In general use, herbs are any plants used for food, flavoring, medicine, or perfume. Culinary use typically distinguishes herbs from spices. Herbs refer to the leafy green parts of a plant (either fresh or dried), while a "spice" is a product from another part of the plant (usually dried), including seeds, berries, bark, roots and fruits.
In botanical English the word "herb" is also used as a synonym of "herbaceous plant".
Herbs have a variety of uses including culinary, medicinal, and in some cases spiritual usage. General usage of the term "herb" differs between culinary herbs and medicinal herbs. In medicinal or spiritual use any of the parts of the plant might be considered "herbs", including leaves, roots, flowers, seeds, resin, root bark, inner bark (and cambium), berries and sometimes the pericarp or other portions of the plant.
The word "herb" is pronounced /ˈhɜːrb/ by most English-speaking countries, but /ˈɜːrb/ is common among North American speakers and those from other regions where h-dropping occurs.
Mountain Rose Herbs is an American herbal distribution retailer based in Eugene, Oregon and founded in 1987. It is the first Fair Trade Certified supplier of medicinal herbs in the United States.
Herbalist Rosemary Gladstar started Mountain Rose Herbs in order to provide herbal materials and supplies to students of the California School of Herbal Studies. The retailer continued as a home-based business in Humboldt County, California until the late 1990s, under several different owners, filling orders by mail from a small catalog. In 1998 the company moved into a larger residential location in North San Juan, California.
Mountain Rose Herbs relocated to a commercial location in Pleasant Hill, Oregon in 2001 to be closer to many of its farms and suppliers. The retailer became a certified organic processor through Oregon Tilth in 2002. In 2010, the company moved again to a larger facility in Eugene, Oregon.
In 2011, Mountain Rose Herbs created and hosted the four-day Rootstalk Festival in Salem, Oregon. Over 700 people attended herbal education workshops and classes taught by herbalists, botanists, and environmental experts. All proceeds went to the nonprofit known as Cascadia Wildlands.
Herbalism ("herbology" or "herbal medicine") is use of plants for medicinal purposes, and the study of such use. Plants have been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history, and such traditional medicine is still widely practiced today. Modern medicine recognizes herbalism as a form of alternative medicine, as the practice of herbalism is not strictly based on evidence gathered using the scientific method. Modern medicine, does, however, make use of many plant-derived compounds as the basis for evidence-tested pharmaceutical drugs, and phytotherapy works to apply modern standards of effectiveness testing to herbs and medicines that are derived from natural sources. The scope of herbal medicine is sometimes extended to include fungal and bee products, as well as minerals, shells and certain animal parts.

If you have a glass jar and access to fresh water, you can grow a supply of herbs in water right on your windowsill! While any medium -sized container will do, Mason Jars are particularly cute! Growing procedure for all the herbs is the same. Simply take some healthy, fresh cuttings - Leaving just two sets of leaves at the top of each cutting, and remove the remaining leaves. You can also just enjoy the sweet scent of this fragrant herb Peppermint does well in partially sunny or shady windows. 2. lyrics: My friend, My friend, I hate to see you suffer, Events conspire to bring us to our knees, My friend, my friend, you've taken this the wrong way, Rise up, defend yourself, never give in, Look to the sky, the spirit of Te Whiti, The endless tide is murmuring his name. I know Te Whiti will never be defeated, And even at the darkest hour, His presence will remain. I'll sing to you the song of Parihaka. Te Whiti he used the language of the spirit, Then stood accused, the madman and his dream, He saw the train go roaring through the tunnel, He heard the voice travel on the magic wire, But he loved the silence of the river, He watched the dog piss on the cannon's wheel. I know Te Whiti will never be defeated, And even at the darkest hour, His presence will remain. I'll sing to you the...

Herbalism one of the cornerstones that is part of the panoramic Homeopathic Lifestyle.
Can you see yourself, under a coconut tree
Wanting for nothing, or maybe a cooler breeze
Where all things romantic, in the south pacific
And the only peace is the spit on a feast, your feast
yeah
Do you know what makes the ocean glow
Do you know what makes the ocean glow
When unwelcome guests, are making nuclear tests
are making nuclear tests, are making nuclear tests,
are making nuclear tests
Oh yes, no nukes hah ahhhhhhh
Nuclear mis energy, nuclear, nuclear, free yo yo yo yo
Is there nothing at all who can appease your greed,
Could you please leave the air we breath
Why is it something we’ve done
You all seem to forget
About nuclear fallout and the long term effects
Is there anything gained when you hide the plane
Anything gained when you hide the plane
Let me be more specific, get out of the pacific
Ki te la pacific, get out of the pacific
Ki te la pacific
Oh yes, no nukes hah ahhhhhhh
Nuclear mis energy, nuclear, nuclear,
Nuclear free yeah
Nuclear free yeah
Nuclear free yeah
Nuclear free yeah
Nuclear free yeah
