Bushehr or Bushire pronunciation [buːˈʃeɾ] (Persian: بوشهر; also Romanized as Būshehr, Bouchehr, Buschir, and Busehr; also Bandar Bushehr (Persian: بندر بوشهر), also Romanized as Bandar Būshehr and Bandar-e Būshehr; previously known as Beh Ardasher Antiochia in Persis (Greek: Αντιόχεια της Περσίδος) and Bukht Ardashir, is the capital city of Bushehr Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 161,674, in 40,771 families.
Bushehr lies in a vast plain running along the coastal region on the Persian Gulf coast of south-western Iran, it is built near the ancient port city of Rishahr/Reshire (Sassanian, Riv Ardasher). It was the chief seaport of the country and is the administrative centre of its province. Its location is about 1,218 kilometres (757 mi) south of Tehran. The local climate is humid.
Bushehr was the main trade center of Iran in the past centuries. The city structures are traditional in style, modest in proportion and cost. Due to its lack of rail connection to the interior of the country and its shallow anchorage, it has lost its position as the primary port of Iran.
The Persian Gulf (Persian:خلیج فارس Khalīj-e Fārs) is a mediterranean sea in Western Asia. An extension of the Indian Ocean (Gulf of Oman) through the Strait of Hormuz, it lies between Iran to the northeast and the Arabian Peninsula to the southwest. The Shatt al-Arab river delta forms the northwest shoreline.
The Persian Gulf was a battlefield of the 1980–1988 Iran–Iraq War, in which each side attacked the other's oil tankers. It is the namesake of the 1991 Gulf War, the largely air- and land-based conflict that followed Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.
The gulf has many fishing grounds, extensive coral reefs, and abundant pearl oysters, but its ecology has been damaged by industrialization and oil spills.
The body of water is historically and internationally known as the "Persian Gulf". Some Arab governments refer to it as the "Arabian Gulf" or "The Gulf", but neither term is recognized internationally. The name "Gulf of Iran (Persian Gulf)" is used by the International Hydrographic Organization.
Bushehr Province (Persian: استان بوشهر, Ostān-e Būshehr ) is one of the 31 provinces of Iran. It is in the south of the country, with a long coastline onto the Persian Gulf. Its center is Bandar-e-Bushehr, the provincial capital. The province has nine counties: Asaluyeh, Bushehr, Dashtestan, Dashti, Dayyer, Deylam, Jam, Kangan, Ganaveh and Tangestan. In 2011, the province had a population of approximately 1 million people.
The province was put as part of Region 2 upon the division of the provinces into 5 regions solely for coordination and development purposes on June 22nd, 2014.
The Greeks knew of Bushehr by Mezambria during the battles of Nearchus. A French excavating team however in 1913 determined the origin of Bushehr to date back to the Elamite Empire. A city there, known as Lyan, contained a temple that was designed to protect the compound from naval attacks. Its remains can still be seen today 10 kilometers south of the present city of Bushehr.
Marco Polo describes this region as part of the Persian province of Shabankareh. It contains the village of Saba, Iran where are buried (he was told) the three Magi which visited the Christ Child.
Persian (/ˈpɜːrʒən/ or /ˈpɜːrʃən/), also known by its endonym Farsi (English: /ˈfɑːrsiː/; Persian: فارسی fārsi [fɒːɾˈsiː]), is the predominant modern descendant of Old Persian, a southwestern Iranian language within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European languages. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan (officially known as Dari since 1958 for political reasons), and Tajikistan (officially known as Tajiki since the Soviet era for political reasons), and some other regions which historically came under Persian influence. The Persian language is classified as a continuation of Middle Persian, the official religious and literary language of Sassanid Persia, itself a continuation of Old Persian, the language of the Achaemenid Persian Empire. Persian is a pluricentric language and its grammar is similar to that of many contemporary European languages. Persian is so-called due to its origin from the capital of the Achaemenid empire, Persis (Fars or Pars), hence the name Persian (Farsi or Parsi). A Persian-speaking person may be referred to as Persophone.
Iran (/aɪˈræn/ or i/ɪˈrɑːn/;Persian: Irān – ایران [ʔiːˈɾɒːn]), also known as Persia (/ˈpɜːrʒə/ or /ˈpɜːrʃə/), officially the Islamic Republic of Iran (جمهوری اسلامی ایران – Jomhuri ye Eslāmi ye Irān [d͡ʒomhuːˌɾije eslɒːˌmije ʔiːˈɾɒːn]), is a country in Western Asia. It is bordered to the northwest by Armenia, the de facto Nagorno-Karabakh, and Azerbaijan; with Kazakhstan and Russia across the Caspian Sea; to the northeast by Turkmenistan; to the east by Afghanistan and Pakistan; to the south by the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman; and to the west by Turkey and Iraq. Comprising a land area of 1,648,195 km2 (636,372 sq mi), it is the second-largest country in the Middle East and the 18th-largest in the world. With 78.4 million inhabitants, Iran is the world's 17th-most-populous country. It is the only country that has both a Caspian Sea and an Indian Ocean coastline. Iran has long been of geostrategic importance because of its central location in Eurasia and Western Asia, and its proximity to the Strait of Hormuz.

