We compare two of the finest televisions that 2017 has to offer: the Samsung QLED and LG OLED.
Samsung's brand new QLED line of TVs is a series coined by the company that means "quantum light emitting diode". The new branding is an attempt to distinguish this TV as Samsung's most premium television and has the capacity to produce an image that's brighter than an OLED TV. The QLED suffers from an acute viewing angle, that requires the viewer to be in the middle of the TV, and could pose a problem if there are multiple people watching it.
With LG's OLED TV, the image is produced by starting with perfect black. With true blacks being produced, it's hard to beat the OLED in terms of picture quality. The color is spot on straight out of the box, and its motion is smoother than the QLED.
Although each TV has their strengths and weaknesses, the Samsung QLED and LG OLED both rock a well functioning on-screen interface, but we still have to give it to LG's OLED TV, with its amazing, true black picture quality.

En esta ocasión probamos una de las nuevas QLED TV de Samsung, cuya característica principal es que cuentan con Quauntun Dots, pequeños nanocristales que generan millones de combinaciones de colores naturales para que podamos apreciar la imagen tal cual como si la estuviéramos viendo en la vida real.
La diferencia sobresaliente de los nuevos televisores de QLED es que están diseñados y construidos bajo tres pilares: Q Picture, Q Style y Q Smart. El primero de estos hace referencia a la calidad de imagen y cantidad de colores que se muestra en las imágenes, donde además podremos disfrutar de una cantidad de brillo nunca antes visto sin deteriorar la calidad y pureza de la imagen.
Al mismo tiempo, su diseño Q Style ha sido cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle para que pueda encajar perfectamente en cualquier estilo que el usuario desee, ya que gracias a un casi invisible cable de fibra óptica que se conecta al One Connect no tendremos por qué ver una cascada de cables caer de la pantalla si está empotrada a la pared, o bien, tener un desorden de cables detrás del mueble donde la coloquemos.
Q Smart es el último de los ingredientes que hacen únicos en su clase a los televisores QLED, ya que gozan de funciones inteligentes impulsadas por Tizen, el sistema operativo de Samsung donde podremos controlar la pantalla con el smartphone o el control remoto inteligente al que incluso podremos dar órdenes por la voz para poder ver cualquier tipo de contenido disponible en nuestra pantalla.

Quantum dot
Quantum dots (QD) are semiconductor devices that tightly confine electrons or holes in all three spatial dimensions. They can be made via several possible routes including colloidal synthesis, plasma synthesis, or mechanical fabrication. The term “quantum dot” was coined by Mark Reed in 1988; however, they were first discovered in a glass matrix by Alexey Ekimov in 1981 and in colloidal solutions by Louis E. Brus in 1985. The electronic properties of the quantum dots fall between those of bulk semiconductors and those of discrete molecules of comparable size, and optoelectronic properties such as band gap, can be tuned as a function of particle size and shape for a given composition. For example, the photoluminescence of a QD can be manipulated to specific wavelengths by controlling particle diameter. Larger QDs (radius of 5-6 nm, for example) emit longer wavelengths resulting in emission colors such as orange or red. Smaller QDs (radius of 2-3 nm, for example) emit shorter wavelengths resulting in colors like blue and green, although the specific colors and sizes vary depending on the exact composition of the QD.

La diferencia sobresaliente de los nuevos televisores de QLED es que están diseñados y construidos bajo tres pilares: Q Picture, Q Style y Q Smart. El primero de estos hace referencia a la calidad de imagen y cantidad de colores que se muestra en las imágenes, donde además podremos disfrutar de una cantidad de brillo nunca antes visto sin deteriorar la calidad y pureza de la imagen. Al mismo tiempo, su diseño Q Style ha sido cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle para que pueda encajar perfectamente en cualquier estilo que el usuario desee, ya que gracias a un casi invisible cable de fibra óptica que se conecta al One Connect no tendremos por qué ver una cascada de cables caer de la pantalla si está empotrada a la pared, o bien, tener un desorden de cables detrás del mueble donde la coloquemos. Q Smart es el último de los ingredientes que hacen únicos en su clase a los televisores QLED, ya que gozan de funciones inteligentes impulsadas por Tizen, el sistema operativo de Samsung donde podremos controlar la pantalla con el smartphone o el control remoto inteligente al que incluso podremos dar órdenes por la voz para poder ver cualquier tipo de contenido disponible en nuestra pantalla. We compare two of the finest televisions that 2017 has to offer: the Samsung QLED and LG OLED. Samsung's brand new QLED line of TVs is a series coined by the company that means "quantum light emitting diode". En esta ocasión probamos una de las nuevas QLED TV de Samsung, cuya característica principal es que cuentan con Quauntun Dots, pequeños nanocristales que generan millones de combinaciones de colores naturales para que podamos apreciar la imagen tal cual como si la estuviéramos viendo en la vida real.
La diferencia sobresaliente de los nuevos televisores de QLED es que están diseñados y construidos bajo tres pilares: Q Picture, Q Style y Q Smart. El primero de estos hace referencia a la calidad de imagen y cantidad de colores que se muestra en las imágenes, donde además podremos disfrutar de una cantidad de brillo nunca antes visto sin deteriorar la calidad y pureza de la imagen.
Al mismo tiempo, su diseño Q Style ha sido cuidado hasta el más mínimo detalle para que pueda encajar perfectamente en cualquier estilo que el usuario desee, ya que gracias a un casi invisible cable de fibra óptica que se conecta al One Connect no tendremos por qué ver una cascada de cables caer de la pantalla si está empotrada a la pared, o bien, tener un desorden de cables detrás del mueble donde la coloquemos.
Q Smart es el último de los ingredientes que hacen únicos en su clase a los televisores QLED, ya que gozan de funciones inteligentes impulsadas por Tizen, el sistema operativo de Samsung donde podremos controlar la pantalla con el smartphone o el control remoto inteligente al que incluso podremos dar órdenes por la voz para poder ver cualquier tipo de contenido disponible en nuestra pantalla.
La nueva QLED Q7 F de 55 pulgadas que hemos probado y que puedes apreciar en nuestro video incluye las siguientes características:

- Densidad: 3100 PPP
- Tecnología QHDR 1500 (Alto Rango Dinámico)
