Fine Times - Hey Judas (The Passenger's Day Time Acid Mix)

Brand new remix of Fine Times' first single, Hey Judas has surfaced thanks to Vancouver's, The Passenger. Really love how he's taken the 3/4 time and turned it more into a 4/4 timed groove. You should check it out and become a fan of Fine Times over on Facebook. Also, if you are in the Vancouver area, Fine Times will be playing a show with Saint Motel, this Tuesday, December 4th at the Media Club.

Misty - Shadow Of Love

You like Misty. You like Sloan. Then what could be better than a Sloan cover by Misty? Maybe a Misty cover by Sloan. They have performed together before, so it's not totally out of the question. It could happen. I believe this recording precedes the last bunch of stuff I posted by her. It's really different from the original version. Check it out!

Here's some footage from back in 2006 when Misty was on tour with Sloan.

New Order - The Perfect Kiss (Live)

There ain't no cure for the summertime blues! Sure evident in this great clip taken on a hot Sumner's night in Toronto. Had tickets for this show but had to bow out cause of, oh geez, I have no idea. Having seen The Cure at the same venue that October, I can imagine how hot the International Centre was in the summer. This song is also a perfect summer epic!

Fine Times - Enola Gay

Vancouver's Fine Times released this cover of OMD's Enola Gay on the same day OMD's version was used in the Olympics opening ceremony. Coincidence? I think not.

The Stone Roses - Renigate!

Of course by now everyone's heard about The Stone Roses show in Amsterdam. Very excited to hear about tonight's show in Sweden. I mean, come on, things are going to go ahead as planned and pretty much confirmed that everything is just peachy according to a post by John Robb
this morning. He has also coined the instantly legendary term, Renigate, in regards to this whole incident. Thank the lord the Roses are back. From the footage I've watched it's just brilliant. You know Brown is never gonna sing great live but the vibe is there and the band is smoking. Some of the stuff Reni is doing is unbelievable. One of the absolute greatest of all time.

Misty - Got You (Demo)

Former Yoko Casionos singer, guitarist Misty has started posting demo versions of her new post-Yokos material. Still putting out amazing pop hooks and melody's, but now with a little more of a dance feel to it. Let's hope that this is sign of what's to come, and if these are just demos, I can't imagine how the final recorded versions will sound cause this sounds dynamite!

Tanlines - Brothers

Brooklyn's Tanlines are finally about to release their debut album in March called Mixed Emotions. The lasting effects of 2010's Settings EP and especially the infectious single, Real Life are still lingering. Saw them live last year in Vancouver and was blown over by their greatness, not to mention one of the better crowds Vancouver has ever had to offer. Judging by some of the newer tracks they played that night, I'm very excited to hear the forthcoming offering. They played a real rockin', very New Orderish thing I hope has lasted to this point! The latest single does not disappoint either. It's called Brothers and you can download it for free at their new website, as well as a special remixed version as well. And that's not all. Also, check out the cool new video for Brother which you can scroll around 360 degrees using your mouse on the screen! Pretty sweet!

Sylver Tongue - Hook You Up

We were wondering what was goin' on with Charlotte Hatherley! We all know she has released 3 awe inspiring solo albums after leaving Ash, done stints with Bat For Lashes, KT Tunstall and Bryan Ferry, did the Ash greatest hits tour, wrote songs with Andy from XTC!!!....but now what?
Well now we know. A new project under a new name, lots of synths, very 80'sish, and I like it alot! In fact, if you Like Sylver Tongue on Facebook, you'll get a free download of the track and so I'm hooking you up with the info!
