Stop begging Ajit Pai/FCC to do the right thing on . He won't. Instead make him a drag to Republican party elections, an embarrassment-- think Roy Moore. Call your Republican congressmen & senators, tell them they must disown/stop FCC & that you vote on this issue.

Happy to have this conversation. I want their work to have a positive impact as well. I know it’s why all of us work at Twitter. There are tons of easier work options elsewhere for all our people and it is my failure if they don’t have the shot at fixing Twitter.

It wasn’t. Longer discussion we can have. If you see our calendar, lots of changes being made. 280 is built by people who we can’t effectively add to accelerate abuse work. Whenever we can add more people effectively we do.

But, if it is a clever sock puppet, they are both very good at being convincing AND not great at driving engagement or influence as seen in the lack of either on nearly all of their tweets except this current example. Real sock puppets do all well.

There are other more subjective judgements that people can see for themselves. Consistency of voice and interest over a very long period of time. Some human powered sock puppets can do this well though.

There are a number of account level signals that makes it unlikely to be a bot. One of which is location being consistent with related signals from internal systems.

I do not believe they are a bot. It is a challenge to make the product clearer so it’s easier for people to distinguish.

at a Danzig show in high school, a bouncer got me & my friend backstage. lots of teens hanging out, thinking we were going to party SO hard! Glenn finally came out, talked to everyone about healthy choices & weight lifting, and made every kid take a piece of fruit when we left.

The confusion around verification is created by . No blame intended, my tweet was poorly worded. There is confusion about ID versus endorsement and it's our fault.