Siraf (Persian: سیراف; also Romanized as Sīraf or Bandar-e Sīraf, "Bandar" meaning "Port" in Persian) is an Ancient city in the Central District of Kangan County, Bushehr Province, Iran. Siraf was according to a legend an ancient Sassanid port, destroyed around 970 CE, which was located on the north shore of the Persian Gulf in what is now the Iranian province of Bushehr. Its ruins are approximately 220 km east of Bushire and 380 km west of Bandar Abbas,30 km east from Kangan city.Siraf controlled three ports: Bandar-e-Taheri, Bandar-e-Kangan and Bandar-e-Dayer. The Persian Gulf was used as a shipping route between the Arabian Peninsula and India over the Arabian Sea. Small boats, such as dhows, could also make the long journey by staying close to the coast and keeping land in sight. B...

http://facebook.com/invisusmundi Despite the fact Iran is very modern in so many ways, women must follow some regulations what should they wear. There are some regulations how women should dress when they go swimming. First of all, it is forbidden to swim in a bikini type swimming suite in Iran beaches. Also, it is usually not allowed for men and women to swim in the same beach area. Most of the time there is a part of a beach for women, another part for men and the last part for family picnics. Our Iranian friend Daria from Bushehr (South of Iran) took us to her favorite Persian Gulf beach. In this video Kamile shows how what should women wear in Iran when they go swimming. Qeshm Island is located a few kilometers off the southern coast of Iran (Persian Gulf), opposite the port cities of Bandar Abbas and Bandar Khamir. Historical records concerning the Qeshm island date far back into the pre-Islamic era. Names as Qeshm, Keshm, Kish and Tunb mark the lengthy stay of Ilamids in the area, several centuries BC. It is, apparently, the island called Alexandria or Aracia by Ptolemy (Book 6, Chap. IV), in the 2nd century CE and as Alexandria by Ammianus Marcellinus (xxiii.6.42) in the 4th century. On account of its strategic geopolitical situation, near the mouth of the Persian Gulf, it has been frequently attacked by invaders including Ilamids (Elamites), Umayyads, Abbasids as well as the Portuguese and the English. During Sassanian Empire administration the island...
IRAN-2017| YASD, Bride of Desert and City of Wind Catchers (Badgir). Yazd is known as the city of wind catchers (Badgir) and is renowned for the number and variety of its wind catchers. Badgir is an example of traditional sustainable architecture for clean energy. The Badgir is a traditional Persian architecturale device used to create natural ventilation (passive air-conditioning) of buildings. To increase the cooling effect, water vessels are often placed inside the shaft or damp straw mats are hung across the vent. The badgirs effectiveness in cooling has led to its being used as a refrigerater for water cistern (Ab anbar). The underground irrigation system (Qanat) is an early technological wonder from 1000 BCE. The Qanat underground aquaducts network brought mountain ground water to ...

Ahhhhh……
You are no Angel
Though you've got those blue eyes
But there is some magic
The way you use those sighs
And I still want ya
God only knows just why
You are no Angel
When all you do is lie
You are no Angel
Though I've seen you flyin’
You need a Halo
Even though you're cryin’
But don't think I like it
Known’ that it's true
The things they’re sayin’
About the things ya do
You are no Angel (Be my Angel be my love)
But there is some magic (Be my Angel be my love)
And I still want ya
God only knows just why
You are no Angel
When all you do is lie
(INSTRUMENTAL) Ooooo
Ooooo
And I still want ya
God only knows just why
You are no Angel
When all you do is lie
You are no Angel (Be my Angel)
Though you've got those blue eyes
But there is some magic (Be my Angel)
The way you use those sighs
And I still want ya (Be my Angel)
God only knows just why (Oh Yeah!)
You are no Angel
When all you do is lie
You are no Angel (yeah, hey)
Though you've got those blue eyes (Got those blue eyes)

And I still want ya (Be my Angel)
