Tristania
Tristania is a monotypic genus of flowering plants native to New South Wales, Australia, closely related to Callistemon. The genus had a number of species, but some have been reclassified as Lophostemon and Tristaniopsis. The sole species currently in the genus is Tristania neriifolia. It is known commonly as the water gum.
It is a small tree, with dense branching. The leaves are evergreen, opposite, simple, lanceolate, 5–9 cm long and 1 cm broad. The flowers are produced in dense clusters of 3–15 together; each flower is 1–1.5 cm diameter, with five small yellow petals and numerous conspicuous stamens.

Tristania (band)
Tristania is a band from Norway, formed in 1995 by Morten Veland, Einar Moen and Kenneth Ølsson. Tristania's music is usually classified as symphonic gothic metal with death/doom influences (especially on the early albums), due to its strong tie and legacy within the gothic metal history. Their songs largely deal with dark and sentimental topics, including depression, sadness, suicide, love, absence, and anger.
Background
In 1992, Morten Veland and Kenneth Ølsson formed Uzi Suicide. Since Veland was getting more interested in the UK gothic scene, his songwriting began to take a darker feel. Fragments of the band later became Tristania.
Biography
Founding, early career
Tristania was founded in Stavanger, Norway by Einar Moen (keyboards), Morten Veland (vocals/guitar), and Kenneth Ølsson (drums) in 1995. A few weeks later Anders Høyvik Hidle (guitars/vocals) and Rune Østerhus (bass) joined the band. Vibeke Stene was initially recruited as a guest singer for the demo recording in 1996, but she later joined as a regular member. According to Stene, she did not know she was in the band until she read an interview after Widow's Weeds was released. In May 1997, the band entered the studio for the first time and recorded their demo in Klepp Lydstudio. During the summer of 1997 different labels showed interest in the demo. Tristania signed with Napalm Records and released the EP Tristania.

The end result is an exciting and creative album with a fresh sound straddling the lines between rock, metal, and gothic atmospheres with prominent vocal melodies and hooks. In the words of singer Mariangela Demurtas, "[t]he album is a carousel of fatalism, confusion, insight, enlightenment, self-deception, bitterness, loss of faith, apathy, closure, and hope of a new dawn spinning relentlessly towards the looming contours of the end. Or the complete opposite. We definitely like to leave as much free interpretation as possible to the audience."
About “Last Moment”, Mariangela says, “it is a song about approaching the end. It is actually an optimistic and positive song compared to some others on the album; however, focusing on the notion that something better than this world is waiting, so we can leave life with a radiant hope. In the video we wanted to show our identity in a way that the audience could see how we express ourselves lyrically and musically."
Fans of The Gathering, Lacuna Coil, latter-era Tiamat, and newer artists like Idle Hands will find much to love hear and should keep their ears open for Ardours.
Ardours have also announced that their first live show will take place on September 7th 2019 at La Cueva Rock in Quartucciu (Cagliari) Italy.

Tristania
Tristania is a monotypic genus of flowering plants native to New South Wales, Australia, closely related to Callistemon. The genus had a number of species, but some have been reclassified as Lophostemon and Tristaniopsis. The sole species currently in the genus is Tristania neriifolia. It is known commonly as the water gum.
It is a small tree, with dense branching. The leaves are evergreen, opposite, simple, lanceolate, 5–9 cm long and 1 cm broad. The flowers are produced in dense clusters of 3–15 together; each flower is 1–1.5 cm diameter, with five small yellow petals and numerous conspicuous stamens.
