the four Grand Slam events and the ATP World Tour Finals.

Results in ATP Masters 1000 events earn players more world ranking points than regular tournaments, though not as many as Grand Slam events or the year-end ATP World Tour Finals. Up until 2007, most Masters Series finals were contested as best of five-set matches. Currently, all Masters Series events are decided in best of three-set matches.
