Photo Recap: Fountain Square Music Festival

Festivals usually consist of heaps of great bands playing a packed schedule that leaves little chance of seeing everyone that you want to. A few weeks ago the Fountain Square neighborhood in downtown Indianapolis was host to such an event, the aptly named Fountain Square Music Festival. Five stages and over 60 bands playing over two days, there was so much going on that you almost certainly would miss a few choice acts, but you were still guaranteed to have a blast. We already can’t wait for 2018.

Stream Ghost Loft’ s New Song “Be True”

Danny Choi aka Ghost Loft continues to drop pretty fantastic song and his latest “Be True” might be one of his better ones to date. The production is covered with blackout tinting with ultimate effect for long-drives during the night. Give it a spin below.

Listen to “Wallowa Lake Monster” from Sufjan Stevens

 photo sufjanstevens_zpsmlx7r5ms.jpg

Sufjan Stevens’ Carrie & Lowell album was our favorite from 2015, so you know we are stoked he is releasing a new collection of outtakes, remixes, and demos from the Carrie & Lowell sessions under the title, The Greatest Gift Mixtape. “Wallowa Lake Monster” is the first reveal from the 11-song set. The tracks is as beautiful and haunting as any cut from the Carrie & Lowell album is seasonally appropriate both lyrically and by title.

Porches Shares Video for New Single “Country”

 photo porches2_zpsbq51ik75.png

We are looking at 2018 before we get a new album and follow-up to last year’s exceptional Pools from Aaron Maine’s Porches project. However, we do have a brand new meditative track “Country” to hold us over until then along with a beautifully shot visual companion. The production is a dreamy as ever with the song it self coming off as an affirmation or prayer with Dev Hynes and Bryndon Cook inserting some harmonies.
