Funny Pets

Funny Pets (ファニーペッツ) ( 재미 있은 애완 동물 ) is a South Korean/Japanese digital computer (CGI) anime series created and directed by Ryuji Masuda that was made in 2006.

The sound effects were made by Shizuo Kurahashi. The plot of the series is that a UFO carrying two aliens from another planet ends up falling into Earth, where they are saved by a moody air-headed showgirl called Funny. The two aliens, the moon-like Crescent and the sun-like Corona, must adjust to life as Funny's pets. There are twelve episodes in the series.

Koala

The koala (Phascolarctos cinereus, or, inaccurately, koala bear) is an arboreal herbivorous marsupial native to Australia. It is the only extant representative of the family Phascolarctidae and its closest living relatives are the wombats. The koala is found in coastal areas of the mainland's eastern and southern regions, inhabiting Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia. It is easily recognisable by its stout, tailless body and large head with round, fluffy ears and large, spoon-shaped nose. The koala has a body length of 60–85 cm (24–33 in) and weighs 4–15 kg (9–33 lb). Pelage colour ranges from silver grey to chocolate brown. Koalas from the northern populations are typically smaller and lighter in colour than their counterparts further south. These populations possibly are separate subspecies, but this is disputed.

Koalas typically inhabit open eucalypt woodlands, and the leaves of these trees make up most of their diet. Because this eucalypt diet has limited nutritional and caloric content, koalas are largely sedentary and sleep up to 20 hours a day. They are asocial animals, and bonding exists only between mothers and dependent offspring. Adult males communicate with loud bellows that intimidate rivals and attract mates. Males mark their presence with secretions from scent glands located on their chests. Being marsupials, koalas give birth to underdeveloped young that crawl into their mothers' pouches, where they stay for the first six to seven months of their lives. These young koalas, known as joeys, are fully weaned around a year old. Koalas have few natural predators and parasites, but are threatened by various pathogens, such as Chlamydiaceae bacteria and the koala retrovirus, as well as by bushfires and droughts.

Oliver Heldens

Oliver Heldens (born Olivier Heldens; February 1, 1995) is a Dutch electronic music producer from Rotterdam in the Netherlands. His 2013 song, "Gecko", caught the attention of Tiësto, who signed him to his label; Musical Freedom and released the track with vocals from British singer Becky Hill on June 23, 2014. Heldens also has a weekly podcast titled Heldeep Radio. His songs "Gecko (Overdrive)", "Last All Night (Koala)" and his remix of Dr Kucho!'s "Can't Stop Playing" charted as top 5 singles in the UK, reaching 1st, 5th and 4th position respectively. In 2015, he began producing bass house songs under the alias 'HI-LO', which comes from 'Oli H' in reversed form. Under his alias, Heldens produced three singles titled "Crank It Up", "Renegade Mastah" and "Wappy Flirt", releasing the latter two on his label Heldeep Records.

Career

2013–present: Breakthrough

Heldens began his professional music career when he signed to Spinnin' Records in 2013. His first releases on the label include "Stinger" and "Thumper" which features DJ Jacob van Hage. Later collaborations include "Panther" with 'Robby East' which was released on the Oxygen label on the December 2, 2013. The single "Gecko" was released in the same month on Tiesto's Musical Freedom record label. The song peaked at number 1 on the DMC Magazine Buzz Chart and was named "Essential New Tune" by BBC's Pete Tong on January 31, 2014.

Wildlife Park

Wildlife Park is a construction and management simulation game released in 2003. Like Zoo Tycoon and Zoo Empire, the game involves players in building a wildlife park or zoo. The game spawned two sequels.

By contrast, sophisticated forms of humour such as satire require an understanding of its social meaning and context, and thus tend to appeal to the mature audience.

Occurred on August 4, 2017 / Tocumwal, NSW, Australia "As I was dispensing scripts at the Tocumwal Pharmacy I heard a car beep driving past and looked up to see a koala sitting at the front door waiting to come in. A customer was walking towards the door and as the door opened the koala walked in to do some local shopping after having made the short 150 metre walk from the treetops by the Murray River. The koala was very relaxed and friendly and walked around the store for around 10 minutes. The local vet's wife was next door at IGA supermarket and called her husband who then contacted the right people for advice. We were advised to let it do its thing and the koala left the pharmacy. Imagine a little koala running over to you for cuddles, and then rolling onto his back for belly rubs and tickles. Wouldn't you just die! Now imagine after all that cuteness, it then chills out in your arms as you both lay back on the ground to enjoy the sunshine. That is exactly what happens to "arguably the luckiest zookeeper in the world", Tami Wilson, a zookeeper at Symbio Wildlife Park, located on the Southern outskirts of Sydney on a regular basis. You see, Tami has developed such a strong bond with little Harry the koala joey, that even at the sight of her he will climb down from the trees within the sanctuary and run over to greet her. You would never have picked it from how happy Harry is, however the young joey had what can only be described as a rough start to life after his mother passed away from leukaemia when he was just 4 months of age. This left him as an orphan, and the zookeeper's with a rather tough decision to make. At this young age, Harry was yet to receive the vital pap secretion required from his mother to enable him to adequately digest his future staple diet of eucalyptus leaves. The zoo keepers decided that to ensure his survival, his best chances were to cross surrogate Harry into "the now world famous" Imogen's mother's pouch, and then hand raised Imogen. Imogen's mother adapted to her new role of being a surrogate mother to Harry instantly, and the two flourished. Now Harry has moved into the Symbio Koala Sanctuary full time and is enjoying his new found independence, and of course, more cuddles and tickles than ever before from his favourite human 'zookeeper Tami'. This DIY took longer than expected because of a delay in getting materials AND the actual crafting process was trickier than I thought ^_^". I nearly ended up not being able to make this video at all because only one of my DIY squishies worked. But please don't let my experience scare you off from trying this DIY yourself. I made a lot of mistakes in this video so you don't have to, and if you follow the instructions carefully then it should be fairly straightforward! These are things to remember when using Milky Hitohada Gel: 1) The final mixture needs to have a ratio of 3:1, which means 75% Milky Base Resin and 15% Clear Hardener. This should be measured as precisely as possible using baking scales. 2) The mould can be made using 2-part putty or Oyumaru. Of course, you can use any existing silicone moulds as well, such as those for DIY resin casting, DIY clay crafts, cake pops or ice cubes. 3) If adding colour, use a TINY amount of powder pigment and mix this into the base resin. The instructions do warn you that using too much pigment can affect the curing process, which was most likely what happened in my case :( 4) KEEP AWAY FROM WATER. Even a single drop of food colouring is enough to ruin the squishy mixture, so do not use any liquid inks or paint before it's fully cured. 5) Wash your hands repeatedly when handling a freshly-cured squishy. These attract dust & dirt really easily and are very difficult to clean. I know that Hitohada actually create products for industrial use (e.g. forensics & manufacturing) so it's likely that they simply rebranded some materials for the crafting / DIY market. Most craft products, especially those aimed at children have a high margin of error. Meaning that even if you eyeball the measurements or accidentally add something else, it doesn't make a difference to the outcome. However in this case, getting a measurement wrong by a few grams can make the difference between having a perfect squishy and a completely failed one. This is even more noticeable in my clear squishy DIY. So as mentioned, it's best to treat this project as a very special "luxury" crafting experience. If you just want squishies then it's cheaper to buy them. But if you want to try a totally new and unique type of DIY, then give this a try.
