The List - NME's Top 75 Albums of The Year

Xmasss is a wonderful special time ---  that wonderful special time for staring at crappy movies on telly, family feuding, getting drunk, throwing up and thinking of suicide. All that, and the time for the herds of so-called critics to come up with pompous lists! Like this one from Brit Indie Mag NME!

So, to expedite those suicidal thoughts, NME have concocted their list of the Top 75 Albums of 2010

My taste is so bad cos I didn't come up with the right NME answers!! ... Waaaaaaawwwwww!!! I'm gonna shoot myself!!

Sorry, crazily overhyped indie outfits and ridicuous muzak mongering drones like Kanye West, Kelis, Big Boi and Janelle Monae don't really do it for me!!

A few of the LPs listed here were pretty good, but of course, almost none of my faves appear here - fine 2010 releases from the likes of Teenage Fanclub, Eli Paperboy Reed, Pete Molinari, Damien Jurado, Hurts and Neil Young. I'd definitely have the Beach House and The Fall on my shortlist though.

Anyway, you officially ain't shit unless you've got all these! ......

The Music - Hurts' 'Happiness' - Live in Manchester

Man, this impending debut album from Man duo Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson ain't half getting a shitload of hype in Britland!

Shockingly - contrary to what a gander at the (very Pet Shop Boys) cover might suggest! - it's pretty damn good! Very Eighties-Synth-tastic!!

Yap, kinda like what you might get if you stuck the best aspects of Ultravox, Soft Cell, Pet Shop Boys, Gary Numan and Human League together ... and added a few Film Noir soundtrack moments!

Although this track's got the same title as the album, it doesn't appear thereon. Instead,to promote the release of the album, the band released the song "Happiness" as a free download via Amazon.co.uk this month.

The LP drops September 14, 2010.
