Jeevan (actor)

Jeevan, born as Omkar Nath Dhar (October 24, 1915 in Srinagar - June 10, 1987), was an Indian Bollywood actor and was famous for playing the role of Narad Muni in mythological films of the 1950s. He has played the role of Narad Muni in more than 60 films. Later he played the role of a villain in many films of the 60s, 70s and 80s. His son Kiran Kumar is also an actor.

Early life

Jeevan was born into large family, he had 24 siblings. His grandfather was the Governor of Gilgit in Gilgit-Baltistan. He lost his father when he was 3 years old and his mother died at childbirth.

Career

From an early age, Jeevan wanted to be an actor as films had always fascinated him. Since his grandfather was the Governor, their family was considered royalty. Because a son of such a family joining films would not have been accepted as films were considered taboo, Jeevan ran away from home at the age of 18 and came to Bombay with only Rs. 26 in his pocket.

After a brief period of struggle, he eventually landed himself a job in the studios of Mohan Sinha (Vidya Sinha’s grandfather). His job was to stick silver paper on the reflectors. It was here while working as a reflector boy that he landed a lead role in the movie Fashionable India which was being made by Mohan Sinha.

One night she was attacked by a rapist, but saved by an homeless guy an Indian musician from the streets. The incident leads to her friendship to this person helping to revive his musical talents. While working on the project she submits her finding could help the homeless but could hurt the drug dealers who were using the homeless. She receives an award for the best social worker. Same night she was attacked by two homeless, inspired by the bad guys. She ended up in the hospital in coma. Something miracle happens at the end, a suspense that makes the film a good film.

All is well there for Suman as she is befriend by Prem which eventually blossom to love, Kaushalya finds out about Prem and Suman's relationship and approve of Suman as her daughter-in-law but Kishen is quite unhappy with the relationship as he have plans to get Prem marry to his business partner's daughter Seema thus he insults Suman and throw her out of his house. Karan returns and is enraged at the treatment his daughter receive and leaves the house immediately with his daughter. Prem too is unhappy with his dad's decision and he also leaves the house opting to marry Suman with the blessings of Karan. But Karan refuses to accept Prem and the only way Prem can win Karan's approval is if he prove that he can earn money by his own sweat.

Rajan does not get along with Mangala, takes to alcohol in a big way, stops his medical studies and joins the army, and Baldev re-locates to Bombay. The question remains will this troubled family ever be re-united again during their respective lifetimes?
